  1. I was greatly amused by Jay's sulking. Flat-out denying what everyone witnessed....including Olivia, who admitted to participating in whatever went on...was pretty ridiculous and just made him look like a liar on top of being a cheater. I was impressed by Melissa's apology to Raven (for throwing the drink at her), which seemed very genuine. Will it stop Melissa from going off on someone again? Probably not, but she did seem contrite. Berna seems like a very high maintenance friend. It was sweet to hear Tori singing Jordan's praises when it came to the greatest Challenge champion ever. And, it's interesting that the consensus seemed to be Laurel for greatest female champion ever. I think Evelyn should have been mentioned in that conversation. ETA: For a split second, when they asked Cara Maria for her thoughts, I almost thought she was going to say herself (and, legitimately, a good argument could be made that Cara Maria has performed better than Laurel). I think she just didn't want to come off as egotistical.
  2. Despite her gratitude for the experience, Katie confirmed that she and Vince are no longer dating. “That’s what everyone wants to know,” she said in an Instagram Story Q&A on Saturday, December 9. “No. That being said, if I’m ever asked to go on reality TV to date again, please just cancel me. Three times and [it] doesn’t work out? Maybe reality TV isn’t where your husband is, just a thought.” https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/katie-thurston-ends-vince-xu-091736369.html#:~:text=Despite her gratitude for the,Q%26A on Saturday%2C December 9.
  3. For anyone else whose DVR, like mine, cut off before the nominations were revealed: Felicia and Cirie are on the block.
  4. What I heard them say was the last three couples were "not necessarily the bottom three," but that the final two were the bottom two.
  5. Perhaps I'm not following the drama -- entirely possible.... I generally multitask when watching. But, what exactly was the great sin that Bergie committed against Victor? I get that Victor is embarassed that Carmen is, essentially, choosing Bergie over him (which has to be a huge blow to Victor's ego), but Bergie going to confirm with/confront Carmen about what Victor said seemed like a logical thing to do. So, if I'm following, Victor told Bergie what Carmen (allegedly) said about only being interested in a friendship with Bergie, and Bergie is (1) supposed to 100% believe Victor (who is not exactly an uninterested, neutral party in all this), and (2) never breathe a word of this to Carmen because "guy code" (or whatever)...? Oh, and (3) Bergie is supposed to feel 100% indebted to Victor and the rest of the guys for their initial coaching on how to interact with the gals? (For my money, Hannah's been giving Bergie the best advice.) In any event, while I appreciate the dramatic! need for a cliffhanger ending, I'll be floored if the result is anything other than Carmen staying. ETA: Although it would be interesting to see what Bergie would do if Carmen is dumped by the rest of the islanders. I could see him possibly leaving also, since he was willing to do so on Day 1 and therefore seems like he might have come on the show less for the "exposure" than the others.
  6. I was out of the country until this past weekend, so I binge-watched to get caught up. I pulled up the show on Wikipedia because I kept getting "Kay Kay" and Kassy" confused. Boy, this cast seems even younger than in past years: Anna Kurdys 22 Boca Raton, Florida entered Day 1 Carmen Kocourek 22 Milwaukee, Wisconsin entered Day 2 Carsten "Bergie" Bergersen 23 Cottage Grove, Minnesota entered Day 1 Destiny Davis 27 Florissant, Missouri entered Day 1 Hannah Wright 24 Palm Springs, California entered Day 2 Harrison Luna 26 Adelaide, South Australia entered Day 4 Kassy Castillo 22 Zachary, Louisiana entered Day 1 Keenan Anunay 23 Washington, D.C. entered Day 1 Leonardo Dionicio 21 West Hartford, Connecticut entered Day 1 Marco Donatelli 22 Girard, Ohio entered Day 1 Vickala "Kay Kay" Gray 25 Palestine, Texas entered Day 1 Victor Gonzalez 28 Atlanta, Georgia entered Day 1 Jasmine Sklavanitis 24 Mount Morris, Illinois entered Day 1; dumped Day 5 I agree with others re: the red flags with respect to the "body counts" of some of the Islanders. I didn't vote, but that was a tough one. Marco and Hannah and Leonardo and Anna are immune; otherwise I probably would have been leaning towards Leonardo and Anna going, because they're probably the couple I would miss the least if they were gone. I kind of want Bergie and Carmen to stay, just to see what happens if they end up coupling.
  7. I love Steve Zahn, but will see how I feel about him in this role as the cult leader. Loved the car chase -- especially since Gideon couldn't turn his head. The shoe fight was so juvenile, but also hysterical. I still love goofy BJ, so oblivious.
  8. So glad the show is back! It took me a second to recognize Kristen Johnston.
  9. Their lease/landlord might have required that they remove any improvements they made (interior walls, etc.) and return the space to its original condition.
  10. Well, this is sad news. https://people.com/tv/olivia-plath-15-year-old-brother-micah-meggs-dead-cycling-accident/ Olivia Plath is mourning the loss of her 15-year-old brother. The Welcome to Plathville wife's younger brother Micah Meggs was struck by a car while riding an electric bike on Thursday in Franklin County, Virginia, according to local news outlet The Roanoke Times. Plath, 25, who is married to Ethan Plath, has not publicly commented on her brother's death, past posting she'd be taking a social media break following "a family death," the Daily Mail reported. Meggs' obituary speaks of some of the 15-year-old's hobbies and best qualities. "Micah enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting, fishing, camping and trapping, and became a skilled outdoorsman. He enjoyed displaying his trophies and making video tutorials to teach others how to enjoy the life he loved," it read. Further details state that Meggs loved spending time with his nine siblings. "Micah loved to hang out with his siblings and a few close friends, playing practical jokes, sharing his understated sense of humor and bringing laughs to those he loved." The obituary also stated that Meggs was diagnosed with "Cerebral Palsy caused by a Brachial Plexus injury" which "made it difficult for him to do the things he enjoyed so much." "Despite the physical difficulties he experienced, Micah never complained or let himself be limited by his disability and continually found ways to pursue his outdoor activities despite this struggle," the in memoriam post noted. Meggs leaves behind nine siblings, including Olivia, and his parents Don and Karen Meggs, grandmothers Juanita Meggs and Jerry Boyer, and a handful of nieces and nephews.
  11. Does anything think Jack might pull her funding of Keeley's business if/since they've broken up? I could see that happening and Barbara deciding to stay with Keeley rather than moving on to Jack's next start-up project (and her next snow globe).
  12. In the original episode, it was portrayed as Luke raping her, and although the show initially played it as such, the event was later looked back on as a “seduction” due to the popularity of the pairing. (There was an episode where Laura remembers the event and realizes it wasn't "rape.") So, GH kind of rewrote history there -- that's how (theoretically) viewers were able to view it as a love story. Back to Ted Lasso, I find it fascinating that people have such polar opposite views on what happened between Rebecca and the Dutch guy. I'm in the camp of: she had a bit to drink (fell asleep, didn't pass out), and "nothing happened." Except that they shared a genuine connection, which is what I think the Dutch guy was referring to at the end. Due to the scene with the psychic, my guess is that this isn't the last we've seen of the Dutch guy, but I refuse to go looking for spoilers/information on the cast in future episodes. I've been to Amsterdam twice, and I'm going to be back there in July (taking a cruise to Norway that starts and ends in Amsterdam). Watching this episode got me excited to go back and re-visit some of the things shown in this episode (like the Van Gogh museum).
  13. I wondered why Tucker didn't know about dredging her chop in flour before dipping it in eggs and then the coating/bread crumbs/whatever it was. Her reaction to the suggestion seemed like she had never heard of that before. Between that and Stretch's way undercooked pork, I'm kind of questioning the qualifications of some of the "professional" chefs.
  14. I started watching because of Shay, so this episode was disappointing. I guess I'm invested enough to finish out the season but I find most of the people left annoying.
  15. I'm thrilled Grant is gone. I watched his season of Love Island Australia and never liked him on that. Especially when it came out afterwards that he had been lying the whole show. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/12124742/love-island-australia-grant-secret-girlfriend-tayla/ I find it fitting that his last name is Crapp. Sarah and Danny can go any time as well.

Well, he did out Ted's secret (panic attacks), but disclosed his source to Ted. That's what cost him his job.
  17. I was really hoping Uncle "Puddy" was going to show up again for the family visits.
  18. Exactly -- the opposite of love isn't hate; it's indifference.
  19. Why? There's no advantage to delaying a team from getting second place. Whether the next team finishes in 1 minute or 30 minutes doesn't affect the winning team at all. If there was some part of the challenge after putting together the puzzle, then, yeah, it would make sense, but not when the puzzle was the last task.
  20. Also dipping my toe into the shallow end of the pool: I found Kiki's face very distracting. Like, really-obvious-plastic-surgery distracting. If she's had plastic surgery or some procedures on her face, I'd love to see the "Before" picture because I'd wager it might be better than the "After" picture. YMMV. I enjoyed that as well. Off the top of my head, I think they said that Kaycee's main skill was "Social" or "Sociability" or something like that, which surprised me. I would have thought her main skill was "Strength" (which I recall is what they had for Tori). --- For whatever reason (or no reason), I just assumed there'd be a whole bunch of countries involved. Not just four. I was also surprised to see four people from each country, which is something they failed to mention during the airing of The Challenge USA. I thought the group of "Legends" (is that what they were called?) was an interesting mix of "old school" and newer challengers. I'm just happy that there was no Aneesa or Veronica. I may be in the minority, but I could do without Wes. His ego knows no bounds. I don't know why they bothered having four hosts. They could have taken the salaries of the three hosts other than T.J. and added it to the prize winnings. Finally, can someone explain the timing of when this was filmed? I'm trying to figure out if this was filmed before the last regular Challenge season, or between the last regular Challenge season and the filming of its reunion...
  21. I love Debbie Gibson and it was clear from just about the first note she sang that it was her. I think she tried to change up her voice a little on the 2nd song, but I didn't even need the clues before her first song to know it was her right away. I'm pretty sure she screwed up the lyrics during the first song, but that can probably be chalked up to finding out the day before she was going to be on the show and not having much time to prepare. I roll my eyes a bit when it's totally clear who someone is, but the panel make ridiculous guesses. I get it's the way the show works, the way it has to work, I suppose, but it's annoying. Belinda Carlisle -- really? Belinda's voice is very distinctive and, to me, doesn't sound at all like Debbie's. Also, fairly casual viewer here. I don't know if it's ever been explained how the songs get chosen, but I thought "Dancing Queen" was a fantastic choice and "Fernando" was a terrible choice....it put Debbie at a disadvantage before she even sang a note. Of all the ABBA songs, someone (the show? Debbie herself?) picked that one?
  22. I'm watching only because of one of the social media chefs I follow on IG and TT. To be honest, I'm not a huge Gordon Ramsey fan, so I tend to avoid any shows he's on. But, I figured I'd give this a try because of Shay Spence. He graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education, worked with Rachael Ray, and was People Magazine's Food Editor for six years. So, he seems much more qualified than the home cooks. So, one rule that I think I didn't realize in the first episode: apparently they have to use everything they take as part of their dish...?
  23. Perhaps the cornfield was planted after the construction?
