S10.E16: The Allowance Evaporation
LoneHaranguer replied to TheOtherOne's topic in The Big Bang Theory [V]
Her comment came well before Leonard did that, but she could have gotten a clue from Sheldon totally not caring when she paid back the loan he gave her, and even offering her more. -

Is Charmin one of those brands that manages to put more air than paper in a roll, or does it not work very well? -
Not as long as the ad rates hold up.

Google pinpoints it as The Wiggly Finger Catalyst in season 5. -

I was a little disappointed that the mad scientist's lab wasn't called a laBORatory, but I suspect somebody besides McKenzie would have had to do it to get the sinister intonation right. -
Any organization like Rittenhouse will have rival factions, and somebody in her branch had a choice of what evidence to (not) collect. The dismantling may be selective.

S10.E16: The Allowance Evaporation

Penny was probably going by the guys' style of living with no idea how much they were pouring into the collectibles and tech they were buying or that Sheldon had actually saved for the future. Seeing the old clothes in Leonard's closet probably didn't help. -

After a bit of googling, it appears that there are actually very few choices in buying a set of mailboxes for an apartment. If 8 isn't enough, the next size up is the 16 that we see. We know that there are at least 5 floors, and even if there are no apartments on the first floor, the builder would have allocated a box for the building manager/owner, so 16 it was. -
You could also ask if this was the same Connor Mason.

It's not unusual to add an addition to a building that's fewer floors than the original, but you'll also see people combine adjacent buildings, effectively giving you two towers that require you to go to the ground floor to go between them. All of the mailboxes for both sections would be together. -

If they don't bother to dry off properly, that'll cut down on how much drips onto the floor. -

Nothing says that all of the floors are shaped the same, but the easiest explanation is that the set of mailboxes is just a standard unit with more compartments than apartments; very likely, the extras are available for use at an additional charge each month for any roommates who want to keep their mail separate. Having said that, the show hasn't even been consistent about the guys' bathroom and what's behind that frosted glass door you see in the living room. -

Leonard has been friends with Raj since two years before Penny moved into the building. The option was going to come up anyway. -
Except that the first three shows featured competent agents. Doctor Who is a good fit; team members getting kidnapped, people around them winding up dead, no real victory against the "bad guy", distinctive travel machine... The BBC may have a better case than Onza.

Not too bad if you factor in inflation. That sounds like a supermarket price. It goes for $2.49-$2.69 at the bag-it-yourself places like Aldi and Price Rite. -
They've never watched The A-Team or MacGyver? They can't do the "anywhere" part either. There are very few traffic cams around and most don't send data anywhere; they're just there to augment the older road sensors that don't work well with cars made of aluminum and plastic.

Trump may not kid around, but he uses metaphors, analogies, and hyperbole, none of which should be taken literally.

Say What?: Commercials That Made Us Scratch Our Heads

There used to be an ad with an animation showing how a multi-blade razor works. One edge is supposed to pull out on the hair for another to cut. That's likely to work better going with the grain, especially if that's what the designer of the razor expected. -
I presume it's because they couldn't stretch out each episode to fill the two-hour block NBC has been devoting to a reality competition each week. I much prefer this to the shameless padding they've done with shows like America's Got Talent and The Voice.

S10.E15: The Locomotion Reverberation

While he saw the ruse, he still gave in to his compulsions. The guys inadvertently gave him a choice, so he was able to thwart them by completing the face, rather than the math. -

It makes more sense considered as a shortening of "pussycat". -

That was Colonel Williams; when he initially met with the guys he said that he studied engineering at MIT. I thought he just noticed that it was a different approach, and it was Howard and Leonard who tipped him off that would be better. I'm more skeptical that the two couldn't solve Sheldon's equation. Didn't they write an app for solving equations? -
This was a special case. They didn't know how to pitch the season to viewers until they knew what was up with Trump. If things had gone differently, Arnold would have been a spin-off, like Martha Stewart's version, rather than the new host of the series. Which is exactly how any of the pros assigned to supply a service to contestants is supposed to act. If somebody says "can we do..." or "what if...", they can advise on that, otherwise they're supposed to STFU and do what they're told. A team should win or lose on its own merits.
