Christina On The Coast - General Discussion
Zero260 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Christina On The Coast
I just finished watching the episode. Agree with you about the narrow staircase, and can’t believe with all the codes and permits required in California that they got away with a completely open side, and no handrail of any kind. Wow. As far as the number of bedrooms is concerned, they went from four to three on the main level and added a second level primary suite, so they still have a total of four. -
S17.E19: Sex, Lies & Questionable Behavior

I actually had the saddest, most unsettled feeling that was hard to shake after watching this episode. I’ve watched every season of MAFS, and never felt this before. Yeah, I know it’s (non)reality television, but if these people represent the new mindset of singles in their 20’s/30’s, what a sad world we’re now living in. “If you’re not perfect, I’m outta here. And please refrain from anything that might ‘trigger’ me.” As an aside, raise your hand if you were totally grossed out by the blurred out hand jobs. I can’t unsee that no matter how hard I try. -
It’s her delivery and ‘stage presence’ that’s more polished than all of the others. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) she says is carefully and perfectly worded. It’s as if she’s in a play or movie and writing the dialogue as she goes along … and doing a fine job of it, I must admit.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Chloe is playing for the cameras. 100% actress, and this is a vehicle for notoriety (although I think MAFS fans are running for the exits at this point …)

S17.E13: Exploring Intimacy at an Altitude

I’ve watched every season of MAFS, beginning with Doug and Jamie. This is by far the saddest, weirdest, most unsettling and disappointing season of them all. -
The Golden Bachelor - General Discussion

I thought the dress looked better on Theresa at the bridal salon. I don’t know what happened, but the fit was awful at the wedding. The straps were a distraction and gave it a messy look. I agree with everyone about her hair which should have been up. Veil was just ‘meh’ and didn’t work well with the dress. I’m guessing she was the one who had her heart set on a mermaid style because there would have been other styles way more flattering. And her makeup/skin tone was washed out. Or perhaps the lighting didn’t do her any favors. I like her, I think she’s genuinely kind and sweet, so I was really hoping she’d walk down the aisle looking fabulous. I guess as long as she felt beautiful with her choices, that’s all that really matters. -
Imagine being Robyn and knowing that the entire viewing audience (except for Jeff) thinks you’re married to an idiot.

So bummed about the cancellation. Season 1 was pretty bad, but they really turned things around in Season 2. It was finding that sweet spot with the character development and performances. I really believe it could have caught on as a sleeper hit with one more season.

I’ve wondered that too but have a theory … It’s forced exercise. The only sure-fire way to keep everyone in good physical condition.

My thoughts exactly. Case in point, the DJ from Lexington that someone mentioned earlier who was offered money and was told he didn’t have to move to Nashville. That says ‘desperation’ to me. It’s impossible to take any of this seriously anymore. The last couples to exhibit any honesty in trying were Jessica and Austin as well as Vincent and Briana.

Neither is mine. It’s showing an episode from November, episode 12. Hopefully it’s just an Xfinity misprint.

Is anyone else bothered by Jimmy Smits mustache? It’s all I see ……

I really like this show. Love all of the characters. There’s an intelligence in the writing that is missing from so many other series. I’m hoping it catches on.
-
I’m loving the rapport between these two. They genuinely like and respect each other. Christian is having fun with the tongue-in-cheek snark, and Chastity gives it right back to him.
-
Big Erik fan here too. Despite the nerdy vibes and dad bod. We need at least a sectional.
-
I had gypsy vibes about her since the beginning.

S05.E01: Forty: Part One/S05.E02: Forty: Part Two

Birth control pill pack in the medicine cabinet. With a 20th century expiration date I’m assuming. Any chance Laurel’s gasp is her last one? End of story? -
Been mulling over the whole Bennett & Amelia convo. If you’re truly invested in a relationship and it’s obvious it’s going in the right direction, it becomes easier to lay all your cards out on the table, even the not-so-pleasant things, in order to have full disclosure. If this MAFS pairing is on the ‘up and up’, I think there was more to that conversation that was purposely edited out. Amelia was being honest with him ... She went into this on a lark (and perhaps also hoping for some notoriety and cash for loans, but we’ll never be told THAT), and unexpectedly found herself with a great guy and match. That’s the part they cut. But again, I also wouldn’t be surprised to find out that they were already a couple, and the producers are playing us.
-
I love this show and find most of the couples relatable. BUT the producers must think the viewers are idiots, or at least not very observant. Keith and Kristine were clearly back in their own home talking as if they were still in Maine. Come on, guys. We see the familiar front door, the top of their sofa, and the colorless blank wall behind it screaming for something, anything, to hang on it.

This season is a breath of fresh air so far. I know a little drama and conflict is necessary (and forthcoming) to keep everyone guessing, but I was worn out from last season which was sooooo painful to watch other than JAustin.
-
I’m also enjoying CC more than I had expected to. It seems to improve each week as the couples become more comfortable with the format. I’ve been watching MAFS for several years, as well as catching up on all of the earlier seasons, and I think we find them so relatable because they’re ‘real people’, not reality stars like we see on so many other shows. I do have to agree with everyone about the JamieO footage ... I also FF’d through it. WAAAAYYY too much of everything. Poor baby got second billing to her boobs.

Yes ... ME!!! I’ve been crushing on him from the wedding day 🙂 He reminds me of the actor Michael Keaton from about ten years ago. Hot!
-
I completely agree! I love Shawniece and how she obviously adores Jephte. He makes some really sly and humorous comments under his breath. Anthony is a gem ... cracked me up with his bodybuilder T-shirt and the way he exposed it. And most surprising to me is the dynamic between Jamie and Elizabeth. Their body language says they’re comfortable and in-sync with each other. I find her a little annoying sometimes but he doesn’t seem to notice or react to her quirky personality. At least not on CC.

Current-day Kevin purchases the baseball card and inserts it into his wallet. At that very moment, Nash sings the line “I’ll light the fire ...” If I’m correct, Kevin lost his baseball cards in the fire. I must admit, I choked back a tear.

If it was part of a group text, maybe it wasn't even directed at Toby. (I only saw the one text message and the name at the top, though.) Excellent point, AMS1001! I would bet you’re correct. That’s how group texts work. And Kate didn’t have time to scroll up the thread because Toby was hurrying her to take the pic.
