  1. I personally loved Margaret. Sorry she wasn't a longer term winner. (Of course, covering knitting, love of cats, and her 90 year old parents, a third interview could be a challenge.)
  2. I got called out last week for potentially being sexist for stating I would never let my mother change oil. Well, I'm back at it. :( I would never ask my Dad (who can funky chicken like no one's business) handle a dance task. Of course, Blair didn't pull her weight again while Daddy handled stringing (though as a doctor, he might be great with a needle) as she stirred a pot. Once dunking started, Daddy was still participating. He tried really hard with the dancing! Dana's dancing was outstanding and Sheri gets big kudos for her run, too. I rewound and rewatched Dana. I think the concept of a hazelnut coated with candied wine sounds delicious, but the string somehow annoys me. Are the hazelnuts softened enough that you'll be bite them off the string?
  3. Best line of the night. And I adored seeing her in the audience. Also loved Kim Fields modeling the old school skates before her dance. Love Flutie and Tootie, but I'll be surprised if either make the top half. Love Wanya's showmanship and Paige's skill -- think they are my faves. Best dances of the night from my completely uneducated eye: Paige, Wanya, Kim. (And was that a Miller Lite tattoo on Von? Gross!) Sorry, but Baby Zee was too much. Can she be a surprising elimination next week so she can focus on home and family?
  4. Was Sherri the only one who needed to use the tool to remove the filter? Poor thing. (And who lets their mother change oil? Meanwhile, Daddy continues to rock the challenges while his Pwecious Angel stands on the sidelines and fixes her hair and makeup.) Loved the lavash lady -- she was awesome!
  5. Add me to the older folks who are yelling at kids to get off their lawn. How in the world could a fish get into your personal space? how? My next trip to the beach may require a full wetsuit, but I think my old lady skirted tankini is probably safe. I was actually curious how many emeralds were in the mud pit. After the one young man dropped his and the Flight Attendant daughter get pinks twice in a row, I was actually worried for her that the show only stocked 11 emeralds. Still not adoring the teams. Not!Harvard! seems not horrible, if they make it. Dancers could be okay if they get along. Frisbees are probably the best pick of this motley crew. too much drama for this curmudgeonette.
  6. Yuck. I'm not even commenting until Tuesday. Maybe if the alleged celebs had been cut in half and the rest of the teams were made up of Mensa members, Jeopardy stars (even Arthur Chu) and some likeable people. I guess I'll root for the dancers, but that's only if the Roaming Gnome is not eligible to win.
  7. Count me among those who were wondering WHEN this would finally happen....
  8. I took the test on Tuesday night. I think I got a 38. (I definitely knew 38 answers, I'm just not sure that I typed fast enough on 2 of them.) Way better than last year. We'll see if I get a call.
  9. The revisionist history kills me, but the actor who plays John Case is still worth it.....
  10. If I were to go to the theater to watch the new Star Wars movie, I would have to pull out Will's Star Trek uniform. I'm still chuckling about that. Such a brilliant choice by the writers. Mayim Bialik was outstanding. Glad the women carried the relationship portion and the guys didn't know. I'd hate for Howard to be sharing tips with Sheldon. (Ick!!)
  11. Loved the Mann category and knew Horace would make the cut. A colleague of mine deals with a Horace Mann insurance company almost daily and when I started filling in for him, I mentioned, 'like the education reformer'. Everyone looked at my puzzled then. Today, I rattled off the question at work and everyone smiled and yelled back Horace Mann!
  12. Preferred the boy's party look (Alexander?) He's the real star of the season. And instead of OMG, could it be 'Ugh!" -- Has MO ever found a video clip she didn't want to star in? Hated the backpack. As a regular Lands End shopper, I will stick to their awesome coats, boots, dog fashions, sheets, towels, and plain canvas totes.
  13. First rule of the race is it is a race! Don't let two cheerleaders ahead of you. When you suspect you are the last team to arrive somewhere, be hesitant of an alliance, especially if you are a stronger team. Shaking my head at the Texans. I find Justin annoying, however, he and Diana are running the race to the best of their ability. They are thinking strategically. There have been other teams before them that I haven't liked and have won; this pack it might just be inevitable.
  14. Super late to the game, but I hated Mark's choreography for Alexa -- she looked like she was being beaten!!
  15. Who knew Happy was so funny? Seriously, I can't get enough Sylvester. Between CSI: Cyber and Scorpion this week, I'm avoiding public hospitals and transit for the foreseeable future!
  16. oy vey! Candace sent Carmen SanDiego down the runway (bear with me while I sing the Rocapella theme song...put the Miss in Misdemeanor....) Kelly -- I love Kelly and want her or Edmund to win based on story -- she wasn't kidding about Studio 54, is she. I feel like I should start dancing to Staying Alive Edmund -- judges were right; that's a lot of ruffles. And, much like my fashion influence, Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote, I love ruffles. Best of the night, honestly. Ashley put Baby right back in the corner. I'm a fairly fit size 10-12 and there is no way I am wearing a lace overblouse over just my bra. I might wear one of those Carmen Miranda flower hats though.
  17. Is I wrong that I'm lusting after those nuns?
  18. Wow -- I thought it was utterly horrible. Disappointed. In fact, I am disappointed that I missed Scream Queens for it! I'm definitely not the right demographic for ABC Family...
  19. Did anyone notice as the credits were rolling, Lea Remini, who knows how to banter like a cohosting pro, said into the mike, "We should try that life again!" Erin Andrews would never have (a.) tried the lift on tv or (b.) thought to say that. Keep her on football and give us Lea full time!
  20. I almost married someone with a challenging last name, so I agree with Ohmo -- definitely a correct name pronunciation raised a red flag. I caught that, but missed the other doctor being in on it. And don't anyone dare touch McGee's chin; he's perfect just the way he is!
  21. Don't you mean Scorppeon ? :) Loved his attempt to fix it!
  22. Well, at least they reunited mother and son at the end. With the program delays due to football and the mediocrity of the show, I don't know how long I'm going to keep this on my DVR. It's certainly no The Widower on PBS.
  23. Loved the Gibbs Vance dynamic in this episode. I also thought the opposing council was well played.
  24. Meanwhile in the real world, set your boss up on a dating app and you'll have a short meeting with HR and be told that they will ship you your belongings. Don't know if DB is an asset or a liability yet, but I'm (shallowly) not pleased with how little Van der Beek I'm getting.
