  1. As the second episode aired (it really wasn't one super episode, they were distinct), I was annoyed. Josh proposing was ludicrous. He seems like a really nice guy and I hope he finds a wonderful girl. (And not have it be Kelsey or the daughter - ick!) Why does a 26 year old who longs for a family want to marry a woman who isn't willing to have kids. You can't change someone's mind. Diana is a powerful executive and the opportunity to have her shine in front of a bunch our young girls turned into comedic folly was a disappointment. I really hope Kelsey's author boyfriend's book crashes and burns.
  2. It is incredibly clear to me that Michael Weatherly is in his 40s. We aren't supposed to believe that Bull is younger than that, right? I am 44 and started college in the fall of 1990. The recession was just as I was graduating -- 1994. They could have just changed the time frame and said the 80s -- New Hampshire was THE state for education then (not that it is terrible now) and plenty of people were moving there. I loved the ladies shooting club, complete with minosas and a dining room viewing the skeet field. That was hysterical.
  3. I have disliked Spencer from the beginning of the show, yet feel he was robbed last night. His window was far too dark, but Tara was missing the dang shoes and her plaid garbage bags looked terrible. The star of her window was the schnauzer. In fact, I would walk by assuming the store sold pet supplies, not the outfit. The colored string/ yarn was completely uneven and didn't look good at all. She really should have been the one to go. Edward really did have the best window. Sure it's been done before, but the tree and the bedazzled died leaves were perfect. If I had been Timothy, I would have spray painted the cups blue to make the blue triangles in the dress pop more. And which ever judge suggested not painting the moon sculptures, but using them as a light was a genius. That would have been amazing.
  4. Best episode of this season. I'm a sucker for Ducky flashbacks. David McCallom is an outstanding actor and the young man playing him in the days of yore is really good. I loved seeing Fornell and Emily as well. That said, I immediately knew who was selling secrets, but the tie to Balthazar was unexpected. Charles Shaugnessy (Shane from DOOL and Maxwell Sheffield from The Nanny) was a delight in this episode as well.
  5. If I were ever to be on a reality show, I'd come with a couple of plans for what to do (sew, cook, bake, learn to drive a stick shift, etc). If I were to be on PR, I'd have an unconventional plan. Just one, though. I think we could clearly see the designers were pretty much out of ideas. Most of them went to glue. Roberi opting to macramé really set himself apart. (And I loved the tie print dress.) I also think Laurence is the real star here -- sure, she's not winning every challenge, but if you were to have one of these people create a look for you, I think we are all running straight to her.
  6. Who picks up a hair tie from the bathroom floor and just starts using it? I live by myself and am crazy clean, but once a tie has been on the floor for longer than a couple of minutes, I toss it. That said, while if I was Maggie, I would be washing my hair while Josh was picking up that test. Yuck!!! And what Hiccup said -- you never give a person a pet as a gift unless you are 2000% sure they want one.
  7. Good gracious -- someone not only used their signature yellow, but found a print that featured it with bananas. Now, don't get me wrong, I love prints, colors and have some crazy looks (including a sweater with pink flamingos), but I don't know anyone that would wear a top covered in bananas. You'd have to BE bananas!!!!
  8. If one of the other designers had send down that paper doll outfit (basically a large metal coat with tabs for external pockets), I think Nina would have pointed out the sideboob issue. But, since it's their darling Erin (and they know from silhouette and that blinding yellow), it was not discussed. I'd be fine with an overall win by Rik, Roberi, or Laurance, but I think I know how it will end.
  9. Anyone else secretly hoping the book is a flop? That would allow Kelsey to save face. Liza hinted that it's not as good as Kelsey thinks it is to Josh.
  10. Just watched the Hot Topic episode. Timothy's bathroom window was amazing. I don't understand how he wasn't awarded the win in spite of his partner. And from the winning team, I thought Erin worked far harder and did more than Spencer. Tim for the win! This show is such a guilty pleasure -- glad I'm watching.
  11. Late to the party, because I despised the episode. First of all, it focused on the weakest actress in the group. The less Ellie, the better. If they got rid of her and focused on Jennifer Esposito a bit more, we could have a good group of intelligent agents. Instead, we have Ellie, who as a wiser poster mentioned, thought Gitmo would be Club Med. As a member of law enforcement, her job is to work a case, put together the logical case, and let the judicial process occur. If Ellie can't trust the process, she needs to find a job elsewhere. Secondly, the plot was extreme. I'm sure there are more than one innocent boy scout - reverends in prison, but that was overkill. Good gracious. I think it was to allow the introduction of Qasid as her boyfriend as 'shocking'. Third, while the brothers were entertaining comic relief, this isn't Ellie's first boyfriend. She's a divorced woman working in law enforcement thousands of miles from her family. She should periodically have to travel to ports of foreign call and undesirable locales for her job. They can't protect her at this point. They couldn't prevent Jake, so why start now. Finally, Abby is becoming a ridiculous caricature of her old self. Ellie and Gibbs? Heck, no. Gibbs likes redheads. (Why, yes, I do look just like my avatar.) Did Tony leaving really kill the show? I have to wonder.....
  12. Shooting Happy Fun Guy in the derriere was my favorite part of this episode. I don't normally go for low brow humor, but I was literally LOLing.
  13. Walking through the mall last week, I saw a poster for this show. So glad I did. Love seeing Carson Kressley. Impressed with the other male judge (Doug?) -- the show hired a true professional! The talent has been amazing. I preferred Edward's and Timothy's windows to Tara's, but it was obvious that the Lush client adored the roots theme. Hate that they are keeping the crazy, but by now I'm used to that.
  14. I don't care who among the three wins, but the best two dances last night were James's redemption foxtrot and Calvin's freestyle. As someone who lasted through two years of ballet and one of tap in my childhood forty years ago, my expertise surely rivals that of Cariann. And I hated James freestyle almost as much as Jana's.
  15. I watch sitcoms and fast forward through the political ads this time of year as a reprieve and yet, we got a preachy "you have to vote" message. Disappointed. (And don't worry, I have done my research on the issues and candidates and am prepared on everything from President to county commissioners and county sheriff. I just don't appreciate television giving me politics. Same thing with Lynda Carter on Supergirl.)
  16. I adore CBS procedurals. Really I do. But the elevator thing was absolutely not kosher. That was a form of jury tampering. At the very least, the parents had grounds for a mistrial. If Bull was less ego centric, he could have placed one of his fake jurors in the elevator to pull the same stunt -- it would be less obvious and harder to prove. Since he was front and center during it (and obviously cool with the drops) someone should have suspected.
  17. I was absolutely rooting for Jana and Gleb to go home last night. I acknowledge that I tend to be prudish, but I do watch the show with my retirement age parents. That shower, rolling on the black satin bed routine was all gimmick. It absolutely says "I need votes so desperately, I'm wiling to do anything." I was surprised at how low Amber's scores were compared to Maureen and Ryan. I thought this was Amber's night. Historically, you get bumped up on your way out. I was sure it was Marcia/Maureen's last night with her solid 8s. I think the judges were done with Amber and just slid her out the door. James or Laurie for the win.
  18. I don't know what I hated more than yellow jacket with those giant bedazzled patchwork iron-ons or the hoochy 'mauve' dress. The yellow dress felt like something I'd seen on Rhoda or Maude (Nick at Nite reruns). And the dress was more Star Trek with a tribble stuck on the front. Ugh. I did really like the denim suit though. Laurence's leather coat was the star. The losing team still had more appropriate for their girl clothes though. If Lifetime wants to cross promote, why didn't they bring aboard the investors from the other show? And Nina, you have promoted tons of strapless and shiny as work wear (of course it isn't).
  19. I'm out. When I started cheering as the head of the National Guard said no to the observer and the governor 'won' that round, I realized that I am not the programs target market. Kumar kept me about 2 weeks longer than I should have stayed -- he's terrific in his role.
  20. I'm still enjoying the program, but I think it's about time to lose a case and figure out where they went wrong with their mock-jury.
  21. Poor Erin, she is always foot in mouth (or eye roll in head) around engagements.
  22. The next time I go swimming, I'm totally affixing a pocket square to my suit top, a la Tim Gunn. For me, that was the fashion highlight.
  23. I was just talking about Kitty and that fabulous fair streak the other day! I really miss the realistic home and gardening programs. That's why I find I'm on PBS more than HG or Food.
  24. I also got 20 wrong. I can't believe I blanked on Keynes and Prima Donna. And I misread the Bible question, because I knew that.
  25. Disappointed. I thought Burnie and Ashley, calm, cool, and composed, could take it all. I guess, I'm rooting for Sheri at this point, as long as Cole only gets his share a quarter a week through his allowance.
