  1. Yikes, I feel old. Eric, who is probably 10 years younger than me, is a professor at my alma mater. Who let my professors retire? He did play a great game, for second place.
  2. I had lots to look up! And I even double checked the ones I knew I got correct (Montana, Bach, Crucify)
  3. Oy! That was rough. I don't expect a call. Riga is obviously not the capital of Estonia. I was absolutely mortified to get the 2 Civil War questions completely wrong. And the tv/movie questions (which I bet lots of people knew) weren't in my comfort zone!
  4. Me, too. My fear is that I'll do well enough to bomb on the live show (like finish with a negative balance) in front of friends and family, but you only live once.
  5. I'm probably alone here, but the new champion looks like a grown up version of Axle Hecht from The Middle to me. And yet, I find him likeable. Odd. El Al was kind of hard, I thought. Of course, I'm kind of old and remember when Jeopardy was always hard. Those were the days!
  6. McGee's welcome home kiss with Delilah had me swooning. She's a great addition -- balancing bad assery and still being a desireable woman (regardless of any physical disability).
  7. I did as well. It's gotten plenty of news coverage today but I definitely don't see shaved. I didn't think it was the most fun category ever. You get the First Lady, don't you bring your A game clues for her? And small voice, I think Gautum is a hoot. Apparently, I'm the only one (besides his Mom) who enjoyed him.
  8. Patti won me over 1000% last night. Seriously, 50 Cent? You go, Miss Patti!!
  9. Where can I buy Isaac Mizrahi's suit? It'll match my Sen. Ernst Aerosole pumps perfectly!
  10. The secondary characters except Gabe make this show. I love Sylvester and Happy. Toby has grown on me to the point of actual like. Ralph is fine. Sylvester channeling his role as BigWig and going overboard was awesome! And his romance. Great stuff.
  11. Panchos need to be outlawed now. They are way worse that white pants before Memorial Day or baseball caps indoors.
  12. I call a foul on the show for this. I think it's the bride's way of either getting to be on tv in her dress or getting her dress for less. There is no way all 5 of her bridesmaids were model sized or any mother of the bride or groom would sit in the second row BEHIND the show contestants. I'm hoping the bride had a lovely real wedding with friends and loved ones elsewhere.
  13. What a game! And I knew one of the movies was The Godfather, but I was stumped on the Al Pacino/ Marlon Brando conundrum. Drats!!
  14. So glad that Jamie didn't end up as trying to adopt the boy or as his 'big brother'. I actually enjoyed the Erin storyline the most -- she was right to continue to investigate, but dang does she have horrible taste in men. Also enjoyed Tom Selleck being stuck at home. I have to image that the home life of a police officer and a nurse would be challenging. Add in the kids and I'm sure it is a nightmare to schedule family dinners. That said, why is Gramps (or Jamie the Harvard Man) tutoring Jack?
  15. It was fine until they dissed goulash. I make a goulash that people actually request. It's not just a flavor of hamburger helper! I also totally suspected the hostage since the beginning.
  16. Jeremy, the candidate in the middle, looked a lot like Leonard on BBT. I was sure that would cause him to win it all. With his knowledge of knots, I'm shocked that he didn't do better in Double Jeopardy.
  17. Anyone been to the Holocaust museum in DC? They have a room full of shoes. Bawled like a baby there...
  18. Yuck. I wouldn't be caught dead in any of those bathing suits. Dmitry's probably was the best. Then, Justin's and Michelle's. The remaining 5 were terrible. And the praise for Sonjia's.... totally flattened the model's chest. I can see Dmitry and Justin in the top, but the rest of them were horrible. Samantha was ready to go.
  19. Banana Nut Crunch, if no one beat me too it. When Harold got shot, I was furious. Then, I realized that the Degas was important. Never saw Shah getting hit. Wasn't shooting the dang override button an option?
  20. Bruce Campbell stole the show. If only a mojito could restore the sleigh...
  21. I was getting a baseball player vibe from Fabio's. And yes, baseball players are hot. Plus, Fabio's and Jay's models were hot. I think that helped their looks. Dmitry's look was my favorite. Properly fitting and age appropriate. The diagonal stripes were really attractive on the most average person there. Hated Helen's tribute to Monica Lewinsky (true!!) AND Sam's bra revealing crop and pencil skirt. Ugg. Why was Justin's boring, but well made, look in the bottom over Sam's?
  22. I felt exactly the same way. Plus, I loved the flashbacks.
  23. I actually am a transplanted Bostonian; I moved out of state a couple years ago. I missed the news story about Remy's son. How tragic!
  24. So a Caesar's Palace cocktail waitress dress won? Yikes! I was a bit relieved that the guest judge called it out. But it won. I thought Dmitry's jumpsuit was the best look out of what was available. Second was Justin -- an ill-fitting but nice dress. Third - Michelle for the creativity (bit I have to imagine linings would have been allowed.) Bottom three -- Gunnar, bad dress. Sam, the clown college was not interested. Sonjia -- Caesar's Palace cocktail waitress. Any of them could have gone. The taste level of the judges concerns me. Finally, the show told Fabio (whom I respect as a designer, but don't love his aesthetic) to make a denim dress for a masquerade. He made a perfectly nice pink confection that was absolutely flattering to his model and you couldn't even tell it was denim. For that, he was in the bottom two? I'm glad Chris March threw in the towel and is enjoying a vacation sequester. Why bother with the feedback being offered. Okay - postscript -- Zanna offering the feedback gets more ridiculous. She basically told Helen to do the front slit and the look was a MESS!!
