  1. I thought the plot was going to go a slightly different path; I was sure that the reporter had paid the guy to shoot him. That would have made for a more intriguing plot.
  2. All those breads looked darned tasty! And I'm so sorry to lose Howard -- he reminded me of a cross between Mr. Rogers and my 6th grade science teacher. He really was able to think outside the box with those flavor profiles.
  3. Yes, yes, yes! The cardboard still had those plastic ties that hold it in place. And I simply adored watching the dancers from Philly tango -- they had fun! (And then, I heard their story -- those poor young men!!) The team that went home broke my heart. So many people I don't like still in it (cough - "I made you in my belly").
  4. Thank you -- I thought it was a re-run design and, yes, it is not flattering to the hips at all. The model didn't look flattering in it, so there is NO hope for the rest of us.
  5. My only opinion so far was positive -- only one team annoyed me. Lipstick Mom and Son are going to annoy me. I kind of wish they were gone and snarky TMZ had made the cut.
  6. I know the rule is that boring is more upsetting to the judges than bad, but seriously, exposed breasts and bum cheeks beat a mediocre dress? That poor model!!!
  7. Glad Kelly got the win for real outside-the-box thinking with those tubes. Best of an ok runway. Happiest that Jake opted to go home to be with his dog. I remember getting to the decision it was Morty's time to go and there is no way I would have missed his last week. He passed in my arms and, as morbid as that may be to some, it was the only way I wanted him to go. Then, I sat Shiva and gave him an Irish wake (mixed religion household). Dogs are amazing and ask little from us.
  8. I'm confused -- what was the point? Thank goodness I DVRed it. (I rewatched Ms. Braxton (yes, ya'll were right. She was robbed.) and the train defuser (still strong).) I stand by my in danger for next week (Paula, Kim, and my guy - Victor) and my guess for final four: Nick Carter, Hubby, wife, and Bindi.
  9. Sucked in by the ringers (Nick Carter. VenaPena, Spy Kid wife and Bindi). Rest were not too good. Paula deen needed to keep her comment about her underwear to herself. Yikes!! (Really disappointed with Victor Espinoza -- I thought he'd be a sleeper.)
  10. My 36 Cs cried at both the winner and the losers. My winners were four: Kelly (great look and coverup), Ashley (knows how to lift and lock, therefore reducing pain and stretching), Joseph (Mumsy and madam is totally my wheelhouse (I've been called the Talbots posterchild more than once) and Swapnil (if I'm taking it all off straps can be cute). I was so puzzled by Kelly missing the top three and I assumed (mistakenly) that Laurie was in the top (cute bra, acceptable cover-up) instead of Merline. And seriously, Swapnil better win it all. His always the bridesmaid, never the bride status might put him in jeopardy when he tries to please the judges with crud.
  11. I would love to drive one of those pink Caddie SUVs -- Of course, I live in the deep South where SUVs are the second most popular vehicles after pick-ups. I also adore pink and florals, but I'll NEVER be mistaken as a New Yorker. Like, ever! That said, at 40 something, I'm still not in the Mary Kay party age bracket (Tupperware, you bet! Pampered Chef, I'm there! Mary Kay - don't know a soul who sells it.)
  12. I am so obviously a 'lady who does lunch' in my dreams. My winner -- Joseph! Second, Candace. Third Swapnil (who got robbed last week). And on the cusp -- Kelly -- I'm not street hip and my 43 year old tuchus doesn't need to be in stretch pants and hoop earrings, but I think she's got a great eye. The sequined basketball jersey was my big loser, but Blake wasn't far off -- those seems -- yikes! And the dress didn't fit against the body (could a tall individual next to her look down her back and see her bloomers?) Back to the seems -- yuck.
  13. So relieved that the Baby Mama is keeping the baby. When I heard problems with Mom and suite at the house, I thought Baby Mama was going to have a stillborn (or quick SIDS) and then Evan and Paige were going to adopt her.
  14. Only two things really stuck out to me in this episode. I'm continuing to be on team Litt. He really wants Donna as a secretary and bought her a rose. Love him. And if I stepped into the use the law firm restrooms, I'd be appalled at how poorly those toilets are scrubbed. It's apparently no where near as high end as my office. Yuck.
  15. Where was Jeremiah? He's been my favorite since he arrived on set. And what everyone else said about Divya carrying the baby across the street and the cell phone call.
  16. Two random thoughts : 1:) I'm glad I'm not the only one who was puzzled by what seemed like domestic violence celebrated in the Hough sibling dance. (That said, those two little kids were amazing. Wish I'd seen something happier from them.) 2.) I'm thrilled with Rumor's win and thought she was the best dancer of the season, but I thought Riker was a strong performer. Perhaps, if he had had a more ballroom partner (say Karina or Cheryl) and had worn costumes that were more flattering to his gangly Dick Van Dyke limbs (say normal pants instead of those skinny jeans that made him look kind of manorexic), could he have won?
  17. Well, I guess I'm rooting for Rumor. I can't stand Allison (not Riker's problem, I know) but the re-hash of that silly pirate routine did not wow me. I preferred Val and Rumor's more sophisticated free style as well. Much like TAR this season, though, I really just don't care.
  18. Well, that was a waste of 30 minutes. Boring categories and not particularly likeable contestants. (I like Wendi, but she didn't have a shot.) After Aaron Rodgers (hot, likeable and did well) couldn't we pull out one of the Boyle brothers from the NHL or Craig Brelow (Red Sox pitcher with a degree in biochem from Yale) or, well, someone entertaining, somewhat smart, and likeable?
  19. Yep -- me too. I didn't think Rumor was in Jeopardy and I thought Derek's fanbase would continue to rabidly vote for their injured star, so I thought Riker was out. Which was okay with me. I think he's a bit too spastic and I don't like his partner at all. New week, I'm thinking Rumor (and her super-hot Dad better be there (and maybe Demi can get less hipster bi-focals?))but who knows.
  20. Gosh do I miss the days of smart celebrities. Jerry Orbach was truly worth watching. Color me surprised by tonight. I thought the shallow Cleaning Lady was just going to admire the pretty QB in the man cardigan, but he kind of surprised me. (Not that the categories were that hard.) And I concur with everyone else about Harley Davidson. (I give the Shark credit for his Wright Brothers answer though -- that was probably the best of the wrong answers. Ernst and Young?)
  21. See, as soon as I saw that, he was dead to me. I didn't care if Andrew or Mary won. Anyone but Louis. (And for the record, Louis is one of the few names that I love so much, I'd name a human child either Louis or Louise.) He wasn't darling enough (IMHO) to pull off both a quirky love of Jane (I hate her Vietnam stance but can get down with Jazzercise.) and trying to be a Wayans brother.
  22. Yes!! Artem is drool-worthy and Sasha can really dance. To offset, lets give Derek Olivia de Havilland, Mark can have Dolly Parton and Val will work with Shirley Jones or Lauren Tewes. It's only fair...
  23. Well, I'm disappointed. I knew Robert the Shark wasn't going to win it, but he was just soooo likeable. I know Riker is a better dancer. As is Nastia. But, dagnabit, I want to watch (and rewatch) Kym and Robert each week. So adorbs. And I totally know I'm in the minority, but I'm just not a Hough fan girl. I may have to start voting for Bruce Willis's daughter. She's not bad.
  24. I know I'm late to the party, but the cheese-tastic NFLers Paso to the MNF theme song was amazing. Sure, only Michael Irving, Emmett Smith and Donald Driver can dance (sorry, Kurt Warner!) but the whole thing just made me smile.
  25. When did I start rooting for the hairdressers? I was completely relieved that it was a NEL. (I also like the male truck stop owner, but the roller-derby girlfriend is a complete let down since the roller derby moms from a couple seasons ago.)
