  1. I love Jasper White! The Summer Shack used to be one of my favorite expensive casual restaurants. I trust his food opinion, unlike next week's preview -- Gronk and sausage. Oh good gravy! I think Jerry Remy might have made a bit more sense. Gronk could have helped Padma shop at Whole Foods while riding in a motorized cart: http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/2014/04/04/rob-gronkowski-apparently-loves-food-shopping/c29kMvJEAcHRFT6M25SMrL/story.html
  2. Oy vey! What do I know. My favorites were Jay and Benjamin. I loved the mustard with deep gray -- my biggest concern was the back, since frequent sitting in that wool can cause an unseemed bum to bag a bit. Benjamin's was adorable. The pockets did say Junior, but Fergie could let Eugenia or Beatrice wear it. My picks for the bottom: Gunnar -- the white plaid would get filthy and the sleeves -- you can't wear anything heavy under that! Second worst - Dmitry -- the tulle over the seems was randomly darker and was not aesthetically appealing to me.
  3. I was particularly offended! And A Hard Knock Life is one of my personal theme songs! (See avatar.)
  4. I adored that routine -- it's something I'll want to watch again. It's entertaining. The solid lighting and the costuming allowed you to focus on Alfonso and Witney. Mark's video game concept was adorable -- fun gimmick. The other two dances of the night were so dull compared to the substance of Alfonso's and the gimmick of Mark's. Val and Janel's contemporary was a bit boring and predictable -- oodles of lifts and showmance. Derek's mass of people in black leather -- one of those girl's in the fog and flashing lights was Bethanny, you say -- well, hiding your partner could be considered showcasing their strengths. It's right up there with a tap solo, or not. I was sure Janel was on her way out the door. Glad the weakest performer of the night got sent home instead.
  5. I totally want to vacation in Malta after that episode. Hope the wrestlers leave next -- everyone else seems to be working hard to stay and enjoying their time on the race. If Robbie had a different partner, the same could be said of them.
  6. Thrilled! While I had no clue about FJ and was kind of horrified by the Channing Tatum category, I'm thrilled that our winner was the least controversial option!!
  7. Loved Sam and his daughter's telephone exchange. Adorable.
  8. Relieved that Tommy went home. He did amazingly well for a 76 year old, but it was time. Did anyone else think Quayle looked hotter than ever? Just me apparently. Looking good for 67! Almost as good as my other childhood crush, Rick Schroeder. Seriously, I need to become pals with Alfonso.
  9. Logging into say the same thing. In no way is your former residence a safe place from baddies.
  10. So relieved to see that others can't understand Alyssa Milano's wardrobe choices either. I'd rather she pull on a 1980s maternity smock. It would be less bizarre! I was rooting for Chris, but he wasn't bringing the quality that I've come to expect from him. His look was interesting. It said evil in a subtle way and it was wearable. I'm fine with Sonjia's win, but would have sent Helen home. It looked like her dress ripped and she grabbed a fuzzy pink bath mat to hit the tear while answering the door quickly or something. I'm sure it was a ton of work , but the effect was not wearable.
  11. Major pet peeve for me: It's the Battles of Lexington and Concord, not single battle. Go to either Lexington or Concord and ask about the battle, they will only tell you about the one fought in their town. It was too separate battles with two different groups of patriots. Lexington folks will also gladly tell you their town was the first to fight. Now, onto the good stuff: Aaron is gone. Other comments - Stacy was lucky. Mei and Gregory are both really good chefs and it would be a pleasure to eat their food.
  12. I love it and gosh was I crying! Beautiful Veteran's Day episode!! (And I agree with everyone's applauding of Gibbs telling Bishop to get off the floor.)
  13. Week after week, I tune in for and remember Alfonso's dances. Everyone else is filler. I think if Lea had a more popular pro (Tony, Val, Mark or Derek) she'd still be dancing. Artem was great (and honestly, what a looker!) but too many viewers vote for the pro instead of the star (or in Bethany's case, alleged star).
  14. Well, I enjoy it. I do love the idea of Dylan McDermott ending up behind bars -- he's creepy. This week's episode grossed me out -- who kills their own dog? That woman was a nutcase.
  15. Logged into see when they were out. Can't wait. (And I was, in theory, on board team MotherDaughterFlightAttendants.) So disappointed with their behavior.
  16. This season is much better than last season. Loved that it wasn't making fun of Tony and McGee. I didn't see the little girl killer until the Dad was arrested and completely missed Balki!
  17. Stacy works for the Regal Beagle -- I didn't realize Three's Company was set in Brookline, Mass; I was so sure it was Santa Monica. And unsurprisingly the team that doesn't work together well doesn't win. Shocked; shocked I tell you.
  18. Enjoying over all, but if Dylan McDermott starts stalking the blonde co-worker after a one night stand, I'm out.
  19. Wait, the judge isn't going to be of the canine variety? I guess I've been watching too much TAR with Shetland Sheepdogs and Great Danes in the past two weeks.
  20. That was terrible, aside from Alfonso. Antonio was spectacularly bad -- Allison didn't do anything to showcase his skills (if he has any) and focused on Bollywooding her socks off because she apparently loves to Bollywood. (I know its not a verb - my apologies.) Most of the lifts were a mess: Johnathan looked like he was about to drop Peta at least twice. Artem had his hands in areas I really didn't want to see. As for the ladies: Sadie and Bethanny were not that memorable and they were the best of the bunch. Lea was frantic. Seriously, Alfonso was completely underscored and many others gifted.
  21. I miss Len more and more each week. I'm not learning anything about dance standards. This weeks guest judge (a woman who wasn't DJ Jazzy Jeff, but had a similar name) didn't know anything about dance in general -- heck, I'm available and would be more informed.
  22. Loved this episode. The young, blonde, British actor playing young Ducky did an outstanding job. I also enjoyed the mysterious deaths of the Naval officers to promote the corrupt ones. Interesting plot! The only thing I thought was odd was when they were talking about going to the war, I kept mentally making Ducky older and sending him to WWII.
  23. She was from Somerville, Massachusetts. I remember because I lived there right after college. Hope kitty is okay!
  24. Normally, bringing in a star gets you that prime last place slot. I think it's pretty interesting that Alfonso and Whitney got the last slot (much deserved IMHO for the modernized Carlton) while Derek brought in Colby Carrington (the pretty pianist/ singer and I don't think that's her real name, but it was something that made me think of Dynasty and Emma Samms) for his completely lacking in content rumba. I did enjoy Derek's use of SmartBoard technology for his commentary on bullying, but I'm not sold on that being Bethany's issue. It could be; I really don't know her. The choice of bullying as a topic tied in really nicely to Derek's choice of Taylor Swift's new Pop song, "Shake It Off" in the first week of the competition. I could also see a certain blonde haired boy who grew up to be a professional dancer being bullied in his youth a bit more easily than a successful, young entrepreuner who got her start with internet videos and make-up -- that takes a lot of guts in my book. (More power to both of them though!)
  25. I have been excited all season by the concept of The Carlton being performed. Goodness, I was not disappointed. I even voted for Alfonso! I thought Lea's performance was lovely as well. Sadie's duck hunting samba was a lot of fun. I'm ready to be rid of Allison. This makes me feel so badly for Johnathan, but she's just not doing him any favors. Throwing a ton of back up dancers up there with him hides what he can do, should he be taught something. Finally, who was on stage with Antonio and Cheryl? One of the ladies was built more like a 'normal' person than a troupe member, so I wondered if it was family. I mean the costume and 'sexy' rumba was for Mom, so why not dirty dance with Sis on stage too?
