The Annual Golden Globes - General Discussion
Quof replied to sdpfeiffy's topic in The Golden Globe Awards
If Amy Poehler isn't four months pregnant, she should fire whoever selected that dress. Frumpy and dumpy. Perhaps it's a ruse and she will change into something sexy before the show. -
And those goes back to my longstanding beef "Why in the hell are they discussing cases that are still under investigation in front of children, or frankly, anyone not involved in the investigation?

I picked up a couple of pounds of stewing beef yesterday. I don't know why, it just looked good. Now I need to do something with it. Any suggestions? Preferably something that I can freeze for weeknight meals. And no mushrooms. Mushrooms are evil.

S08.E12: The Space Probe Disintegration

I didn't get the distinction they were making "live with Penny two nights a week." Did they mean "sleep at Penny's two nights a week?" Because surely they are doing that now, since the Roommate Agreement provided that amorous activities were to take place at Penny's apartment (the broken bed, homunculus discussion). -
I just rewatched "The Life We Choose", when Danny's friend is killed in an undercover operation, and Henry and Nicky compete in a talent competition. What the hell was with that cutesy baby singing voice that Sami was using???

Heating up some lasagna, made with homemade tomato sauce, ricotta, fresh spinach and turkey sausage. It's pretty awesome.

The settlement was achieved when the boy was a minor, meaning it should have been approved by a judge. The boy's lawyer would have been retained by a parent, but would have been acting in the boy's best interests, and should have recommended to the parent that the funds be invested until he turned 18, and provision made for a structured settlement as described above. No income tax consequences, and the teenager isn't handed a big fact cheque he can't handle. I have never seen a judge approve a settlement that would simply have funds turned over at the age of majority, it's not in the child's best interests, unless it is a relatively small amount. Structured settlement companies are highly regulated in Canada, where I have been practising law for over 20 years. Not sure what jurisdiction QuelleC is in to take issue with their business ethics.

He received a settlement of $150,000 for a car accident that resulted in a broken hip. And foolishly, it was turned over to him in a lump sum when he turned 18.

My issue isn't even that they were in a damp room. It's that they were a hundred feet from where they were needed; even a person who lives alone doesn't want to traipse across their entire home to get a condom in the heat of the moment, let alone someone with a roommate. Not to mention sharing the box with your roommate. And then there's having sex on the opposite side of the wall from where your brother is having sex.

For the same reason most of them do - attention. Look at Me!!!!! -
Papai is Portugese for father, it's what Matthew McConaughey's kids call him. When I've heard Matthew say it in interviews, I thought he was saying Popeye. So perhaps there is some ethnic connection.

Unsalted pistachios in the shell. Takes you forever to open them, and you can't eat them by the handful, which is the problem with almonds.

Gary, I thought we were separated twins until you said Whitney. Who, or what, is Whitney?

I chuckle at the suggestion to use low sodium mushroom soup. Then top with onion soup mix. We humans can rationalize anything, can't we?

Erin has already been shown to be a skilled marksman, er, markswoman.

You tell us : )

Mushrooms DO taste like dirt. And have the texture of an eraser. But roast lamb is divine, and will be part of my last meal when I am on death row. Cuz I'm not going to get through this life without killing somebody :)

My boss, who is an unabashed snob about many things, loves Honey Boo Boo. She hasn't mentioned it in a while!

Wasn`t No Name Detective Lady one of the revolving door detectives that was ``auditioned`` as a replacement for Danny`s partner Jackie; she looked familiar, and I do not remember her having a name then either.
