  1. She fought hard for that landing. If her right ankle wouldn't have rolled at the last second I think she might have saved it.
  2. K tape, yes she does. And her leg. I'm heartbroken that she fell.
  3. That is one "theme" that I've noticed in my years watching Intervention. Once two heroin addicts start shooting up together, they believe that is the most wonderful thing in the world and must be true love. While we the viewers see how bad the relationship really is for them. So sad. I'm sorry for your situation and hope you get the chance to be in your grandchild's life some day. Maybe when the child is older he/she will reach out to you and you can be a good influence and support system.
  4. Thanks. But one of the people in the first article was on Kitchen Nightmares. And Paulie Giganti wasn't a suicide; his death was from an accidental OD.
  5. I really like Tracey, Allen, and Tony. The other two are horrible people. They deserve each other and, unfortunately, their baby deserves so much more than he got in life. Stupid fucks.
  6. Well, hopefully they don't write any future episodes. It totally felt like a different show with different characters. Shaun couldn't even speak as well as he normally does! Maybe some of it was direction to. And Lea's line "Are you a good doctor Shaun?" was so stupid and a really poor way of bringing in the title to me. I thought she was going to follow it up with "Yass! you're a GOOD doctor! Good doctor!"
  7. This is the first episode I really didn't like. I thought Freddie played Shaun over the top. He seemed to have assimilated Lea's worst personality traits. He comes back and shoves his way into a conversation/case that he has not had any part of? He is flippant and disrespectful IMO? He still doesn't have any sort of conversation really with anyone about why he's going or what the problems have been. No real resolution to anything. No growth. I liked Melendez and Claire, but it was all too brief. Hated the reasons/way Jessica broke up with Melendez. She was so selfish and said something like 'I can't take it when you break my heart' so she decides to proactively break his heart? I know it does happen, but it's so stupid and especially in this case when so far they've had no indication Melendez is going to be resentful. In fact he seemed to be embracing it. I totally agree with Luna1122's statement below. Especially with his age, career, etc. And I really don't want this show to be about drama for drama's sake. They've done a good job of avoiding that so far. I hated that Shaun was such a special snowflake to the visiting doctor (who knew him all of 15 minutes) and already decided that not only was he the most fabulous doctor in all of doctordumb, but that the extremely successful surgeons and staff surrounding him are all jealous of him. And we seemed to be back to Shaun immediately having the right answer for absolutely everything so that visiting doctor could further gush over him and inflate his ego and once again damage his perceptions of others much like Lea did with how Shawn perceives Dr. Glassman. And speaking of that...Lea tells Shaun in this ep that Glassman is just trying to help and of course Shaun magically believes it. And she tells him maybe he would benefit from therapy and of course he magically believes it. I actually liked Lea up until the last two episodes. I kind of liked the twins and their storyline, but it did seem like they were jerking us around for drama's sake. And I saw every twist coming a mile away. So fail on that too. The only things I did really appreciate was Claire and Melendez being their for Shawn in a healthy way. But now of course I'm worried that Shaun is going to think Claire is attached to him in a romantic way because they really didn't sell me with the Shaun and Lea romance but he fell for that. I liked the Jared storyline and Dr. Andrews speech at the end. That all felt really real to me. And even though she said it was about donations, it still quite possibly could be about race and/or both. And add into the two (three?) cases mentioned, you have the white creepy doctor hitting on the black subordinate and nothing is done. But I agree with Dr. Andrews and also agree with posters that Jared doesn't seem to have learned anything from this whole thing. And the preview has me worried that they just might be fucking up this show that I love.
  8. I appreciate the poster upthread who said that Shaun didn't call in because of his problem with lying. I didn't get that but it makes perfect sense now. It does make me think a less of Lea that she would tell him to do that when she's always said she appreciates Shaun's direct honesty. And of course, letting him drive on a highway supposedly to Yosemite. That road is not for newbie drivers of any sort. However, all that said, I am this show's bitch, because I just love it. I cried at least twice during this episode. Freddie Highmore is amazing.
  9. I totally agree, but to be fair, Paella doesn't have any noodles. Elise said Paella-inspired but Ramsey didn't even let her finish her sentence to explain how she was going to utilize noodles. lol
  10. I told my daughter today that I'm going to reserve judgement on both Haggis and the accusers until I can find out if they have any connections to scientology. Pretty horrifying accusations.
  11. I'm bored and already suffering Good Doctor withdrawal so I watched the older episode again. I agree that she seems less enamored with the idea that having your own biological child is in any way better than adoption. Melendez: "You want children right? I mean, we've talked about this before." Jessica: "Yes, I want children." Melendez: "But our children. From you getting pregnant." Jessica: "Yes." Then she pauses and says "But what if that didn't happen. Or if I couldn't get pregnant. Or if I decided I didn't want to...that I want to adopt instead." Melendez: "Is there something you're not telling me?" Jessica "Actually there is. When we're in meetings together, don't ever call my ideas ridiculous." Melendez: "Come on, I'm being serious!" Jessica: "So am I." And Melendez apologizes. So I don't think she has a problem being assertive. She's a lawyer after all. I do agree with the poster up thread who said her dad probably cemented this feeling in her at dinner, but would add that maybe Neil's attitude didn't help. I don't really think he said anything backhanded or wrong, but I do think that watching her father and her future husband argue and then hear her future husband defending her future as a working mother may have caused the realization that she really didn't want to have kids. Of any sort. But yeah, although I really love Melendez now, I could do without Jessica. The actress just isn't that compelling.
  12. This episode pissed me off and I actually couldn't even finish it. It should have been mutual liability at most. Acker especially when she said "your dog is huge and her dog is small" or something like that. Bullshit. Defendant was doing everything she could do to be a responsible dog owner. Even if the other lady did have her dog on a lease, she let it run up under a DOBERMAN who was walking on leash with the family it probably is very protective over! If that Doberman was serious, the other dog would not be alive. The Doberman was probably startled like the defendant said and released the dog without attacking the owner or mauling the dog. I feel the plaintiff was liable because she didn't control her dog AT ALL.
  13. I think they must have discussed it because they did so briefly in the episode where the wife wanted to have the fetal surgery. IIRC she said something about having kids vs adoption and he asked said "don't you want to have my kids" or something and she said of course. I don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure they have discussed it and she definitely led him to believe she wanted children.
  14. I haven't read all the replies yet, so forgive me if someone already said this. I saw Clair bully Shawn several times on the runway when Shawn was about to possibly have a moment and accept responsibility/criticism. I'm sure before they came on they went over everything that might possibly come up (probably with a hired media person/publicist) and Clair made Shawn agree that it no way would they accept any notion that either of them were not the absolute best and most innocent Project Runway contestants ever! Therefore they backtracked on anything that suggested otherwise and doubled-down on all the other shit they spouted during the season.
  15. The bridesmaid dresses they were wearing had metal-looking filigree throughout the bodice, which I assumed melted into her skin in some fashion. That's why it perfectly ended at the neck. I agree about your other points, but I have heard that burn debridement is very painful.
  16. Disclaimer: I'm old and you probably don't know who I'm talking about. Devon reminds me of a blue-eyed, meatier version of Johnny Gage from the old (ancient?) show Emergency.
  17. Yes, it's a bummer. Although it did make almost twice it's budget so at least it didn't completely flop. I agree about the agent. They were definitely making it seemed like a possible romance was brewing and I really felt for her when she said she wanted to see her family. I knew Mitch couldn't do it, but was a bit shocked when she grabbed the gun. Glad she went out on her own terms.
  18. I'm sure she and Robyn came to an agreement that Meri would help promote MSWC if Robyn wore some LLR in the photo.
  19. I don't think it was a joke, but it also wasn't a complaint or even that weird of a statement to me. She was just explaining why she doesn't like to be outdoors and in THAT outdoors in particular. It was just an observation IMO. Basically she's my daughter everywhere I take her that is outdoors. Yet she tries to do some outdoorsy things even though it's out of her comfort zone, just like Simone. Which is kind of admirable.
  20. I really liked this movie and thought all the actors were very good. I love a good spy movie and, while it isn't quite up to Bourne standards, I saw it twice. The scenes at the beginning especially were very hard to take and I was on the edge of my seat for the end.
  21. Can you please point me towards a place that I can see this? Thank you!
  22. I was just Googling to see why the series might have disappeared. I didn't realize that the murder that occurred of a mother and son in the Kingston clan last November (I think) was of a woman who was the aunt of Kollene from the show. And I saw another article from last year that A&E was being sued by a woman whose daughter was rescued in 2014. She sued stating that the girl didn't really want to leave the home, but that A&E lured her by promising her $5,000 per episode if she moved out of the house and in with some friends. As she put it, what young girl wouldn't want an easy $5,000? It could be that with these two things happening to the people and network involved with the show, maybe they stopped filming suddenly either because Kollene wasn't able (although she's not on that much really) but more probably because the network settled and/or pulled the plug because of the risk/cost associated with the lawsuit.
  23. Re: Marty Rathbun, when I read his book recently it was clear that he still believes that Scientology is "real" and worked for him. He never refutes that he was able to achieve things with his mind, etc. that he couldn't do before the cult. There is also a serious history of mental health issues in his family. It's not at all surprising that he is back in and unhinged. Sad.
  24. I agree with most of this, but I though McConaughey was the weakest link in the film. Especially when he had to use his hands for magic. I laughed and he reminded me of tiny-hands Trump. I really enjoyed the movie as a whole though.
