  1. Did I read somewhere that Trevor's wife is Jenny? Can only comment on Jessica's clothes. The rest bored me. I am tired of Mike's drama, Hardman and Harvey emoting. I also did not like Eric Robert's character the first time he was on there. Why can't they get new "big bads" and stop returning to the old ones?
  2. Well, I guess i don't know great TV when I see it. I was excited at first, now I am just tired of the Rachel "Girl on the Train" narration by Elliott..."what did I do?" "Who am I?" I can't remember, etc. Tyrell is so not interesting to me. I think the show would be better if his father was real. Did they say why he was going to the doctor and has he replaced her with someone else?
  3. Color me shocked! Once they changed his POV to BARBEQUE I just knew it was over...that and the "look at how far Dom has come."
  4. Sorry, I'm tired of shows that depict the hero character with a drug or drinking problem that they just kick in a relatively short time without professional intervention That Mike actually shot whatever his name is while he was HIGH was glossed over..as if it did not matter. I honestly question the competency of any of them, as it seems as if all of their plans go awry. I hope the ending is a good one, and I hope it is the series ending. This show started out with a good premise, and I don't know how they screwed it up. For one thing, with both Charlie and Briggs admitting to using drugs, Dale struggling with alcohol, we really didn't need to show another undercover agent that could not handle the "life" without it affecting them. There are other things they could have shown to portray how it gets to you....like how they focused on Mike's ambition early on. So are we to assume that Dale now knows that Charlie did not abort the baby? I stopped watching the Briggs stuff long ago. Did Mike see something in someone's shoes? What was the significance of his looking at the picture?
  5. Lord, I could not figure out what was going on with Joss,,and since I fast forward through most of her, it wasn't until the posts that I realized that she was dreaming! I really though the doctor had rushed to her aid and bailed her out and she married him out of gratitude after telling him she made a mistake. I agree with the poster, this character has been the one I like to watch the least since the start of the show. I don't see great looks ( to justify everyone falling over her) or great acting. So am I to assume from the posts this was some episode to show how she and Harry belong together? Really, Dom and Harry are friends? I am sure Jason George is thrilled he is on Scandal or Grey's or whatever and doesn't have to come back to this. The Daniel character was always boring to me as well, and I don't know why they need to revisit it except to show that April can't be that interested in Blair, and also show her "growth" that she can realize this won't work since trust has been broken. ITA with whomever wrote about why Marc is not a good fit for April, and I asked where the child was the week he fell off the wagon. Why can't he live in his camper while the kid is gone? I don't know what happened to Karen...and I don't care....but she is in LOVE with the couple after a few weeks??!!
  6. My mom had leukemia and my sister had cancer. Depending on where they are, sometimes the immune system is very low, or practically non existent. I would think she was referring to the possibility of getting germs from her. At one point my mom was even on a special diet where she could not eat anything that was raw, or have flowers, live plants, etc. around her.
  7. I thought that was his motivation for going to the other job ( was so disinterested I don't even remember what he was doing), because he realized that he would never be promoted. I maintain that was his main reason because if I remember correctly he made that decision after some conversation with Jessica about how basically his light could never shine too bright because it would bring too much attention to him. Again, now that I think about it I think he was more influenced by that than the fact that he was causing the other people in his life to be in peril. I had to fast forward through a lot of it and the recaps gave me the gist of what happened. This show started off as cute, but they dropped the ball on resolving MIke's situation. That should have been handled and over when Trevor told Jessica. I maintain, however, that Harvey also did not care or stop to think about how his actions would affect others...Jessica and the other people at the firm....but they all act as if they are morally superior and can judge others.
  8. Did they say/show what happened between him and his therapist?
  9. I didn't get a chance to watch (and don't know when I will get the chance) and saw the end where some girl was telling Mike not to marry Rachel. What happened? Can someone give a quick summary? Thanks!
  10. Can someone tell me what happens to George in the books?
  11. Don't forget April, who grew up with an alcoholic, could not tell Mark was hung over, even when she knows he is an alcoholic. I fast forwarded, but from what I've read the headmaster was a bust in bed? Of course, so that they can justify April having sex with the undercover FBI agent who used her and lied to her, after getting close to her CHILD as part of his job....per the previews. I can't believe people want April with Marc, the alcoholic that lives in a camper or something. So, it is supposed to be o.k. ( and convenient!) that he goes off the wagon while the little boy that supposedly needs him is out of town? Why wouldn't he have just asked Harry for the back of the house or a different job in the first place...even if bartending pays more money surely it was not worth the risk? ITA agree with whomever posted about the lack of interest in Harry. I never knew why he was on the show. At least the original had the sense to ship the chef off after the first season... So in addition to being a great realtor, decorator, party planner, whatever, now Joss is a detective? Calista is a bust, and she should have been the murder victim instead of her husband. Of course it is her assistant part time lover that is the killer. I can't even comment on Karen's possible pregnancy when she was supposedly so worried about having HIV from meeting men in hotel rooms/bars. Karen, the supposedly "brilliant" shrink. I would have like the storyline better if she started sleeping with the priest. Alan, Alex, whatever is also a doctor and he never worried about using protection? They didn't know Karen, surely they would not just trust she was on the pill, and surely they would be more careful with someone who was willing to sleep with a couple? Do we really sit around and rate our lovers with our friends as soon as it happens? Thanks to whomever gave the detailed recap. I can see I missed nothing by using the FF button!
  12. I fast forwarded through some things and cannot deal when they are speaking Swedish, Dutch, whatever. I agree, wouldn't there be a lot of forensic evidence on her clothes and on his? If he strangled her would his prints be on her neck? He would at least be a suspect after the husband told them that he'd followed her into the bathroom before... I went through all the Evil Corp stuff so I can't clear anything up there. I am really bored by whatever Mr. Robot/Christian Slater's group wants to do and by what Angela wants to do. I am only interested in the show when Eliott is in therapy.
  13. Is the show renewed for another season? I would not be unhappy with it ending with everyone getting their comeuppance. I would like for Jessica to be spared, but hey, she went along with it too. I can't help, however, but have sympathy for her, especially after this episode when she talks to Mike about some of her accomplishments. She is afraid of losing everything she worked for just because of pride. Honestly, she knows hat if it comes out that Harvey hired Mike and his secret without her knowing, she still would be blamed because everyone would point to the way that she molded, crafted, mentored, and trusted Harvey. I remember some episode where a partner or someone called her a kitchen maid or something like that....Jessica has had to prove herself as a woman, a black woman, in a male dominated world. She has made great sacrifices, and to have to give that up because she trusted Harvey to behave like an adult and he didn't would sting. Not only that, although we only see a small portion of it, that would affect tons of jobs for other people, not just them individually. That is a lot of weight to carry. They are supposed to be there for each other, but he has never had as much to lose as she does, and would a real friend put you in that position? I should not be surprised by Harvey's behavior because the whole Mike thing is because of his immaturity. He thought it was funny, a lark, a game and did not think of the ramifications to Jessica, to Mike, himself, or the other members of the firm. He has been selfish from the first instance, so it has always been hard for me to buy him as so smart and so slick. That's not to say that I don't sometimes enjoy the character, but in relation to the proportion of what would happen if MIke is discovered, you cannot tell me he has done that much for Jessica for her to keep protecting him. The actor's anguished face when he is having an attack on on the verge of an attack or anger just reads constipated to me. He could have neutralized Louis without throwing him into a glass table, and didn't Louis have a heart attack before? To show Louis behaving like that was just wrong. He was like a little dog nipping at the big dog's leg. It didn't even make any sense after his sister had told him how Harvey praised him and supported him. I was over Donna in season 2. They should have made her boyfriend from England a real boyfriend and not a plot point. Harvey and Donna may work as a work relationship, but not a romantic one. ITA agree with whomever posted that she is the secretary, not the wife. Act like it and draw boundaries. I also find the sexual innuendo between Donna and Louis appalling, and what would be the reason for her to be in Harvey's love life right now? He is sleeping with Louis' sister, not Louis...and as it is none of Louis' business, it certainly is not hers. The sister can go at any time...not at all interested and I don't care how awesome she as on some other show. I also agree with whomever stated Mike acts entitled. He may be a great guy, etc., but along the way the writers took away his humility. Yes, it was clear he lacked confidence (which is why Trevor was able to control him), but there is a big jump from building confidence to becoming arrogant and entitled . He may be a better lawyer than Harold, etc. at the firm, but they put in the time to get the degree. It reminds me of a Mad Man episode when Don was on the way back and someone said, "just do the work, " and then it shows him at his typewriter going back to writing copy or whatever menial job they had assigned him. The way he talked to the Jack (?) guy just made me ill, and did he really need to make the comment about Harvey having problems? Rachel can get locked up with them too. No woman should compromise her ethics so much for a man...that's not true love, that is stupidity and weakness. If he lies to everyone for whatever reason...he is not the one! Who would want to live their life in constant fear? Did she even do anything this week? I stopped looking at her outfits long ago. By the way, did the show get another showrunner?
  14. Sad to say that I "GD" intended not to watch this show tonight and I am sorry I did. I cannot believe that it has come to Harvey and Louis brawling AT WORK over a girl, and the girl is Louis' sister. It is way beyond time that they let Louis grow up, and stop bringing in Daniel Hardman. He wasn't interesting the first or second time he was on, and the third time is not going to be the charm. Right Jessica, if you think someone is out to get you, the one person you really want him around is Mike "GD" Ross! How stupid is that? Yes, let's put him with the one person whose secret could ruin us. Also, she said many episodes ago that there was an issue with Mike not getting too much praise or the limelight. It is common sense that at some point people would start to question why he is not moving up. There was brilliance in moving Mike to the other job, but the writers just couldn't figure out a way to make it work. I'm also tired of "know it all Donna," who supposedly has a boyfriend, but still can't focus on her own life as opposed to Harvey and Louis. I can't even remember what the rest of the episode was about, but I know that Gina Torres' wardrobe was amazing! I would do anything to have that blouse she had on in the last scene, and her hair was gorgeous! I have a female style crush for the first time in my life!
  15. Is there a spoiler thread where someone who read the books or saw the first Poldark can tell me what happens to George?
  16. I thought at the end once they are safe they leave and the ones in jeopardy stay? Tonight, did everyone stay until they announced the one that was leaving? Eddie needs to tone down the "wow there is a pretty woman nearby" thing, as it just feeds into a stereotype about professional athletes, current and former. For one, he has proven he can be charming without throwing in those types of comments. I have to say I also find Arnold exhausting. I think he would be ok in small doses, like a web series or where he pops up to offer a quick, specific tip on something, but not a whole show. Alex, no way, I have no interest in watching either Alex or Dom come back as a result of Star Salvation Jay or Eddie..I could watch a show with either depending on the point of view, but Jay seems more and more rehearsed to me every week. I give him credit, however, for knowing what he needs to do to win.
  17. So why is Daniel coming back?
  18. He was reminding her about manners, not disciplining her at the table. Maybe it is me, but discipline always involved a punishment, yelling, a spanking, or something of that nature. Asking a child not to text, talk out of turn, rudely interrupt, etc. was just reminding them of social norms. I was also taught not to reach across the table and to ask someone to pass what I needed etc., especially as a child. IN any event, these are rules you discuss with your dates BEFORE you bring them around your child. It is also complicated that he is a headmaster, I am sure he is used to correcting students at work, and since she is at his school, it may be difficult for him to turn it off. It really doesn't matter, we all know he is not going to last.....for one thing even if the show goes one he has a job on some NBC show. Again, different cultures, different generations, etc. He does look like something is wrong with him, but Lucy clearly has no structure. Perhaps that is why April is a mess? Her mother was too drunk to provide her structure? She also showed she has social issues by repeating gossip that she SWORE she would not repeat for no good reason...and at a most inappropriate time I might add! Why tell Joss that when she is sitting there a suspect for murder? Even if he did sleep with someone else, what would make her think he would not return her call just to offer her some support, in which case if it was support or assistance, what difference would it make if he slept with someone else or not? I'm not convinced Harry didn't just pass out drunk and she lied about the whole thing. Did he remember sleeping with her?
  19. Yes, I can't understand why Joss would not have just showed the police the texts? Surely they are time stamped and she would have to be really good to have thought ahead to send Calista texts asking her questions. Also, I don't get why she didn't just call the police either. She had no gunshot residue on her hands, the police would not have said that she had time to ditch the weapon and it would have been totally plausible that someone could have shot him while she as upstairs. She would not have have to admit to the plot. She could have just said she had too much to drink, got started with him, but changed her mind. Surely the video shows her running into the bathroom? Also, the clock or something would have been blinking to confirm that here had been some type of power outage. I guess it is all about delivery and appropriateness. I was raised that any adult could correct your behavior. He may have used a stern tone of voice, but he hasn't threatened her. April put herself in that position by whining to him about her child before they were even a couple. She basically gave a cry for help that I can't control my kid...so maybe he feels that he has some type of pseudo permission. If you are not sure about a man, then don't have him around your child. It is clear that she has not taught the little girl basic manners. I'm just tired of them showing her having losers and unknowns around her child so quickly. The FBI agent, now this one, and what did she REALLY know about the guy that is living with her and the little boy that I still haven't seen? Is he still in the household? The only decent man she had was the one that was the father of Lucy's school friend, and I am probably not remembering what was wrong with him. If I"d had a husband that faked their own death and all the fallout, I wouldn't date ANYONE for a while, let alone the first cute man that comes along, and happens to be in close proximity to my child at her school. Again, I know this is supposed to a comedy drama, but they are just not funny and there is no real drama. I am very disappointed in the writing for Jennifer E's character, and quite frankly with her delivery. Her wardrobe, hair, lines, everything has been terrible! The writing was on the wall that the wife was more interested in Karen than she was her husband. Harry is not getting more of a story because he is boring...but I'm sure we will get a chance to see him be Joss' white knight or at least the big "let's get back together because we need each other." The reveal that he had slept with someone was so unnecessary and contrived. With friends like them, who needs enemies?? Really, what grown woman takes selfies of herself in someone's bed,and asks about another man after sleeping with someone else? Marc could not have looked more like a loser or a little kid when he was whining to Harry about not having anything to offer April.....uh, you don't, because you act like a child! The title should be "stupid stories" instead of mistresses. No one is really a mistress, but they all continue to do stupid things!
  20. I'm tired of Harvey's angst. People have family and relationship issues every day and still have to come to work and deal with it without taking it out on everyone else. Is this therapy thing a foreshadowing of someone getting Harvey's records for going to therapy? I am still sure someone overheard Mike and Rachel talking about it. I personally am sick of Daniel Hardman. He is a big part of what went wrong with this show, and they should have been smart enough to either send him to jail in previous episodes, or just leave him alone! I am starting to worry about everyone on the show. They have WAY too many people concerned about Harvey and Jessica's relationship. Daniel was obsessed with it, Louis is obsessed with it and now Jack or whatever his name is. Do really successful people spend that much time worrying about who someone likes "better" than they like them? Both Jessica and Harvey must have some charisma because now both Jack and Louis have been shown whining about them not "noticing" them....and I think there was another partner in the firm a few seasons ago that also had some issue about not being "noticed," by either Jessica or Harvey. If they are not worrying about Harvey and Jessica, everyone is worried about Harvey and Donna. How realistic that Tanner would even bring that up to Harvey? Donna has never been that awesome to me, and yes, someone else can be awesome too. I am no more interested in her interactions with Louis than I was her interactions with Harvey, even less, probably because she has to mother him more. They need to give Jessica something else to do besides run around playing "mama bear" and cleaning up messes. I'd like to see her being a lawyer, actually I'd like to see them in court more, or at least in the boardroom more, instead of in each other's offices gossiping about each other. Other than one questionable outfit, Jessica rocked it again this week!
  21. I agree it was a horrible idea to cut this season into two. I also agree with everyone...there was no mystery with Mei, I knew she was a girl from the start. Just another unnecessary storyline, along with the Swede. I actually don't know if I am going to make it through the last season. I agree with the above, I am watching it out of habit. I miss Eva and Elam's brother, (can't remember his name) and some of the other characters. Did we ever find out of MIckey was a serial killer, or was that another storyline that was dropped?
  22. I laugh. It is time for Zoila to feel what it is like to be betrayed! I have yet to watch the episode, but I hope Jesse was not the killer.
  23. Ginger is known to calm an upset stomach....many people take it as a natural remedy and some doctors even recommend it when you are pregnant. Something about Jay is not quite right, but I can't put my finger on it. That being said, I would take him over Alex any day. I always considered Valentine's Day and Halloween as more of an observance than an actual holiday. Of those that are left, Alex is the only one that I can't see making into a show. I would take Dom over Alex. Dom just never quite comes across as likeable...to a wide range of people. I think certain segments would find him charming, but others would be put off by him. This show in the early days is so different than what it is now. I only saw a few episodes the year Damaris (sp?) was on, but it was not a great year and I wouldn't watch her do anything. Besides, wouldn't Jay be similar to her POV?
  24. I"m sorry, but I don' t think I want to watch any of them. Why Alex or Dom are still here I don't know. I don't know what it is, but Arnold has great personality. I feel like they are not trying to develop him appropriately. I would totally watch a show where he shows me how to entertain..I can see him showing simple cocktails and starters, and more complex dishes that are quick. I was not fond of Jay's story, and unlike Susie, nothing Alex said about jumping in the car or whatever was interesting to me, but somehow I am sure they will figure out a way to keep him over Arnold or Eddie next week. Don't know what is going on with Eddie, I have forgotten his point of view. They have, however, been really playing up his "fall from grace" so it will be easier to send him home next week. I just have to say....I don't know what Dom has on the show runners, but if anyone other than him had left on this show tonight, I would have stopped watching.
  25. Eddie does not look like Aaron but even if he did it would not be the first time networks had look alike or similar stars.
