  1. Her hair has been bad since episode 1. I foresee me dropping out of this show and then reading about it on the internet when the mysteries are answered but by that time I won't care.
  2. I skipped several episodes of this show and didn't miss it. Then last week was drawn back in because I thought they were gonna give some answers. So then I watch this week hoping for answers and am disappointed. I thought fast forwarding through the boring parts would make it better. Nope. This show is so cliched. Delilah always talks in breathy whispers. No one ever turns on any lights in these rooms. I guess all of them have lost power. The stupid fake outs; The vote didn't pass, guess Delilah and her kids will be living under a bridge. Nope. She sold the building but decided to go ahead and sit in and listen to the vote even though it had no bearing on her life. Ahsley's gonna jump. Nope. She's just going to Spain. Why does lawyer lady continue to help Delilah? Delilah was screwing her husband until recently. If some floozy was sleeping with my man, you can bet I wouldn't be helping her with anything. And why did Beardy McBeardson get so mad at the other philanderer and not forgive him but seems totally okay with still being friends with and helping Delilah? Double standard much? Plus, Delilah is just awful. Yeah, Ashley should've revealed that information to Jon's family earlier, but to yell at her to get out was ridiculous. As someone up thread said, she could still have valuable information that they need to figure out what happened and why. And Beardy yelling at her to get out after Delilah (who apparently didn't care about her husband at the end of his life anyway) told her to get out reminded me of Brick Tamland yelling "LOUD NOISES!" He knows other people are upset and he wants to be upset on their behalf but doesn't quite understand everything that's going on.
  3. So Bradley Cooper, Matt Ryan, Ruben Amaro Jr. Am I missing anyone? How is it all these famous people are from Jenkintown? Is Jenkintown the nexus of the universe? Also, I never understood why characters on the Goldbergs call other characters by their full names.
  4. For those dogging on Ben for keeping secrets from Grace and Olive, when people found out about the callings, they died. That's why he was keeping secrets to protect them. It wasn't because he thought they couldn't handle it. It was because he didn't want them to die. Though as someone pointed out up thread, that started to fall apart with Jarred knowing and still being alive. But for the most part, everyone else has died. I honestly don't understand shows like this. They draw us in with a mystery and instead of serving that storyline they give us a bunch of family drama or love triangles we didn't ask for or want. We just want storylines that deal with the mystery. The show has an interesting concept, but they continually screw it up by not servicing that concept.
  5. This show has been inconsistent with so many characters for so long. Suddenly Cam's a vice principle...to never be heard about again unless it serves some plot point or joke. Kind of like Mitch and his multiple jobs and firings. I never know if he's employed or where he's working. Or like Haley and her starting a fashion website/app...no, she gets paid to go to parties and promote...no she works for a fashion designer...no wait she works for some Gwyneth Paltrow wannabe...she's an adult getting her stuff together...no she's back with Dylan and she's too stupid to tie her shoes. Let's not even get into how inconsistent Alex is and how the pick up and drop storylines with her. And those are just the inconsistencies I can think of off the top of my head.
  6. I keep waiting for him to say he has a meeting with the Bobs.
  7. Yes. Not a good sign for a show when the best character is the one who's dead.
  8. That's been stuck in my head ever since watching this episode. Jon is still the most interesting character on the show. If he jumped over being in debt then these writers are just lame. They need to flesh out the kids more instead of them just being props.
  9. I haven't watched this show for about 4 episodes now but I saw an ad the other night that this episode would answer questions so I watched. I don't think I followed everything. Why did Jon kill himself? Who is Barbara? Who told Jon to stop calling and what was it she couldn't do? Didn't much care for the Maggie story. It's like they didn't have enough story so they put that in there just to be filler. It added nothing.
  10. I think if it's a private school you don't necessarily need a teaching cert.
  11. Oh no. Sad face. C'mon Pop. Pay these ladies what they're worth. I really like this show.
  12. I liked Jay and Claire's story line the best. I don't really expect anything to come of Gloria taking real estate classes. I assume it'll be forgotten about by next week. There's been so many times in the past when characters have been provided the opportunity to take on new challenges and grow but the writers at MF seem to want to keep everything the same and not change anything up. I would have liked to have seen Gloria grow over the years and do something like this. I would've like to have seen Haley and Andy end up together because they wanted to and loved each other not because they felt like they had to because she got pregnant. I would've like to have seen Alex become a real character and have a bf that she clicks with and brings out the best in her as opposed to all the boyfriends that she's been embarrassed about like her mom's secretary or the high school kid or the dumb fireman. They've made her into a sadsack loser. What happened to Alex playing cello in a hipster band and having self confidence? That lasted barely an episode.
  13. I know some on here watch this and haven't seen The Goldbergs, but the timeline thing comes from The Goldbergs. On there it's always 1980 something as on Schooled it's always 1990 something. Part of it is supposed to be an unreliable narrator thing as in they can't correctly remember what year things happened. But I read something one of the writers or showrunners said about The Goldbergs and the real reason for doing that was so that they could put whatever 1980 nostalgia they wanted in episodes and just do what fit the story best. They said that if they did it chronologically that they would have to wait several season into the series before being able to include something like Die Hard.
  14. I believe it was last episode where Michaela said this calling was different because it was not her voice that she heard. I think the "Find her" was frozen guy's voice saying "Find her," her being Michaela. I hope they give the major story a rest for a while. I'm more interested in what happened to the plane and why it happened as opposed to how the major can use these people. As for Grace, when they were in the hospital she told Ben "No more secrets. You have to tell me everything." To which he says "Okay, but it's gonna sound crazy." And she replies with "A plane traveled through time. I'm ready to believe anything." So Ben tells her and she responds with "You're crazy. Shut up." Maybe not verbatim but you get the gist. I can't blame Ben for continuing on and not telling her. She made it clear she didn't wanna know or hear what he had to say or thought. So I don't really understand how we're supposed to feel any sympathy toward Grace. And Olive to continually bring Danny back into the picture and choose him over her dad is frustrating. And I want to like Olive.
  15. Am I the only one that thinks that maybe Dir. Bob Vance (Vance Refrigeration) is still alive? I don't believe we've heard the last of that character.
  16. So we're not supposed to recognize the major from some other episode? I was wondering about that. It's sometimes hard to keep up with everyone. I agree on the whole Grace is terrible thing. Ben says you kicked me out and she responds with and you left. What was he supposed to do? Argue with her and not leave? I hope they're not just setting up a lot more mysteries that they don't intend to pay off anytime soon. You can't just keep starting new mysteries. Some have to be paid off now and then to keep the viewers interested.
  17. As well as a belt sander. It's a little painful but it works.
  18. They would be wise to take your advice. That character is getting to be unlikable.
  19. It wasn't too bad of a beginning. I'll tune in to see where this show goes. Them using Today as the uplifting song at the end was a misstep. A song about suicide shouldn't really be used for the "Aww, we all learned something" moment.
  20. I woulda watched the Sue show.
  21. Oh I do hope they play season 12 in the states. I just looked on UP TV and no word on when or if they will air season 12.
  22. Most people I know work in offices and their hours are 8-5. That means leaving around 7 or 7:30 which is still not long after the sun comes up even in the summer.
  23. I kinda liked it. But I'm known to like silly things.
  24. This is a little old but still interesting...
  25. It doesn't make sense other than just to keep the girls together. Even though I like Fernando, I feel like they had him and Kimmy reconcile too soon and got DJ and Stephanie paired off with guys too soon. I would've liked to have seen more of the she-wolf pack on their own, doing their own thing before they brought guys and relationships into it. If most of the first season had just been the she-wolf pack and then toward the end of season one start bringing guys into the storyline and then pair the girls off with BFs in season two that woulda been good.
