  1. That finale was really creepy and bloody. Does the ending mean she’s going to be as bad as her soulmate? I guess she is if she’s free in spite of killing both guys I'm confused about who she shocked (to death?) in the alley. I thought that was her roommate, or was it just a creeper?
  2. AMC renewed it ahead of the first season premiere. Deadline reported it back on August 7. That's assuming of course things don't get thrown off course by the pandemic
  3. It's been moved to Dec 2 as a two episode premiere due to an election preemption of The Amazing Race
  4. I finally watched this online this morning via NBC.com. It was definitely bittersweet. I was never really sure about Amy and Jonah as a couple so I’m ok with them breaking up. I don’t know how well they can replace America though, she was such an integral part of the show
  5. I think the show will survive Faris’s departure just fine (at least for this season) given how marginalized she seemed to get in the last season or two and how much the group grew to be the focus of the show. It was a good episode overall
  6. Did anyone else’s DVR think this was a different episode that was a repeat and not record? I guess I’m going to have to catch this online in the next couple of days
  7. In the aftermath of a fan re-watch of "Blink", writer Steven Moffat released his original script of the episode https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5fa00eae3c864b451a02f146/t/5fa069072c4319588b2a21be/1604348167981/Doctor+Who+3+-+Ep+10+-+D1.pdf

You aren't too far behind. After 4 episodes, they took a break for a couple of weeks and will return with the final two episodes starting Nov 15
  9. So could the Reverend be charged with anything given he helped/forced/enticed a bunch of people to die? I guess other than helping people to commit suicide (assuming that's a crime in this show), they seemed to be there of their own free will, but at the same time, he was preying upon some pretty vulnerable people. I kept going back and forth as to whether the two guest stars would end up together alive or dead. Glad to see they made it out alive I'm somewhat iffy on the show given the wildly different episodes (but it's an anthology so it can do that), but at the same time, when an episode interests me, like this on, it's pretty interesting
  10. I too enjoyed the Vote episode, though like others, I wish they had turned the tables a bit on who was a hero and villain. We did get Ava and Obrecht’s vote characters voting though. I also appreciate that Carly’s vote character expressed that she didn’t care how a woman voted, just that she did. I appreciate as well that the episode was only women in front and behind the camera and that we got the Black perspective as well from Trina and “Portia”. Wikipedia says at least 75% of Black women didn’t get to exercise their right to vote at the time because of their state constitutions (their White sisters threw them under the bus to get the vote) and Asian and Indigenous women weren’t allowed the right to vote until later. And of course Blacks had to wait until the 1960s to be allowed to vote in the South. For the most part, it sounded like they got the pattern of speech and words right for the era, though I did notice Portia’s vote character used People (or Women) of Color at one point
  11. Not a surprise as the ratings were terrible. I was bored with the first episode but it picked up for me after that
  12. I just don't understand rich parents who want to force their kid to go to college when she makes it perfectly clear that she's not interested and will end up wasting their money. I definitely don't get rich parents who will go to a lot of effort to cheat for a kid who has no interest in going to college. Hope it was worth the jail time
  13. I enjoyed the episode; it covered the chaos of the pandemic pretty well. I liked that they went through the subsequent months so we could see how things progressed I understand that some viewers don't want to see Covid stuff, but I think shows like medical shows, Superstore because of the retail stories and The Connors because they have been so oriented around working class issues can't ignore it
  14. Yes, the ratings were pretty bad. It premiered with 0.3 in the 18-49 demo and 1.8 million viewers and I think it went a bit down for the second episode and I read somewhere its 7 day ratings were just about the same. I don’t know if it’s an expensive show, but if it is, it likely wasn’t worth getting a second season given the added production expenses due to Covid and the likelihood the ratings wouldn’t get better. Wasn’t this going to be a Summer or late Spring show that was held over until Fall? It may have been set up to fail
  15. I give the show a pass on showing the baby/toddler given the pandemic. The parents may not want to risk the child's health or the producers may think the safety protocols might be too much to deal with a baby
  16. Children In Need’s 2020 telecast will be on Friday Nov 13 on the BBC, with some contribution from Doctor Who. The hope is there will be a trailer or something for the Revolution of the Daleks special and perhaps a broadcast date. There are rumors it will be shown at Christmas, but there’s been nothing official. 17. I’m starting to feel the coaches should be sitting further apart and that they should be wearing masks at all times, along with Carson.
  18. Keith will probably appeal, though who knows what kind of chance he has. He called the judge corrupt and didn’t really show remorse so he probably won’t find a sympathetic audience in the courts
  19. Really good result. I hope his victims feel somewhat better and can go on with their lives. Anything on whether and when he’ll be eligible for parole?
  20. Are we to assume cameras are actually capturing these events as they are happening (like most reality shows) or that the operators are reenacting things (or are actors playing the operators)? I wondered since the blurb says calls are rerecorded to protect privacy and whatnot.
  21. That second to last singer was boring, so I’m not surprised she didn’t get a chair turn. I think she was the one who indicated she liked bluegrass, country and something else interesting, so I don’t know why she didn’t go with an interesting mix The sound levels are not doing some singers any favors. I can barely hear some of these people when not in closeup I appreciate that they have a virtual audience. It helps with the excitement level and doesn’t put anyone in danger

  23. Doctor Who Editor Rebecca Trotman won the Cymru BAFTA (ie Welsh BAFTA) Editing award for Ascension of the Cybermen
  24. Jodie will be on BBC Radio 6 tomorrow (Sunday) at 2pm
  25. Episode 3 was pretty interesting with the couple in an open marriage, plus the wife's soulmate was a woman, which they were clearly not expecting. It didn't seem like anything was going to work out, but in the end, everybody involved figured out how to make it work in a rather interesting manner
