Any idea how many episodes left for this season?

The dragon fire seemed really potentially dangerous to me, even more than getting slammed into poles. As an older person, I cringe at all the contestants getting slammed by doors, poles and windmills. That has to be tough on the joints, even for younger people

Betty was one of many women who were of a time where they were dependent on the man in the marriage and had no work history of their own. She and Dan had also made it into the rich people's club and she was so used to a certain lifestyle that she couldn't give it up. But she was clearly mentally ill or on the verge that she went over the top in either trying to keep her marriage together or sticking it to Dan and Linda. Dan was just as bad with his vengefulness in not giving Betty the money or understanding she deserved. Like many posters have said, they were both bad, bad people and the separation and divorce brought out the worst in them. Linda should have permanently headed for the hills instead of getting entangled in that mess I kind of wonder what would have finally happened in this ongoing fight if Betty hadn't ended it with killing Dan and Linda. They probably would be fighting to this day

I know right? I kept noticing how awful his beard was in previous episodes and his whole face looked awful in this episode Another one who loved the opening credits. I like how creative they are being in their last season and doing some off the wall stuff

Betty may have become a double murderer, but both she and Dan seemed to be psychopaths of some variation. Dan just didn't live to further show how nuts he was Is Betty getting any psychiatric treatment while in jail?

I still marvel that this show got 4 seasons after it went so off the rails in Season 2. I bailed sometime during Season 3 In the end, I think it's pretty clear, at least to me, that the change in showrunners caused a lot of the problems. Goffman seemed more interested in a family drama than a Scifi/fantasy show and sidelined everyone that wasn't part of his vision. He didn't seem to care at all for Crane and Abbey's great chemistry. Not to mention being insensitive/clueless to how they treated the Black actors/characters. Of course, the show was rebooted in Season 4 with the move to DC, but it also was rebooted early on in the second season, with the gang defeating Moloch, who up til then was the central premise of the show. When you have a team take over a Scifi show who aren't really interested in Scifi, you create a pretty muddled show

David Tennent and Jodie Whittaker were guests on The James Corden Show via video to talk about Doctor Who ETA: Corden then had a segment where some fans participated in a cosplay competition where Jodie and David, in their original Who costumes, judged https://www.bbcamerica.com/anglophenia/2020/06/watch-david-tennant-and-jodie-whittaker-don-doctor-who-costumes-to-judge-james-cordens-cosplay-contest

https://cultbox.co.uk/news/jodie-whittaker-thanks-fans-for-sign-language-version-of-her-song-yellow Cultbox has a nice article on a group of fans doing a sign language version of Jodie’s cover of Yellow (not sure the date they released the video) to benefit Mencap, a charity that helps people with intellectual disabilities and one that Jodie is an ambassador for. Both Jodie’s brother (whose son Harry had Downs Syndrome and died when he was 3) and Jodie recently thanked the fans for their efforts. The article contains the fan video and Mr. Whittaker’s Tweet that included Jodie’s video thanks. Jodie had dedicated Yellow to Harry Separately, some fans got together and in honor of Jodie’s recent birthday, created a graphic novel to illustrate Pete McTighe’s Lockdown short story Press Play, that had the 13 Doctor receive a message from her granddaughter Susan. The fans posted the story on Twitter https://mobile.twitter.com/jessicatzen/status/1273276733370896385

I didn't like the way Ben sang it either at the end. It's obvious he was doing it in quarantine so I understand it didn't have a professional look, but the unpolished nature of it and the lack of instruments and what not just made Ben sound overwrought

The remaining episodes were listed to be shown Sunday night but they seem to have disappeared off my listings

I’m glad I watched the “Vick” 2 parter and I recommend others watch it and not delete it. Part 2 may make you feel better than Part 1 does. I didn’t recall at the time that Vick ultimately took responsibility for his actions and after prison did a lot of charity and other work to talk against dogfighting. He’s fully owned up to his actions and committed to change, something Armstrong still hasn’t done i honestly didn’t realize at the time how much the rhetoric against Vick was racist or veered in that direction. People were rightly upset that he was involved in harming and killing dogs, but I can now understand why Blacks got upset about the attacks against Vick It wasn’t stated in the doc, but quite a few of the dogs were ultimately saved in a change in procedure (dogfighting dogs were typically put down), where they were rehabbed and given new homes

Final treat for the Who Lockdown stuff. Audio/video sequel short to World Enough and Time/The Doctor Falls two parter, titled "The Best of Days. Written by Stephen Moffat, and starring Pearl Mackie as Bill Potts and Matt Lucas as Nydole. The actual tweetalong of the two parter has been canceled due to fan concerns for the material amidst current events

I actually posted before I saw Bebe’s choice of choosing 2 winners and combining Miracle and Bones, but supposedly knew the song chosen. I guess they ended up gutting Miracle except for its chorus and inserting in Bones for the rest. It was an unusual choice for this show

I really enjoyed You’re Not Alone Anymore, both of the times they’ve shown it, though the second was more fun. I’m currently going through some early ones I recorded, I think from the 90s, and there were some fun acts over the years and some really good singing

So who was the female blonde nurse who featured prominently in the Nurses’ number in today’s episode? I think I’ve seen her in other repeat episodes Does ABC still have the Nurse’s Ball collection on their website? I tried looking but seemed to reach a dead page. If they haven’t done it already, I wish they would release a musical highlights collection on DVD or via streaming, but that might be a rights nightmare. I know there are some fan-made collections for personal purchase or trade somewhere and I recorded several show highlights for my own use, but it would be nice to have good recordings

In Bebe Rexha’s episode, they really got into “Miracle”, before it even went into the rewriting session. There was a whole lot of back and forth improvisation going on, more than usual with much more excitement it seemed. I don't recall another artist from either season who jumped onto the stage like that and did their style of a song. And of course, it ended up being the winning song. I guess it won’t be introduced at the Olympic Games though

If all Armstrong did was dope and cheat, I think that would be reasonably forgivable given that so many did it (though if so many have to dope so much at a sport because it's too hard, maybe people shouldn't be doing that sport, or the people in charge should make it easier). The problem for Armstrong is that he didn't just cheat. He went after his critics and destroyed them or tried to. He set himself up to be a role model with his cancer foundation and he was lying all that time. He viciously hurt too many people to cover his cheating (and usually in a very public way) and that kind of sliminess and nastiness will take a long time to forgive, if ever

Another Doctor Who Lockdown treat: Audio (with some video) short created as sequel to recent New Earth/Gridlock fan tweetalong titled The Secret of Novice Hame. Written by RTD, music by Murray Gold, and a special appearance by David Tennant as The Doctor. This is the 2nd to the last specials for the Lockdown tweetarounds
-
Another Lockdown treat: A rendition of Murray Gold’s The Long Song from The Who episode The Rings Of Akhaten by Jana Marie Gropp and a chorus of 300 fans around the world. This is ahead of a global fan tweetalong of Rings of Akhaten. It appears this will be the last Lockdown tweetalong as the UK starts to reopen (ETA: I was in error; it appears there will be two more after this)

Yeah, definitely very catchy. I think I liked it a bit better than the winning Lovestruck, but all 3 songs were good and I’m glad all 3 were picked. Up

It’s possible I missed this in the various interruptions, but what happened to Willow’s mom Harmony in regards to her working for Cyrus after TJ was released?

I can't be the only one who thought "That's a Country Song" should have won, can I? It sounds very country and had a great beat. It sounded right in line with the 1 or 2 songs I've heard from Florida Georgia Line. But it didn't even make the cut-down. I don't understand it
