It could still be cancelled if ABC truly isn't happy with the ratings. If they get a pilot that think might do better it could still get cancelled. I think the real problem for Station 19 is that it has zero buzz. There are 3 firehouse shows on right now so it gets lost a bit in the shuffle. Chicago Fire is the Chicago one and 911 is the wacky one with a great cast and Station 19 is just kind of there. It should be the one with a badass female captain but the lead is so bland I can't remember the character's name and she's been on Grey's a few times now. In any case I hope we get a resolution to Ben's story that doesn't make Bailey look ridiculous. She needs therapy. He's a firefighter not a frontline soldier the odds of him dying are pretty slim. The more likely scenario is that he gets injured and ends up returning to surgery. As written it feels more like Bailey needs her OCD meds adjusted because she's fixating on Ben's safety.

I actually laughed at the scene where the Cherokee menace Jamie and the boy. You see as an Aboriginal myself I know "blood sacrifice" for us is usually a token sacrifice like the small cut William received. We never did any major sacrifice a limb or an actual person to the gods craziness that you see further south with the Aztecs and some of those other cultures. There are some pain sacrifices that were pretty intense but those were an honour for warriors not a punishment. The Cherokee were just trying to scare the stupid white people so they wouldn't mess with their stuff again. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if they were hungry considering the time and place. Between the war and the move inland a lot of their food sources would have been disrupted.

Yeah speaking as an Aboriginal I'm actually a more offended by some of the commentary on this episode than the actual episode itself. It's so fucking patronizing, the idea that POC characters need to hit certain benchmarks and requirements to acceptable. Saying Native characters cannot be one time or short term characters is ridiculous. Saying you can't use certain words in a historical context because it's "offensive". That's the fucking point!!! It supposed to make you uncomfortable and be upset at what you're seeing. This episode wasn't perfect it could have used one less subplot. That doesn't mean the stories it wanted to tell was flawed.

I can also see the water level in those tubs being too high for Jen most of them are pretty deep and sit you on the bottom. The one thing I noticed about the tub they choose is it has jets around the bottom. So Jen can partially fill it and still use the jets.

Even if her simulation specialty isn't emergent Neonatalogy is. The NICU patients would have been among the first patients moved back into the hospital after an evacuation. They probably would have been short staffed and really did need Jen to come in as soon as she could. Jen might be not be up for 24 hour shifts anyone but I'm sure she can help out in a pinch.

I was wondering why if he was having trouble with the pain why he didn't get the tattoo on his legs. Since he obviously has limited sensation (or possibly none at all they've never really clarified that)in his legs.

I don't know if I would call it offensive just yet. After all we know Grindelwald is WizardHitler but Queenie does not. To her he is offering her chance to be normal and be accepted which I suspect is hard for her. I think her gifts make her unusual even among wizards and she hasn't always been treated well. Hence her reaction to being called crazy. So while its easy for us to say she is betraying her people that's not how she sees it. Queenie is an idealist and Grindelwald appealed to that, it absolutely makes sense for Queenie to do what she did. I would also like to point out that there were actual Jews who supported and in some cases sided with Hitler. Some who only did so under duress but some like Chaim Rumkowski did so over and above what the Nazi's asked them to do. I don't think Queenie is in any danger of becoming a Rumkowski in fact that's what makes here story so interesting to me going forward. I think its a matter of when Queenie turns back to Team Dumbldore not if. It makes her much more central to the story than as Tina's sister or Jacob's fiancee. I do agree that whitewashed representation is almost worse than no representation. However I'm not sure how the story get's around the universes aversion to actual discussions of religion or race. It would odd for both the Potter verse and the time period(The American solution to ethnic diversity pre-60's was to ignore it or discriminate against it after all) for Tina to go around casually saying she is Jewish. I can see her bringing it up with Newt if they actually start dating seriously but not really otherwise.

Well I have to say I liked it. It was fun and entertaining and the plot worked much better in this one. Wizard Hitler is wonderfully timely without being too on the nose. I am not surprised Vanity Fair hated it they are extremely pretentious and wouldn't know fun if it bit them on the ass. I think the movie struck a good balance even though it was definitely darker and more adult than the first. The pacing was a little off and it felt like we missed some scenes particularly in Queenie's story but that's somewhat expected with this many characters. I do think the changing sides fits with her character though and that she struggles with her gift at times. It also means she will have a much bigger role in the next film. Even Johnny Depp was competent. They must have threatened to fire and not pay him if he fucked up (he has had massive money troubles lately). I like that they gave the Niffler a purpose. Otherwise I wouldn't have blamed Newt if he left the damn thing by the side of the road somewhere. Even if the baby Nifflers were freaking adorable. The way I see it there are a few possibilities for Aurelius Dumbledore's true parentage. 1) He's Aberforth's long lost son. This is the simplest explanation but its also the least interesting so it probably won't be used. 2) A couple of places are referring to him as some kind of long lost brother but both of Albus's parents would have been long dead by the time Aurelius was born. Unless Albus's father got out of Azkaban and ran off and had a kid with someone else but I'm pretty sure he died there. 3) He Albus Dumbeldore's long lost son. This contradicts cannon in multiple ways and I would be severely disappointed if they retconned the series only major gay character. 4)He's actually Ariana's child. This is probably the most twisted option as she was probably only about 14 or 15 when she died. It would also mean Grindelwald is likely the father since he's the only non-related male(I doubt TPTB would go there with incest) who would have had access to her. It would raise the question if it was consensual relationship but the series has gone there with killing babies so I don't see why rape would be an issue. It's also possible Aurelia as an extremely sheltered teen aged girl and was simply charmed by Grindelwald. I also think those two beeing Aurelius's parents makes the most sense storywise. It would be a retcon but it makes sense that Aberforth would leave out the part of the story that might paint his sister in a bad light. It would also explain Gridelwald's obsession with the boy and why Albus sent him away.

I can also see the writers giving her this story as a way of closing out her arc. It's worth remembering that when these stories were written the show was far from a sure bet. All the stories are designed to provide closure.

I actually think it would be easier to go to Betty's parents and ask them to sign over gaurdianship to Amelia then bothering with foster care. It's a much simpler process in most states. Although that could risk the parents taking her back or deciding they want Leo. I almost wondered if that was what happened when Betty disappeared. That she decided to move back in with her parents and didn't know how to tell Amelia.

I have to say I loved the scene between Peter and Daniel. Chris Gascoyne is worth every dime he gets paid. It's why I'm glad to see Peter get out of of that factory. He would just end up thrown under the bus to serve St Snarla in the end. Carla and Nick deserve each other. Tracy and Steve are brilliant in all their chaotic messy hilarious glory. I really hope they get through this one. They just make so much sense both because of their family histories and who they are as characters.

If he had been crushed against the gate his body wouldn't have been half way up the drive. Also the gate was undamaged and the car probably would have blown right through it. It seemed to me like the car ran him over and stopped because he jammed up the wheel. The girl is a person though is my point. A lot of the stories on this show are borrowed from real life. Cherry picking one story seems like you are saying because this story happened to a young (not too mention white male) celebrity it matters more than the guy who was crushed by a malfunctioning escalator in real life. Or any of the multitude of other people's stories the show has dramatised.

Except the old man wasn't crushed he was run over after his husband left the car in drive on a slope. Anton Yelchin's brakes were defective so the rolled even when it was left in park. Also Anton Yelchin was pinned to the pillar by his car not run over by it. There are actually probably several people killed the way the old man was every year. The show uses events from real life. I'm sure the girl who actually fell from that ceiling never found it funny. She also probably wouldn't appreciate the show poking fun. I think the ripped from real life aspect is part of the show and it seems odd to single out the one example. I feel like this might be more of the case of the show not being in your taste rather than the show actually did something offensive.

Roseanne Barr is actually mentally ill she has been diagnosed so she's not just "Hollywood Crazy". Sorry but it something that always seems to get skipped over and it's not really something to be flip about. I feel like the show is pulling it punches a little. It's understandable all things considered. Original recipe Roseanne would have made the principal back down though. It's not a this show is too PC thing either. It just felt a little anti-climatic. I also feel like Darlene could have come at him the other way. She could have suggested the school was being trans phobic by not allowing Mark to wear the costume. If you take politically correct to far it becomes censorship and ends up being another stick to beat people with. I just hope the show doesn't stay cautious the original never was.

Except most people who have been adopted actually would say it's works pretty much the opposite of what you're saying. Adopted kids who are raised with a sense of who they are and where they come from are more secure and sure of themselves. They're actually less likely to seek out answers about their families. Letting kids experience their culture helps them understand themselves. I can tell you having known some people who are Aboriginal and were adopted by white people who insisted they "assimilate" and it did a huge amount of damage. Treating a child's race as an after thought or something to be forgotten makes them feel like it's a bad thing. You have to teach minority kids to have pride in thier culture because otherwise the racists in this world will teach them to hate themselves. Race is like anything else you have to give your kids the message first or they pick it up from stereotypical and often nasty sources.

Yeah season 2 has always been my favorite. It feels like most complete story and comes together really well. I think it was necessary to show how the drugs get into the country and why even McNulty's great vision of arresting the suppliers wouldn't really change anything. I also loved how lived in the Sobotkas and the rest of the guys at the docks felt. The smaller cast probably helps with that. Rewatching I realized something about Ziggy he was a short skinny kid who grew up in a culture where that was not a good thing. So he coped by being the clown. Especially since he obviously grew up next to Nick. I bet he heard some variation of "Why aren't you/ can't you be more like Nick" more times than he could count. Which is part of what I loved about thier relationship. Ziggy never seemed to resent Nick all that much. It was actually somewhat mature of Ziggy to realize it wasn't Nick's fault.

You mean Suranne Jones? I could see her being good at this one. Physically Keeley Hawes is better fit though, she brought something wonderfully Thatcheresque to the character. Plus the odds on someone with Jones' rough around the edges Manchester accent becoming a Conservative Home Secretary are probably pretty low. Although I would have liked a bit more common ground for David and Julia. The whole fancy lady likes a bit of rough aspect of their relationship is annoyingly cliche. The romance was actually one of the weakest points of the show especially in this episode. The chemistry is mostly there but the story is thin to the breaking point. There just doesn't seem to be anything there except sex and the show seems to want us to think it some great love story. I also feel like Julia using her sexuality to manipulate David doesn't quite ring true. She's wound so tight and seems to pride herself in being direct. I think she would find it demeaning and something lesser women would do.

I think it's Michael business because he is trying to bring Bobby into his family. It's also Michael's business because this is going to affect Bobby's relationship with his kids, it already has in small ways. This is something that Bobby is going to have to explain eventually if he wants to move forward with Athena. If nothing else because it's not fair to her to ask Athena to keep this a secret from her family. I'm not saying Bobby needs to tell everyone just his family and people he wants to make family.

Okay clearly we are not going to agree here but here a few points for your to chew on. 1) Therapy is not a fucking magic wand. It doesn't fix everyone even when they try and not everyone responds to it. Alex has actually done group therapy after the shooting and he spent most of it making fun of Lexie. Plenty of people don't do well with talk therapy and Alex is probably one of them. Some people do better taking up boxing or doing stand-up comedy. Alex simply doesn't process his emotions verbally not everyone does. This is not a failing on Alex's part just a reflection that people are varied and what is a cure for some is not always a cure for all. 2) Even if he did go to therapy it cannot change the fact the violence is his first impulse when he feels threatened or when someone he cares about is threatened. No therapy removes violent impulses usually it just teaches people how to better hide them. Alex has violent impulses because of the environment he grew up in imprinted them at a very early age, they are literally part of how his brain is wired. What you are asking him to do is like asking him to be left handed or gay. 3) What if DeLuca had actually been raping Jo? Would you be so insistent on punishing Alex? I also have to wonder what sort of "punishment" you would prefer? a stay in jail would serve no one. Should he be barred from medicine? who would that serve? not DeLuca anyway. Punishment for punishments sake is useless and I highly doubt Alex will actually do anything like that again. 4) To me it seems more like you want Alex to conform to your version of normal. I don't think that's realistic or good storytelling. Some people are fucked up and stay mostly that way. Frankly Alex is probably one of the most realistic characters on TV in that respect. The idea that people overcome horrible trauma and just come out the other side perfectly normal with a few weeks in therapy is TV bullshit at its finest.

It's not being hot headed, that is what someone with PTSD being triggered looks like. Domestic violence has always been a trigger for Alex. He has actually gotten better at dealing with it. There was a time when he would have taken a swing at Linc. You never really get over the type of violence that Alex grew up with. He talked it over with Linc at thier first opportunity and once it was settled they were good. I'm not sure what else Alex was supposed to do in that situation. Frankly I feel like complaints about Alex's temper usually say more about the privilege of those making them than about the character. It's one thing to complain the story being repetitive it's another to say a character should just "get over" one of the worst childhoods in all of Shondaland. People don't work that way and of the things I've always liked about Grey's is how relatably fucked up everyone is. It's also worth noting that in Alex's situation the abuse ended because he stood up to his father and threw him out of the house. So I get why he thinks Linc could have helped Jo. It might even have worked if Linc had been able to act early enough in the relationship. Abusers are bullies and sometimes if someone stands up to them they back down. Of course it could have also back fired and made Jo closer to her ex.

I think Meredith is acting in Amelia's best interest actually. Teddy is a ticking time bomb in Owen and Amelia's life the sooner it goes off the sooner they can deal with the fallout.

I don't think Athena should tell anyone about Bobby. Bobby should be telling people about at least the fact that he had a family. Bobby needs to be honest, hiding from his past isn't good for his relationships, his emotional recovery or his sobriety. I get that keeping moving was how he kept sane but he needs to move past his survival mode and into really living. Telling Athena was a great first step and he needs to keep making them. It's the only way he will ever be able to move past what happened. Choosing to let Michael know about his family rather than it happenning accidentally like with the team would be good for him.

Yeah there is a medium there and its slightly annoying. Although its mostly bothering me that the longer Athena and Bobby are smooth sailing the more worried I am Bobby is going to get drunk and wrap his car around a pole or something else predictable for an alcoholic fuck up. I do wonder what Micheal will make about Bobby's history. I think right now he just thinks Bobby reluctance is just about him not having kids. Micheal might have trust issue especially if he finds out Bobby is an addict at the same time. Although I also think that some of the misunderstanding on Micheal's part is him not getting Minesota polite. (Which in all fairness is probably very different from what Micheal grew up with) He keeps pushing and I'm wondering when Bobby is going to push back. Bobby is starting to get into passive aggressive territory with not telling Micheal the truth at this point. I get not telling the kids its a lot for them to absorb, but Micheal keeps trying to make Bobby family and he deserves to know why Bobby is so reluctant.

Alabaster is just a shade of white. Its no different than referring to Randall as ebony, there is nothing really offensive about it. Also because white people have much more power in society it doesn't really "go both ways". White peoples words can carry a weight of history and suffering that non-whites can't. That why white people need to be careful with their words. You are attempting to apply an equal standard where none exists there is a really good article about it here. I think Kevin was drinking at prom was definitely connected to racist dad. Kevin drinks when he feels inadequate. He knows Jack would have stood up to the guy and that makes him feel like he doesn't measure up.

You are not the only one I shipped these two before I knew what shipping was. I get why they broke up but with Big Bang Theory ending TPTB might want to make David a regular. At least we hope.
