  1. Post mortem of episode 10 and vague hints of season 2 with showrunner Barbie Kligman.
  2. So Elijah is the choreographer. Nice. Faith deserves some fun. I ended up feeling sorry for Whitney by the end of the episode. Well done because I really disliked her early on. When Ormewood said that he's glad that the play isn't a musical, I thought that they were going to have Jophielle (Cooper) sing. She sang a lot of General Hospital and the board mostly hated it. Family/friend times at the Ormewood house was nice.
  3. Long may he continue. She thinks that Rocco should live with her at Laura's place because she didn't live with him for 4 years? Rocco should have a major say. This version of Lulu is very self-absorbed. She told him that it didn't matter how he felt, he wasn't Jason. It was the cruelest I've ever seen Robin. I still can't understand why Joss is willing to take time away from college to have a secret life and lie to her family and friends. She never struck me as the 'save the world' type. Joss' boyfriend dies of cancer; she becomes pre-med. Joss second boyfriend is stabbed; she joins law enforcement. If her next boyfriend dies by being struck by a fallen lamp post, will she become a linesman? Just before the bomb went off, Sidwell skipped across the room to go outside and watch.... something. And then the bomb went off. It could have been a distraction though.
  4. Joss fighting with her trainer is not entertaining. Why does this show think that every relationship has to start out as antagonists? (e.g. Trina/Kai, Brook Lynn/Chase, possible Tracy/Martin and Molly/Cody). The only one that isn't antagonistic is Isaiah/Jordan which maybe should be because there is so little chemistry now. Brennan is allowed to see Carly but he keeps her family away? Sure, show. Was there some love potion that Brennan drank? Because this is way too much, too fast. Meanwhile, he is keeping Joss's whereabouts a secret from her. Amanda Setton must be loving all this emotion from Brook Lynn's story. Me, not so much. Sasha is an absolute nutcase now. She's hysterical that Willow moving in with Drew will hurt Michael, she wishes he could have heard that baby's heartbeat with her, but she wants him and his family to have nothing to do with the baby. Pick a lane, woman. According to this site, a lawyer makes between $800 and $1500 for selling a property. Even if you doubt that if it's very expensive, that's still at most $3000 and there are expenses that come out of that. That's chicken feed in terms of what Martin should be making, and as others have said, shouldn't even need to be reported yet. The irony is that a psychosis usually isn't under the control of the person. Sociopathy is. So Trina is unwittingly giving Esme more of an out.
  5. This may be my favourite episode of the season. So snarky, so much fun.
  6. I think that the writers have finally got the right tone for Gio. He's Dante's son, but also he's got some Tracy in him. Can you get extradited to another state for being in alimony arrears? it feels like this show really plays fast and loose with American law. Who is this Maria person who works at the Quartermaines and gets Tracy's tea? Have we ever heard of her before? Brennan is telling the ER at GH how to treat a poisoning. Does he have a medical degree, or is he just the perfect mate for Carly? (Valentin, you have one job....) Tracy, it's "what a swell party this is." Especially if you're going to sing it. Martin, the excuse of "I was just following orders" doesn't hold any more. Esme was sociopathic, not psychotic. Don't misuse the terms.
  7. It seemed more teasing to me than flirting. But the point that I was addressing is that they hadn't met that morning, the relationship pre-dated the last 3 episodes of GA. But then I like actress, Vinessa Antoine. I wish that she had stayed on the show longer.
  8. I can kind of see it. Amy is unsure of herself right now, people react to her differently than she thinks they would, she went out on a limb with TJ's father but he is not getting better, and a couple of episode Richard has been her friend for years and was kind to her, telling her that and acting like he's trying to save her. She doesn't know who she was before the accident and for all she knows, Richard may be telling her the truth, that he is trying to protect her for a hasty decision she made and failed to document. When your world is falling apart, you seek comfort. Amy's was rocked at what Richard told her and TJ's father. Michael was known and comforting, and she slipped. That said, I really hope that this doesn't mean that Michael leaves his wife and gets back together with Amy. His relationship with Amy is not a healthy one at the moment.
  9. It's not in blackface territory but still offensive. Gio is going to pick up Emma, so Yuri goes to get the car for him. I understand if Yuri gets the car for Monica or Tracey but Gio is a healthy 20 year old, he can get the car for himself. Bad strategy to get Gio used to being waited on.
  10. Same here. It's very confusing to me, I hate to think how it would be for someone with face blindness. If they have to hire these actresses who all look the same, at least give them different hairstyles so we can tell them apart.
  11. I don't think that he's going to be doing the work himself, other than the fence, so there should be time enough to shoot the show. It was a gorgeous house. I kept thinking 1. it must have hurt to have to take all that woodwork and glass down and 2. this is going to cost a fortune. Other thought: he and Meghan have fun chemistry here, which is interesting because in their Hallmark movie, there was little chemistry at all. Maybe they were acting too hard.
  12. Good try show. But i still preferred Linc's relationship with Amelia to this one with Jo. I'm awfully tired of how immature these doctors are. Not just the residents but senior doctors. Richard is acting like a child because Meredith followed the ethics rules and didn't tell him because her patient told her not to. But Millon is just plain embarrassing. So Yasuda left the program. She didn't die, she didn't get permanently disfigured like children in a war zone, she didn't starve to death. Life happens and you deal. Anyone as fragile as Millon seems should not be allowed to interact with patients. Good for the retreat guy to know that he wasn't up to handling what happened to the interns. (Typical Grey's drama though. I've been listening to military counselors and what soldiers go through makes Grey's trauma look like kindergarten.) This is the woman who Ndugu went out with once and then ghosted, as the daughter confronted him on back in episode 8 before the break. Her daughter is the athlete that he and Amelia did the surgery on in the last episode. The woman said that she would have accepted a few months ago (i.e. when he first dated her) not now that her daughter knows him; basically that he wasn't ready for the kind of relationship that her daughter would be expecting them to have. I think she's right -- Ndugu isn't ready for a serious relationship. He pretty much said so to Ben earlier.
  13. Victor is Mikkos' brother so Valentin and Alexis are first cousins, making Charlotte and Sam second cousins. I guess that would make Charlotte and Danny second cousins once removed. Is this some kind of special birthday year for Trina? I could understand a family birthday dinner but is this large multi-generational friends party for a regular birthday something that's common in New York? Why does Carly get to always have a romantic relationship in her life? (I guess that's a rhetorical question.) There are characters like Alexis and Diane, roughly the same age, who rarely get romantic relationships and if they do, they are blown up quickly (e.g. Neal). But Carly, who has more than enough in her life, is never without a man around. I was expecting Carly to find out about Joss while Brennan was in the shower but Valentin showing up works too. LOL. That reminded me of a scene in Tamora Pierce's The Realms of the Gods where in the realm you could pinch out a piece of the wall and a chair would instantly form. Maybe Sam got her place from there. She would be blowing up her son's life. If he were looking for her, that's one thing (being on a registry is the best solution), but she doesn't know that he is looking for her and she doesn't have a right to interrupt his life if he isn't. Worse, Gio doesn't even know that he's adopted. Finding out now may be great for him, but it may also be awful and cause him to question everything he knew about his relationship with the woman he knows as his mother and who he is proud of and loves deeply. I don't think that Brook Lynn has any right to do that.
  14. Molly Paeker for you @l star Why Molly Parker loves playing complex characters who've lost everything
  15. Blaze referred to her brother being estranged from Noted Bigot Natalia because of her rejection of him. Given that these writers go for the easy gotcha, he may well be gay.
  16. VH plays drunk very well. Too well -- if this new guy has any moral compass he would turn down the pass from a man who ovbiously is too drunk to know what he is doing. Is Charlotte going to move in with Lulu now, who has moved in with Laura and Ace in the apartment where Lucky has also moved in? How does Kevin (who?) feel about all of Laura's family (except for the one in jail) living wit him?
  17. Matheson got his start modeling. There was a photo floating around a few years ago of his early work in a Sears catalogue modelling underwear. Wouldn't the boundary dispute also be in her purview? That whole thing is ridiculous. Don't you have to file survey reports when you buy land or make a protected area? I'd be up for a Murder on the Orient Express ripoff with Drew in the title role.
  18. Crosby's owner said that he (the dog) was a good ratter so it's most likely that he's had all his shots.
  19. Martin re Drew and the crypt: "You realize that none of this would have happened if she had just given in." want to punch Martin so much right now. No one, whether a rape victim, an abused spouse on invaded country should ever have to hear that. Portia is just terrible. She's willing to throw her husband under the bus to protect herself. It's awful. Everyone is acting like Drew has a right to interfere because he's a Congressman. This should be a municipal issue, or if it's protected land, state. And no one should be forcing the bodies moved until it's gone all the way through the courts. Yes, the Quartermaines are messy. But there are worse family situations. I know one family who adopted a baby girl. A few years later they had a birth child of their own who fit in much better. They tried family therapy with the adopted girl for a couple of months but then decided to surrender her to Children's Aid. If I had given up a child for adoption, I would want to make sure that my child was happy and in a good home even if i didn't revealed myself. It's too messy to have Gio thinking that Violinist Mom, who he loves very much, is his birth mom. Now when Brook Lynn finds out that Gio is her child, she's going to have to agonize whether to tell him and thereby destroy his relationship with Carlotta (?). Just the reveal that Brook Lynn is his birth mother would be enough.
  20. I think that the show has found a good rhythm this season. But I miss Jake. I guess Daniel Gillies had a filming conflict. I likr the new cop Owen but I hope that Jake returns soon. I'm still having trouble connecting with Sunny. I don't feel that I know enough about her
  21. In one of the interview clips on PBS, Horowitz talked about how much he loves Crete. So personal, i guess.
  22. I'm still trying to find a character on this show who I actually like. Certainly not Stuart or Ted's ex. Patton Oswald and Brian Baumgartener were a win though.
  23. @MamaMax, it's a plausible theory and we'll see what the writers have come up with, although deciding in the fifth hour of a new job that one of your bosses is a drug addict seems pretty audacious. If it were emotional dysregulation, wouldn't Santos apologize when people told her that they felt that what she had done was offensive? Instead Santos doubles down on name-calling. The symptoms "having trouble steering your moods, causing you to feel stuck or unable to make yourself feel better, especially with negative moods and emotions like depression, anxiety, etc." and "trouble with emotions interfering with how you pursue goals and achieve desired outcomes" seem to apply to Mel King though. She often has to quote a mantra or listen to music to calm herself down.
  24. I know that politicians these days don't have much shame but isn't Drew concerned about people finding out that he is forcing the removal of his own grandparents? While using the family name to get elected? Nice that the show is finally using Emma's bulldog characteristics in a positive way. How do those very American cops have jurisdiction in Argentina, a foreign country? I am not impressed when Americans think that they can tell other countries what to do. Lois: "Gio's mother passed her talent down to him." How exactly? Considering that she is not his birth mother. Technique can be taught but that's not "passed down". Isaiah is completely wasted on Jordan. The actor is trying so hard, it squicks me out. Lulu was more enjoyable when she was in a coma. What a self-centred cow. Does the show really expect me to ship her with Dante? Brook Lynn had a good point about the agony of knowing that you have a child and not being able to see them. If anyone should know that, it's Lulu. I hope that this isn't the end of Valentn. I know that he's not popular here but I enjoy the craziness he can bring. It sounds like she's been watching reruns of Arrow. Oliver Queen did that stuff really well. What I was trying to say is that I could understand why International Man of Mystery Jack Brennan might be intrigued by Carly since she would be someone different, exotic to him. But Soccer Dad Jack probably knows many women like her.
  25. Honestly, I think that's more twisty than these writers thinks. It would be good though. McKenna seems like a nice guy. Like a soccer dad. But it's just not working for a character who a) is supposed to be in international super spy and b) is captivated by soccer mom Carly. He probably meets a dozen women like her every month.
