  1. I finally had to look up what an esplanade actually is: For example, the boardwalk in Atlantic City. This is as stupid as the Quartermaine crypt. Sonny can move his warehouses somewhere else along the pier, having to move is a deal breaker. But taking down all those warehouses is going to be expensive. There are silos on the waterfront in my city and it would be so expensive to take them down, people are trying to repurpose them instead. The decision should be based on 1. how easy it will be to use for the people of Port Charles and 2. how expensive each location will be. Laura's friendship with Sonny is irrelevant.
  2. The university rejected Dee because they go through the applicant's social media accounts. Why did Dee put her arrest on social media? To me, that seems worse than being at the protest itself. I've subbed for a friend when she had to miss a lecture to her university class but my friend wrote out the lecture points for me following the syllabus and her future exam questions. Vi should not be having to research the lecture herself. Killing women who look like your mother because she fired a housekeeper you were fond of while living with your mother makes no psychological sense.
  3. Add me to the list to those who prefer Will and Angie as very good friends. Angie seems much happier this year with Dr. Seth even if he is more into her than she is into him. I am very glad that the bunny is all right. Yes, the dance sequence was everything. Yes. He's not Will's doctor. Someone (Angie?) said that they were with Child Services.
  4. Six comments. That says it all about the episode. I don't care about about Owen and Teddy and their sexual exploits. They are a very messed up couple. Molly needs therapy more than she needs surgery. Amelia showed more grace to Simone than I would have. She would have been out of my OR for good. And forget about presenting at Grand Rounds.
  5. So Ava has Ric`s car hidden somewhere? As Alexis said, she's broken the chain of custody. And the guy at the yard didn't notice the car being towed away? How stupid do they think viewers are? Curtis had a good point -- Laura should put the location of the esplanade up for a vote except that it should be to council and not a plebiscite. Why wasn't it a council vote in the first place? Natalia thinking that being a lawyer is a downgrade from being a musician says a lot about her. I suppose now we are going to be stuck with Lucas and Marco doing a Nurses Ball musical number together. I can see Lucky and Liz being OTP. But if if I'm supposed to think that Lulu and Dante also are, why are they writing Lulu as being so awful and self-centered?
  6. What did Alexis do that got her disbarred? I know that Neal slept with a former patient, which is a big no-no, but what did Alexi do? They can't. I have no love for Duell but put him up against Burton as a love interest and there is no way Jason would win. That's what I thought too. But then it was dropped and so I thought maybe I'm wrong and Joss fooled him after all. That's SOP for this show. Nina was the villain for reporting the insider trading, Robin was at fault for telling about Michael's paternity. It's on a level with "Michael will lose his children if Willow finds out that Sasha is having his baby." Stupid for plot. Where is Scotty when we need an ambulance chaser?
  7. I'm glad to hear it because presumably everyone will still be there. I was worried that Mel King, Whittaker and Victoria would have moved on if it were a full year later.
  8. I hope that they can find another one for her. Rena Sofer is a good actress but Lois is unnecessary on GH.
  9. Boos today to Lois, Olivia, Lulu and Kristina. Ava would get one too but blackmail is part of her DNA. Lois, if Brook Lynn wanted space from you, you should respect that and not turn up at her home much less sideswipe her. You lied to her and she doesn't want you around right now. Take your punishment and back off. Olivia, it's not your house and you don't get to decide who stays there. it is Brook Lynn's family home which makes it worse that you want Lois to stay even though you can see that Brook Lynn, whose lives there permanently, doesn't want her there. And no, you don't have any tact at all and it's not just because you live with 3 Quartermaines. (Monica is a Quartermaine by marriage and doesn't count.) Lulu, stop pushing at Dante about Brook Lynn. The guy is clueless about what you're talking about. And he thinks that you're the love of his life, which at this point i don't understand at all because you don't match up to Sam in any way right now. All three of them are putting their personal wishes above the wishes of the person that they say they love. Selfish. Kristina needs therapy. She also needs to be help to account for her actions and I'm sorry that while Lucky is saying the words, he's not doing the deed. While Ric would certainly like it, I don't get that feeling at all from Elizabeth. Ric is a friend now, a relationship from the past.
  10. When Sasha gets anywhere near Michael or Carly and their family, she becomes a nitwit. I'd forgotten how awful she was to Nelle who only wanted to be sure that her child would be safe. This is so unbelievably stupid. The baby shares 12.5% of genes with Jason, not 50% so Jason's medical history is not much help if anything goes wrong. And even if infidelity were a reason to lose custody of your children, all they have to do is say that Willow was unfaithful first. Sidwell is underwriting the costs of the Ball itself, the food and drink, costumes and cheap set. It still needs to raise funds for research, so why is Jordan turning down Curtis and Drew's money? Maybe this year they can use the money to supplement AIDS prevention in Africa.
  11. I just can't with Carly's "You're not the boss of me", neither with Jason's "I have to take care of you because you make stupid decisions and get into situations you can't get out of". How does Joss not see how sketchy Brennan and the WSB are? Join the PCPD or the FBI if you want to fight crime. She really is her mother's daughter. Why is Ric's car getting crushed without anyone checking it over to see what caused the crash? Shouldn't the police have contacted the insurance company before sending it to the wrecking yard? I appreciate that Kai wants a second opinion but maybe get one from on orthopedic surgeon rather than an internal medicine doc. Sidwell is underwriting the cost of the Nurses' Ball but isn't it a fundraiser for the hospital? Why is Jordan turning down Drew and Curtis' money? Lucy insisting that everyone in town perform at the Ball whether they have talent or not is why the show is so crappy every year.
  12. Brennan to Carly: "I won't lie to you" while lying to her about both Joss and Michael. I don't remember him being a musician, only that she objected to his sexuality. If Marco really was working for JS & Associates than presumably he knows what a bad person his father is and still is working for him. Will the writers go to this causing conflict with straight-arrow Lucas? That could be worse than Brad and his aunt Selina. It also makes everyone look so stupid to elieve that, especially Sasha. Nina has a good point that Willow moving the kids away from their home and in with Drew while Michael is in hospital is a bad look but Michael sleeping with Sasha? Who cares?🤷🏻‍♀️ Sonny thinking that Sidwell is connected to the hitman because they were both in Africa made me think of this beer ad from 2000: "And I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Susie from Canada although I'm sure they're really nice." Ironically, her husband Carlo Rota is 2 years older than Mo.
  13. If Emma was underage at the time, that sounds illegal. If she didn't have adequate legal representation, it sounds like coercion.
  14. More Sonny propping by Laura. How does she not realize that being seen in public with Sonny looks? Jason, you shouldn't tell Carly no matter who she is with. You know that she is going to grab that baby the minute Sasha stands up to her. Brennan telling Sonny about his stepson Michael but not Michael's mother Carly, and then told her that it had nothing to do with her. As an international agency, the WSB should have no authority over Sonny in Port Charles. Nice acting by Eva LaRue when Sidwell was discussed. Why does Alexis have a picture of Sam with Lucas on her desk rather than Sam with Danny and Scout? So that Marco can look satisfied that he followed Lucas here? The Carly pheromones must have rubbed off on Lucas. Both Carlo Rota and his wife Nazeen Carpenter were in this episode. Family time! I'm with Tracy -- don't "Ma'am" me! JE was wonderful once again. Why did Emma have a day player lawyer? Is that the best that Anna could come up with? Not Diane if not Alexis? Not Scotty? Not even Martin? Great grandparenting there, Anna. I protested against an animal lab when I was in college too, I'm not shocked at Emma. Given today's climate, she probably protested against Israel and that's why the information is sealed. "That begs the question..." was used twice in this episode, both times wrong. It drives me crazy. "Begs the question" means NOT "that prompts the question...". I totally forgot about that. We need him back now! This is all so stupid.
  15. The show likes to pretend that but when you compare Amelia to Owen, Teddy, Mullin (who is jumping into bed with strangers), Winston who is on dating apps and then ghosting the women, Koracick, an even Meredith who went through relationships like used tissue after Derek died, at this point, Amelia is one of the more stable people on this show.
  16. She recognizes that Will is in a very bad place, that he wants to be punished, and that makes him very vulnerable especially to a cult. Making the cult leader a better therapist than Will's therapist is ... a choice?
  17. Prince Charming! I loved that film.
  18. Unfortunately the impression was that Sonny paid for Monica's wing. And not only were Sonny and Carly there but so was Donna. It's next door to money laundering, they get their souls cleansed in exchange for the donation. At least the money was given to the hospital and not the church Godfather-style.
  19. Sonny: "I had a lot of conversations with God in this chapel." Me: They didn't seem to do any good, did they? I hate that so much of this episode is Sonny propping. On that note, is the Nurse's Ball the whitewashing mechanism of the show? First it was Sonny, now Sidwell is going to underwrite it. There are hundreds of nurses in a hospital the size of GH. How did Maxie afford all those gift bags? I'm glad that Monica got the new wing named after her but with Leslie Charlson gone, I'm wondering how long Monica is going to be up in her room off-screen. I have an image of a mummified Monica lying on her bed while family members visit and talk to her. Seeing Lila's picture on the wall reminded me that I saw Anna Lee last week opposite Boris Karloff in Bedlam. She was good. This show really done her wrong. Liz said that she was going to take a ride share because Aiden has her car. Is he old enough for a driver's license? (This is something that really bugs me, that everyone on the show, no matter how wealthy e.g. Joss, always takes ride shares. What about the taxi drivers who have invested thousands of dollars into the taxi ticket and are just trying to make a living? In my city a taxi license used to cost $360,000 (a large investment by the taxi owner), now it's a quarter of that and taxi drivers are struggling.)
  20. There better be a big donation coming from him. Edited to facepalm because of course the anonymous donor is ...
  21. Maybe more than I, I can't quite remember. But it's not up to Santos to decide which orders she follows and which are too "boring". To be fair, he is a teenage boy. Not being aware of what is going on for other people is SOP.
  22. Soliski is dead. Are we getting a crossover with Law & Order: Toronto? They are both on CITY TV. Maybe Young & Munroe can pursue Sonny and Jason to Port Charles and finally catch them. I'm impressed how quickly Lucky protected Kristina and told her to pretend that she never was there. Luke's son for sure. But now that he knows Elizabeth got hurt ... I like that Emma called out Anna. About time. It's ironic that Emma brought up Robin's HIV because AIDS is about to get worse now that USAID is no longer providing treatment or prevention. Poor Alexis is having a bad day. Drew was being a pooh head around Scout, who he's using as an object to get Willow, and then having to go to the hospital for Molly. I did like the line about not trying out a new family like trying out a tie. And there is no way that 6 year old Wylie and baby Amelia are in any way a replacement for Danny and Rocco any more than Willow is for Sam. What would be best for Scout is to stay with the Quartermaines with Danny and Rocco for as long as Lulu let's him but Drew needs her to reel Willow in. GH timeline: At Ava's presumably after leaving Alexis' office, Rick tells her that he just made a truce with Alexis and doesn't want to spoil it by Kristina finding him there. At Charlie's Molly told Kristina that the truce has been on for a couple of days now. Where did those days slip in?
  23. Mickey and Kacey suggested that Ahearn was in on it since he was friends with both Lafferty and Jimmy. But even if he weren't and only knew about what Lafferty was doing, it would be smart to get Lafferty away from Mickey when she started looking deeper into the ODs. She's smart and she cared about the women so the odds were good that she was going to figure out that Lafferty was involved. To protect Lafferty and himself, Ahearn would have agreed to let Mickey drop Lafferty. Emily/Melissa told Kacey that the murderer is Mickey's partner. Kacey told Mickey that it's Truman because that is who she thought Mickey's partner was. After Mickey blew up her relationship with Truman, she went back to Kacey and pressed her for Emily's exact words. As soon as she heard the word "partner", she figured out that it was Lafferty and called Detective Danjarat who checked out Lafferty's place and found the insulin. In the last scene with Danjarat, they are talking about IA investigating Ahearn. Ahearn was denying that he had anything to do with the drugs. Mickey suggested to Danjarat that he may be willing to talk in exchange for a plea deal.
  24. King was put in charge of an area (yellow?) with Santos and Whittaker under her. Yes, Santos repeatedly ignored what King told her. At one point Santos finished with the patient and asked what's next. Mohan (3rd year) told her to monitor the patient that they had just brought back with Narcan. Santos replied "Boring" and went off to look for something more exciting. Santos is, in the parlance of my youth, "a cowboy". More an adrenaline junkie than Langdon who at least will treat everyone who needs treatment. She wants to fly before she can walk and she wants the glory of being the top. It's unfortunate that Abbott reinforced her because while it was a kickass job that she did, Santos is going to hurt someone skipping steps the way she does. This episode felt longer than the last one even though technically it was shorter. I liked that the woman with the arm injury even though her actual injury was not so bad was in shock. The WWI term "shell shocked" is a good descriptor. That would have been a much better way to have handled it, although I can understand that she was too stressed to be able to think outside the box like that. (Also I don't trust that one of the cops wouldn't have arrested her on the spot.)
  25. I'm getting tired of so many characters using sex as a drug when they're felling bad. I know that it started from the pilot episode but after 21 seasons, it's a very tired trope. I also never understand how the research stuff on this show works because it has nothing to do with how real life works+. Do they pull it out of their hats? Meredith published the research so Koracick could use it as a jumping off point but it was still Meredith and Amelia's research. That should count for something when deciding who gets money for further research. The problems with research on males only has been well known since Carol Tavris published Mismeasure of Woman: Why Women are Not the Better Sex, the Inferior Sex, or the Opposite Sex in 1992 so no one should have been surprised that Meredith was offended that Koracik was using only male mice. Koracik is studying mice, Meredith and Amelia were going to do a retrospective human study (if I understand correctly). Why not fund partially? Neither can be that much money, not like a drug trial. The irony is that in March 2025, Meredith's study on female mice would be considered DEI and not eligible for federal funding money and probably rejected by private.
