  1. So they can blame Nina for abandoning her employees. They will all love Carly for being loyal to them in contrast to sellout Nina. DON'T PUT IT OUT THERE!!!! No, but neither did Michael when he took over ELQ and he is just the most brilliant CEO ever. All hail the Carlys. This show sucks.
  2. Drew said that if Nina didn't resign, he would close Crimson and all the employees would lose their jobs. So Nina resigned so that they would keep their jobs and then Drew said that he was never going to do that, he only threatened to to make Nina quit. He said that he's already hired a new editor and Carly waltzes in. Drew really has become a turd. THIS. Nina needs to create a new magazine that burns Crimson to the ground and Drew learns what it's really like to lose his money. But of course, the show will never do this. Barely literate Carly will be the best editor evah.
  3. I miss the days when I could sit down to this show and spend an hour defragging. Now it induces rage attacks. The only good part of today's episode was Laura reading Spencer for filth. Thank goodness someone isn't following Carly's lead. Carly: "Bobbie also gave people second chances. Maybe that's what we should be doing for Drew." [unspoken: but never Nina. We must never give Nina any chances.] I wish Nina would say "I've had enough of being blackmailed" and stick to her guns. Agreeing to resign to save her employees shows that she is 1000X better than Carly. Of course Carly, who is barely literate, is going to run a first class magazine now that she has improved Bobbie's. And after Nina resigns to save her staff, Drew accuses her of doing it so that she can play the victim. Drew has become as treacherous as Carly. She's a true succubus. Spencer says that Ace can't be raised by a psychopath so he gave him to a sociopath instead. But now that he can go to France with Trina, to hell with Ace's welfare. This does not make me like Sprina more. I HATE this Adam storyline with the passion of a thousand suns. Dex saying that Adam loves his parents and feels bad because he disappointed them, Portia not telling the dad that he has no authority to throw Joss out, all the platitudes everyone says ... this is the opposite of a mental health PSA. He is appealing to the lowest denominator, the ones with the knee-jerk reactions loving thug Sonny and wanting Carly and her minions to humiliate Nina again and again. He gets enough reaction to keep the show going but not make it good. Although Spencer has even less education than sainted Michael does. The fortune with melt away.
  4. Episode 4x10 "Never Too Late To Start Again" Series finale.
  5. Esmè going to Cyrus for help was a swerve I didn't expect but I like it. Much better than going to Heather or trying to do it on her own. I'm mildly interested how Laura will react when she finds out. If it were Carly, she would be fine with her on-the-lam son kidnapping her grandchild. After all, it took her two breaths to absolve Michael for keeping the secret of Nina. Most of the episode spent beating up on Nina yet again. ZZzzzzzzzz😴 TJ/Jordan and Kristina/Blaze were almost as boring. Today Michael to Carly: "Wiley was playing with the truck Nina gave him and it was all I could do not to throw it out the window." Yeah, super mature parenting there.
  6. This show doesn't do villains well. Other than the old pros like Allie Mills and Jon Lindstrom playing Heather and Ryan, they are very ine note and exist only to cause trouble for Our Heroes . Julian was a bust and Jeff Kober can't make Cyrus much more than the person everyone hates. I also really hate that characters who are the villains had bad childhoods (Ryan, Cyrus, Esme even Nina's coma) but the show doesn't give them a break for that). It works though. Blue eyes are a recessive trait and both GF and Allie Mills have blue eyes. It's blue-eyed parents who cannot have a brown-eyed child.
  7. Already done -- Nina trying to give Carly back the MetroCourt for free and everyone saying she only did it to clear her conscience. Nina cannot win with these writers. Nor can Esme. Or Tracy. The "Carlys must always win" kind of deal. Ned should never have given have given the proxy back. He should have kept it as compensation for his pain and suffering for being constantly unfairly attacked .
  8. Run Nina, run. Willow is yelling at you for telling the truth now and her smug self-righteousness is off the charts. Sonny hates you for reporting a crime, and everyone blames you because Carly and Drew got consequences for their actions. I hate that Nina has to grovel to these low lifes. I'm sure Carly will forgive Michael at the start of the next episode. Keeping Nina from Willow is what she herself did after all. "Drew, the man who saved my life." Barf Drew enabled you and Liesl to save Willow's life. which I am now thinking is a big mistake. The show doesn't need any more water carriers for the Carlys. Spemcer accuses Esme of blowing up his life, No, Spencer, that would be you. Take responsibility for your actions. Then Spencer blackmails Esme after kidnapping her son. Liz think that the other doctor should break medical ethics because Finn is nice man. A+ misogynism, show.
  9. I thought I recognized her. It doesn't feel right that the grandmother should go to jail since she was protecting her granddaughter. She tried to do it by the law and the CPS worker failed her. I find it hard to believe the teenage Gabi had memorized all that Shakespeare no matter how smart she was. I didn't mind that the scene where Gabi told them about "Sir" was silent, the director was going for effect. Or it may be because i am so over all the Sir story.
  10. I really hope Laura returns home soon to hear Spencer tell Esme that he let Nik take Ace and Laura rains hellfire on him. And then I want Esme to head to the police station and charge Nik with kidnapping and Spencer with aiding and abetting. Spencer can spend NC's absence in jail. Joss: "What am I going to tell Adam when he wakes up?" Me: how about explain how you got his guitar stolen because you brought it to his hospital room. This plot is all about Carly J. Brave&Strong and I. Don't. Care. Carly telling Joss that Adam's parents probably have his best interests at heart... hello? Remember Frank Benson selling Nelle's kidney? Whatever Adam's parents are like, it will be an anticlimax. And if they are the nice, normal people it will be worse because there are some very toxic parents out there and teenage viewers don't need to be told it's all in their heads. This Finn stuff is so stupid. No, I don't feel sorry for him show. I guess co-chiefs of staff at GH have the same level of competency as the PCPD. Between Jordan and Portia, Curtis can really pick 'em. I'm back to hating Sonny again. No, if Cyrus dies it won't be all over, you will be facing a murder charge. Of course Sonny blames Cyrus for the fact that Sonny beat him up. Sonny's actions are never Sonny's fault. Spencer has spent years angry at Nik for abandoning him. And now that he has the chance to go to Paris with his girlfriend, he is fine with Ace losing the mother who has raised him and taken care of him to go off with the deadbeat father and is not longer worried about Ace losing all the important people in his life. Like father, like son.
  11. When Amira is in college, absolutely. He is so protective of her, father and mother both, I don't see him leaving her at this point.
  12. Kristina; "You're so much better than your reputation says." Personally I think his reputation is much better than he deserves. This show is proving that Jason doesn't need to be on for it to be crap. It's becoming unwatchable again as one again the criminals are glorified and the scapegoats endlessly bullied. I know that Nik is Laura's son but if I were her, if he absconds with Ace I would be raining hellfire on him. I remember what it was like to parent a infant and I had help -- Esme being a good single mother requires an enormous effort and no one other than Laura and occasionally Spencer gives her credit for it. Nik already screwed up one son, even as his mother I would not excuse him stealing the other one. Is this how NC is getting time off the show? Now that Sonny is a lost cause again, I could get behind Nina/Cyrus. Didn't Chad Duell have a baby recently? Maybe Michael is backburnered for paternity leave. With the old writers back and evil is good again, I can't see them getting rid of Duell. The point of PC's legal system seems to be to exonerate Sonny and his loved ones from the crimes that they actually commit. Aren't lawyers supposed to put aside whether they think their clients are guilty or innocent and defend them to the best of their ability? Diane expecting Robert to give Sonny/Jason/Carly/Dex a pass because of who they are is the opposite of that.
  13. I hope that Bash doesn't take the job at the hospital. It seems like there has been so much pain there, I'd like to see him have a fresh start, maybe opening up a practice with Theo.
  14. For all your media needs
  15. The show remains great quality. But everyone is so sad! My heart broke for Bash multiple times in the episode but especially when Mags' mother deflected her grief on to him in anger and when Bishop tried logic him into forgiving himself. I feel awful for Theo too, unable to comfort Bash and so broken that he cried in his father's arms. I'm worried about June; is she going to start cutting again? She's losing all her support systems just when she needs them most. And the flashbacks to season 1 killed me. I tried to go back and watch the first episode of the show again but alas, it's no longer available On Demand. The show has a lot of work to do to leave everyone in a good place at the end of the next episode. Hey Joseph Kay -- Sullivan's Travels is a good lesson to learn.
  16. Sonny says that Cyrus brought the cops into a situation that should have been between us" (I.e. beating him into a coma) and now he wants Dex to kill him. Yes, the old writers are back. Oh, and Nina thinks that Cyrus deserved it. Sonny: "I need loyal men by my said. Are you loyal or not?" Loyal is one thing, Sonny. Stupid is another. I guess Sonny has never watched an episode of Law & Order or any other Dick Wolfe show The scene between Diane and Robert exemplifies why I had her in Lawyer Mode. Cyrus because a criminal is irrelevant, Sonny committed a criminal act. And even with Cyrus' record, put him on the stand against Sonny and I'd bet that he will be more sympathetic than Sonny. Robert can try the case on it's merits -- Sonny beat up Cyrus to a coma. I appreciate the problems with shooting a hospital scene but don't people who have had back surgery have to lie on their stomachs to heal? Especially with a surgery like that. Joss: "Problems with your parents can be tough but they're not insurmountable." Joss' privilege blinds her. I hate how they are writing the Adam story. 70% of young adults reported having mental health difficulties in a recent study so it should be a PSA but Joss is acting like all Adam needs to do it talk to his parents and it will be okay.
  17. The new season 3 thread is here.
  18. Now that we can have multiple topics for Transplant, we can have the General Discussion thread for seasons 1 and 2 as well as general discussion and separate topics for seasons 3 and 4 to avoid spoilers. I will migrate season 3 and 4 posts from the General thread to their own season. It's tricky though so if I make mistake, so please bear with me. If you have any suggestions for the forum, let me know. Statsgirl
  19. Episode 4x9 "Who is Mags?" I was very much hoping that Mags' death was a fake-out or a nightmare, or anything but that she really died. The show was originally only one thread. With the changes to the board the last week, we can have multiple threads now. I've created a season 3 thread and I'll migrate the season 3 comments to it as I have time.
  20. Vienna Blood has been renewed for season 4 and now that each show can have multiple threads, it's time to have a dedicated thread for the new season.
  21. Kevin is a psychiatrist so he would be all about making people better and dealing with traumas and problem behaviour. If anyone would want to help Esme be healthy, it would be him. Also, if I am remembering correctly, Kevin felt some guilt because he got to be the one raised by the sane parent and Ryan had to go with the abusive one which contributed greatly to his problems. For that he should also want to help Esme. So it doesn't make any sense that Kevin isn't involved in this story about his niece and her amnesia and abandonment consequences. ETA: I heard that JL wrote a book. Maybe he's on a book tour?
  22. If Felicia needs to be the one going to Amsterdam to help Carly with Bobbie's things, it underlines how few real friends Carly has. I've realized that I can only get through Sonny/Carly scenes is by muting the sound. Did we really need to have matching Gregory/Alexis/Marshall/Stella "I shouldn't have kissed/hugged you" scenes? That only works if there is something enlightening from them. Personally, if I were Alexis, I'd have a fling with Gregory. It's not lie there are other men available. But it's criminal that Nina got between Sonny and Carly. Carly wants all of her exes alone and pining for her. That logic only works for Sonny "Cyrus is a bad man so Sonny should get off for beating him into a coma" Corinthos. Pregnant Esme was kidnapped and held captive at Wyndermere for months. Liz got off scott free for helping Nik but I'm sure that Esme is going to have to pay majorly for trying to get back her memories. Laura needs to call Martin for Esme stat. Vindictive of Ava to want to separate Esme from Ace considering she "killed" Nik for saying he would take Avery from her. Today's show rates a C for hypocrisy so better than average.
  23. In the vein of "it's Nina's fault that Sonny beat up Cyrus and has to sit in a claustrophobic jail cell' (although it seems to me that all of PC's jail cells are open to people talking to each other through the bars), Michael was actually protecting Carly because raging at Nina would have caused her blood pressure to go higher and led to a stroke. So good work there, Michael, caring for your mother. Good point, I'd forgotten about that. But they should have just dropped it and used the time for Bobbie flashbacks.
