I have bided my time with forming an opinion on the new regime but after today's episode my only thought is "Who writes this crap?" The scenes themselves may be better paced by the storylines are utter garbage: Alexis, you are the paper's editor. It is your responsibility to read what your reporters are writing and okay or nix it. So stop putting the blame for the article on Nina, who by the way as publisher has every right to tell you the direction to run the paper. Alexis at the Invader was interesting. Alexis working with Diane, an awful character, to let criminal off the hook, is fast forward material. Reporting on Sonny and his lawyer does not come under "gossip column". Why isn't Marshall using voice-to-text? In 2024 there is no reason for him to type out his articles much less to need Finn to. A retired doctor has every right to privacy. His former workplace should not give out his address to any voice on the phone without a signed consent form from both Braddock and Marshall. Marshall's medical condition was in line with what we knew about schizophrenia 40 years ago. In 1982 medical schools were still teaching the double bind theory of schizophrenia i.e that it was caused by a cold mother. Marshall, if you have a problem about the cost of your treatment, blame it on the US medical system. In Canada you wouldn't have had to pay for the ECT and much less for the drugs. Way to push white privilege show: Heather gets to have her crazy diagnosed on a physical condition; Marshall's condition is caused by racist doctoring. The way this is being written is a disservice to minority communities. Joss remains a huge bitch. What are you 5, that you refuse to pass Dex the box so he can pack? Nina is worse than even MS Nina days to justify everyone hating her, something I am not the least bit interested in. Add this to yesterday's episode in which all of Jason's sins are absolved and Carly is showing her true love for him plus Jagger, the first interesting new character in years, is most likely going to turn out to be the villain to whitewash Jason, I don't see anything coming up that is worth my time.

Interesting that Laura thinks that losing Ace pushed Esme over the edge (and lampshading that they didn't write Esme with any subtlety). It could be a way back for the character in the future. Spencer acknowledges that Nik wasn't the best father and hopes that he does better with Ace. Idiot, why did you give a baby to your sociopath father? I hope that Trina's time in Paris inspires her to try something more interesting than chicken in a wine sauce. Curtis' angst is still Zzzzzzz. Sorry Stella, feeling sorry for himself is exactly like Curtis. American police officers searching an apartment in a foreign country is offensive. I wasn't paying much attention because it's Brick but I think that he said that the gun that shot Austin was from the WSB stash as the one that shot Curtis. But that doesn't make sense. Finn is being stupid. If Muldoon told his wife to sue, then she's innocent of knowing that it's fraud. What Finn is proposing, to not fight the charge even though he knows it was a set-up, is his fraud against the insurance company. I hate to defend the writing but it's possible that her old passport is still valid.

The entire show is in danger of needing to be renamed "Carly's World". Especially in a city where 11 years after a cop shot a civilian and the inquest is again going on. Same here. She's had too many bad breaks and betrayals for me to blame her for all her misfortunes. While Facebook is Carly Squad, many people on twitter are defending Nina saying that she was right to report and the crimes were on Carly and Drew. But while it's nice to acknowledge that there were victims other than Carly, is this idea something that is going to be dropped now that they've acknowledged it, or will there be actual follow-through? If it is the latter, I'm betting that it will be to Drew and Teflon Carly will be free and clear once again.

She should, as an exchange student. And she should be having the exchange student experience not whatever this champagne and concierge thing that Spencer is doing. For all his money and title (how does an illegitimate line carry the title?) Spencer doesn't seem much of a prize. He's judgmental and he's now done nothing but be idle for two years now. He's in Paris, he could perfect his French. he could take some history or literature courses, he could study at Le Cordon Bleu. But no, he's going to hang around doing nothing and dand distract Trina from her studies. I'm curious if the writing going to have consequences for Carly and Drew or if it's just a throw-away to mollify the people who think that Nina was right (there are a lot of them on twitter). As we've said here, it should have been an Aurora investor who called the SEC, not Nina. I see your point but Nina has to do something. How can she have any self-respect if she just rolls over and let']\\s Drew and Carly not just walk all over her but destroy her important relationships? Hard to decide which is a worse relationship, Jordan/Brick or Robert/Diane. Maybe we could interest Brick in Diane, they both put love of Sonny over the law or ethics.

Jordan is another character who is just used to prop other storylines. Even this potential one with Brick is going to be about Brick, not her. Smith was trying to turn on all the charm in his scenes with Brick being attracted to Jordan but it just looked slimey. And was recruited back when the company needed him again. I'm supposed to hate Esme herebut who I'm really hating is Spencer (and Nik of course). Esme may be a terrible person but she took good care of Ace for a year and she appears to love him, No matter what she did to Joss, Cam and Trina, she does not deserve to lose her child and certainly not to a sociopath. Let the punishment fit the crime. Spencer throwing his money around like Prince Charming to Trina's Cinderella is just gross.

Esme heads to Toronto, just in time for the premiere of Law & Order: Toronto which while an NBC show, is broadcast on the same Toronto station as GH. What did Jordan do to be forced into a relationship with Brick? Ick x 1000. Sonny tells Kristina about the wonders and challenges of having a child. Huh? Sonny has never been pregnant and as soon as the baby is born, Kristina will habd it to Molly and TJ. So nothing that Sonny can tell her is of any consequence. Today's episode: Diane defends paterfamilias Sonny who as Robert pointed out, is an actual murdering criminal and Sonny's friends and family rag on how terrible Esme is who has yet to actually kill anyone. Nice hypocrisy, show. Esme didn't know that. Laura, Spencer, Cyrus and Heather have all let her down. She doesn't trust anyone in PC right now.

I assumed that Esme was going after Nik to get Ace back. If she goes to Paris unstead to torture Spencer, then yes, they are writing her as a ine note character.

My guess is she's going to become the new Julian. Heaven forbid they actually write a character with nuance.

I see it this as a test of Laura. Will she understand that Heather is completely delusional, or will she take Heather's word for what Esme wants?

Only slight sympathy for Kevin, too little, too late. He should have gotten involved much earlier It's such shoddy writing to make me hate Esme and be on the side of Spencer and Trina. Too bad, it doesn't work for me. Do we really need to see Spinelli being pissy because of jealousy over Maxie? I went through riding camp wearing running shoes.

I would love it if instead of Aurora taking over ELQ and booting Valentin out, Valentin and Nina took over Aurora and booted Drew and Michael out. Sure, Willow would be angry at her but at this point Nina has nothing to lose.

Drew was an asshole to anyone who didn't adore Carly before prison but the rage and the physical threats to women are new. Dante said under New York law, one parent can take the child out of the country. (This would be illegal in Canada unless he had signed authorization from the mother.) I can understand Esme putting Nik's name on the birth certificate. She had amnesia, she was confused and alone and everyone was telling her that Nik is the father. But if she did put Nik's name on it, why isn't she getting support for Ace from the Cassadine estate? Lol that we are still talking about yesterday's episode because in today's, the most interesting thing was Jordan telling Anna about her kidnapping. All of Curtis' family talking about supporting him was filler as was Finn at his AA group. You can ask Obrecht what she did when she lost her license to practice -- she went into research and communication. Didn't you discover a cure for [made up disease] Finn? You can do more of that. Lucy/Martin was a good relationship but it's now tanked JE is always good but this Scott/Tracy story sends me to sleep as does BLQ and Chase axe-throwing. Did I miss something interesting?

That seems like a retcon to me to justify Carly accusing Nina of eavesdropping.

Has any male character survived being Carly's lover? Especially LW's Carly. Laura has her head on straight enough to be aware that it's not good for Ace to be in Nik's possession. Alexis not so much, she told Esme that she didn't trust her at all so I doubt she would want to help her.

I remember being excited when Lucky Gold joined the writing staff because I liked his work on GL. And while his episodes are well-written, the show remained the Carly/Sonny/Michael worshipping mess that it was before and that's what his episodes show. I will see in March if there is a new direction but the Carly in the episodes that Korte writes is some of the most vile Carly there is.

Carly has very little self-awareness, and every time she does demonstrate a little, the show tells her that she's wrong to limit herself like that. If this were real life, it would be abuse.

I understand her thinking. She does remember now so she may slip up again. Everyone tells her how awful she was and that she MUST. BE. PUNISHED. for it In New York, the maximum is one year in jail so I would risk it but this show doesn't follow actual laws. Also Laura convinced Esme to admit to breaking into Ava's house by saying that she wouldn't have consequences and that proved to be false so Esme has no reason to trust Laura now either. If it were me, I would go to the police and draw on being kidnapped and held by Nik and get him removed as a parent who has custody. But really, the show wants her out for vengeance because that's the only thing they know what to do with her. I read on Twitter that Carly had no experience in hotel management and she made the Metro Court a success. (She also made Bobbie's a roaring success by adding flowers to the tables) so she will be a brilliant editor at Crimson. (Why did I bother paying for an education when I could just step into a senior management role like Carly does?) Maxie would be a better editor than Carly because she has at least some experience but Drew's brain has been extracted and he thinks that Carly is the be-all and end-all. I'm hoping for Nina to take the high road and start a media company that buries Aurora.

Of course she is [tm Daniel Jackson]. Probably the old writers didn't prop Carly enough .

Carly to Nina: "It's entirely legal for Drew to fire you." Actually, no, the whistleblower law protect her. But this is Carly, who thought that buying all that Aurora stock. That bodes well for Aurora. Meanwhile Dante says Nik is legally not kidnapping Ace. Why does this show like to beat up on people who are already down? It's not pleasant to watch. Carly: "I agreed to be Crimson's editor in chief so that I could see Nina's face when I took something that she loved." Carly, you have done nothing but take away things that Nina loved. Olivia is the only decent person in Nina's story, Laura in Ace's kidnapping. Clever of Laura to think that if Esme has regained her memory, she would rain down hellfire on Spencer and Nik Go Esme, go! I hope that Nina burns Aurora down. Carly always was a social climber par excellance.

It occurred to me that Drew fired the editor who made Crimson Aurora's biggest asset and is replacing her with a woman whose only experience if magazines is reading them at the beauty parlour (most likely). On top of the insider trading conviction. How has the board not got rid of Drew yet? Or at least dumped their stocks in this mess of a company ?

They said that there would be a financial penalty. Novak got the hospital lawyers to get her out of the contract in exchange for stepping back from being the co-head of the emergency department.

The Carly stans will do it for him. I don't think that you need to worry @Laina, at least not in the immediate future. Jason is for Carly, that's why they are tanking Drew as a character. I noticed that, probably so that the dad can bully Adam out of it. One dimensional villain. Portia really isn't all that great at the non-medical parts of being a doctor.

This show is a pleasant surprise. The leads are solid and the stories are interesting. This one was twisty enough to always surprise me. The trope is old but I gotta say, I prefer Max as a consultant to Richard Castle.

I don't know what Esme wrote on the birth certificate. If she wrote Nik's name on it, she should be able to get funds from the Cassadine estate for support and she isn't. I don't know US law but it is illegal in Canada for one parent to take a child out of the country without written permission from the other parent. It is stupid. And easily solved by asking someone with medical experience. Finn would have signed off to another ER doc when he went off shift (highly unlikely that it would be to the co-chief of staff/internal medicine specialist though). Adam should have been assessed by the psych attending or resident who would then decide if he needed to be admitted and be the doctor of record.

She thought that Michael, as a hard-headed Quartermaine (lol) would be opposed to Drew tanking the prime Aurora acquisition just to mess with Nina. She didn't know that Drew was lying when he said that he would fire everyone if she didn't resign. And on top of those, for all that Spencer keeps calling Esme a psychopath (she's not), Nik is a proven sociopath. I don't know what they're trying to do with this because this is the worst that Spencer has ever been.
