  1. I was actually surprised he picked it. The comments were preachy and cheesy and yet he picked it. Did he really just want the "We Need Love" hook? Yes, it was better, but it was still a terrible song. Ollie's was much better, I would also have taken the German guy's song - but with less "improvement."
  2. Maybe she was hoping if Russ still had his crappy job in Miami he would be staying home with the baby while she went out with her friends - the REAL reason she didn't want to go back to OK.
  3. This. The first box might be fun but after a while it becomes "How many different hair products can one person possibly use, or the entire cast of CATS in its however many years run couldn't use this much make-up." Pretty soon you'll be known as that person who always gives crap you got in a box for every occasion.
  4. That fire has been around so long pretty soon it will be considered a legacy character. Soon its children and long lost lovers will begin to show up in Salem. It will fall madly in love with Marlena and try to kill John. It will then be reformed and open a new restaurant which all the residents of Salem will patronize (after it has been suspected of burning down Doug's Place of course.)
  5. They always do this on soaps. Someone finds a trunk full of old clothes and not only are they immaculately preserved, they fit perfectly. Eli did the same thing with Tripp when he was trying to find out who was on the phone. He's learning the traditions of the Salem PD very well. They get a vague suspicion and harass the shit out of someone - I remember years ago Roman doing that to Kate. Even if someone actually did what they are accused of I would rather see them tripped up through their own actions than by the fact that they were hounded to death by the PD.
  6. I believe you mean "Be an entrepreneur."
  7. You are SO right. The "sobbier" the story the more the judges tell the person they are great. Am I supposed to like some no talent performer because they have a pathetic story and conversely, am I NOT supposed to like a talented performer because they did not face "adversity"? Does that mean that if that Monkey person had had a sob story they would have put him through?
  8. I think you're supposed to think the sparkly shit looks like diamonds. That's all I got. She can't possibly be trying to compare contact paper nails with Italian fashion can she?
  9. You guys aren't GETTING it! Mykelti is being quirky and creative! Her favorite "outfit" is a coffee cup and sparkly contact paper nails, Must I explain EVERYTHING? And yes, her nails WERE done with that shit - she's trying to sell it after all.
  10. How many different kinds of crap is this woman going to shill? Diarrhea tea, contact paper nails, over-priced subscription boxes full of stuff you don't want. What's next?
  11. But he is following in the great Salem tradition of threatening and false arrest.
  12. Lottery is based on 20 year payout - this is 40 year payout and AGT gets to pick the interest rate. MIGHT get to 250K but might not. Either way no where NEAR a million dollars.
  13. Nope, never gonna happen. He is now in the perfect position to get another American sucker who is "big a little bit." All she has to do is prove she is not lazy, respects his traditions, and not get violent with him when he angers her - i.e. basically be Not Nicole. SHE will be the nice one. She will be the one he marries. I'm assuming the woman he was recorded saying he wanted to kiss is another fish he has convinced he really wants to be with - he is just obligated to do this filming (playing his role, only for TV) because he needs to support his family. He can keep this up for years if he plays his cards right. He's never going to marry any of them.
  14. I hate, hate, HATE that they ALWAYS spew on about "What are you going to do if you win a million dollars?" The show pays it out over 40 YEARS! That's right, a whopping $25,000 per year. While this is a nice sum of money, and I would never complain if someone chose to give it to me, this is NOT enough money to retire on (looking at you Human Fuze.) This show is to only to gain exposure for your act - not set you up for life. I agree, I too hate danger acts. On the rare occasions they go "wrong" the person gets minor injury and the trick falls flat. They then give the person a chance to "redeem" themselves by doing the same trick correctly.
  15. Yes, I'm sure there were no beds or any other furniture there.
  16. I think she was implying that Azan would have to be the one to get the information on the "foreigner school." God knows she'd never make the effort.
  17. Of course there are. Pao just wants to be in Miami.
  18. I don't believe for an instant that Russ's family did not accept Pao. I think she was using it as an excuse to move to where she wanted - which was Miami. She kept up contact with the nasty Juan (if she would have been embarrassed about her situation with anyone it would have been him) she just didn't want to bother with her family.
  19. I get it if you are coming home from a vacation and most of your options are eating out. More restaurant meals usually means "treating" yourself - especially if you are vacationing somewhere they have food you aren't usually exposed to at home. You may want to eat simply for a few days (in my case - eat smaller/lighter meals). BUT, I agree, this is total BS if you are coming back from babysitting your grandchild, or a 1 or 2 day trip somewhere. Unless you start eating the minute you pull out of the driveway, your routine shouldn't have changed enough to even be noticeable.
  20. Russ has the opportunity to make MORE money than in Miami, WHILE living in a cheaper city. It will not even out. He also had opportunities in Seattle that she refused to even consider. He went to Miami because Pao insisted that's where she was going to go. Just because he took a lesser job to make her happy does not mean he should be stuck in it for the rest of his life. He has caved to her EVERY time. She does not know the meaning of compromise. She certainly didn't "act right" with the family during their last visit and his family did NOT 'gang up" on her. They tried so hard to be nice to her and she just behaved like a selfish brat.
  21. Lulano names all there clothes after generic women's names. Liv is probably the name of the t-shirt.
  22. Yes, like a lot of you, not thrilled Gwen is back. Her whole thing was telling contestants how she wanted to dress them up and give them a make-over. I get that they want the "whole package" but has anyone really said, "I'm sorry, I can't vote for that person because, while they are the best singer in the competition, they wear crappy clothes and don't have good hair?" But you're right, Gwen probably is the best they could do last minute. The Powers That Be.
  23. Except Andrei described her as a recruiter - not the boss/owner. I understand what you are saying, but, while I do think she is a naturally put together person, I also think her look was more formal than normal.
