So Smith Island is close enough Salem city services can clear the bridge but somehow they have a raging snow storm while everyone in Salem is walking around in short sleeves? Is there some sort of line where the temperature drops 40 degrees when you cross it? And is Paulina thinking she is just so full of hot air that she'll personally plow a path across the bridge by screeching at the snow? Otherwise, yup, go find your daughter and put her at risk of developing serious side-effects from YOUR radiation. Mother love at its finest I'd say.

So how far away is Smith Island supposed to be? I always had the impression it was only about an hour or two away. (Given that everyone always gets there in record time, except when the ferry isn't runnting.) But somehow, Smith Island has snow while in Salem everyone is walking around without even a jacket? And somehow, wood laying around in the open is dryer than the wood in the middle of a stack - you know just under the wet wood? Yup, the continuity on this show is great as always. It's amazing that given how riveting the plot was today, I even had time to notice.

Yes, round 8,324 of the revolving door that is the Dimera CEO position. Can someone (anyone) pop up out of nowhere, claim they are a long lost Dimera and take over the company once and for all? They can then leave Salem forever so we're NEVER subjected to this again.

Clearly I don't know your cousin's circumstances. Mr. Cat has a green card. He got a conditional one about a month after we were married. Two years later we had to prove we were in a "real" marriage - i.e. property in common, a lease in both our names, things like that. He was then issued a permanent green card. It was right after they changed the requirement that you had to be married for two years for the green card to be permanent - apparently before that it was good from the get go - the immigration agent told us that it was changed because there were a LOT of marriage for money scams going on previously.

As long as Maggie thinks it is a real marriage and they stay married for 2 years Konstantin can still get a green card. The only thing really different is the amount of time you have to be married.

Especially since (repeat #463) they were in there for DAYS (weeks?) with no bathroom. I would think they would have passed out from the stench even before Goldman cut off their air supply - certainly NOT a good setting for romance/declarations of lasting love. Seriously, at least when they had Ciara playing long distance Romeo and Juliet with Ben she had a bathroom.

I don't really believe Holly is an addict - she was experimenting and pretty much acting like a stupid teenager - you know the ones who think they are immortal and no harm will ever come to them. I do agree that there should be consequences for Holly but it isn't really reasonable to think her own stepfather would suddenly turn on her and have her arrested. And her mother certainly isn't going to suggest it. I do think it's good that Brady got to say what everyone was thinking. I'm actually surprised that Eric didn't try to stop him from saying it and try to convince him that everything is now over and since Tate didn't really suffer lasting damage Holly should just be allowed to slide. Basically saying that her guilt is suffering enough or some such bullshit. But that will probably come from multiple sources. Yes, that REALLY isn't Nicole - she should have at least been pissed at her daughter for doing something so awful to Tate rather than simply buying her stupid excuse. But, as mentioned above, she really was more concerned with the fact that Holly told Eric before she told Nicole.

Yes, of ALL the spoilers, this is the one I'm looking forward to the most!! It's right up there with bitchy Paulina!!

Except that apparently Holly is the ONLY teen age girl to exist in Salem. Tate really doesn't have a choice unless he wants to try a long distance relationship.

I'm particularly sick of his Maaaahgie. If I were Maggie I'd insist he call me something else - anything else.

It will be something incredibly stupid like some small Greek child was looking through the window and saw everything but was too terrified to come forward. He/She will meet John and be so overwhelmed by his innate goodness that they will be COMPELLED to come forward and tell the truth about what they saw that day. Either that or Konstantin killed some random woman and he set John up for killing her while only pretending she was his daughter. (See, I should be a Days writer - I can throw crap on the wall and see if it sticks too!) And of course Konstantin's restaurant has closed. He was paying a whole troupe of dancers to sit around and dance for a grand total of 2 people who then proceeded to break all his plates. Unless he was charging 500% mark-up on the equivalent of Greek Walmart plates he couldn't afford the loss. DH should really stick to friendship or lighthearted family scenes. His tortured angst is wearing VERY thin,

Yes, there was something REALLY suspicious about Konstantin being adamant that John should not go to Greece. Is he afraid of what John could discover? I'm starting to think he and Steve go and really do discover that Konstantin is responsible for his own daughter's death. At least Maggie is showing some semblance of a brain and questioning Konstantin.

Just caught up on the last two days of this show. So when is Salem going to erect a statue to the great, wonderful, absolutely adored by all Paulina? I don't think I would dislike her character so much if it wasn't shoved down our throat how wonderful she is at every single turn. She's not wonderful. She's actually quite awful and no amount of glorifying her is going to change that. I REALLY do NOT NOT NOT want Abigail back. At this point, I can't think of ANY character compelling enough to bring back from the dead but if forced to make a list, Abigail would by far, far down on it. What does she actually bring to the show? Seriously, I really can't think of anything. I actually don't mind Stephan when he's fighting back against EJ and being a bit of an asshole. It's sort of fun when it's two despicable people against each other. Since it's not good versus evil it really was like watching their chess game. Man, Marlena is REALLY acting stupid today. If John is so convinced he needs to go confess, why hasn't anyone pointed out the fact that unless he can come up with concrete details about the event he will just be treated as one of the many whack jobs who routinely wander into police stations and confess to crimes they couldn't possibly have committed? Why hasn't Marlena offered to hypnotize him so he knows what he's confessing to? That way, we could all find out he didn't do it and be done with this stupid story once and for all. And I know it was a Friday cliff-hanger, but doesn't ANYONE think it was a little too convenient for Konstantin to suddenly offer forgiveness?

Yeah, while I really hate that the only way the show knows how to create DRAMA is by having triangles (which I'm DEFINITELY over) there really needs to be more characters for both sets to interact with. At this point, the only thing I can think that they're going to do with Johnny and Chanel (other than being singers in the "PRAISE PAULINA" choir) is saddling them with a baby - something I DEFINITELY do not want to see. And I have no clue what they're gong to do with Tate and Holly. Remember when this show at least ATTEMPTED to do friendships?

Dear Diary, There's this girl I know who basically treated me like shit at the very start of our relationship. She made it VERY clear she didn't like me at all and the only way I could even be vaguely useful to her is if I helped her scheme to break up the relationship of the totally inappropriate guy she had a crush on. I'm such a patsy that I went along with this. Once the guy made it clear he had at least half a brain and would never be interested in her she deigned to make me her rebound guy and agreed to go on a date with me. I, having no self respect at all, eagerly agreed. On this date, rather than actually want to get to know me or spend time with me, she decided to get high instead (even though I told her it was a really bad idea.) She overdosed on bad drugs, went into a coma and I went months without seeing her. Meanwhile, I was accused of being the one who gave her the drugs and have bounced around between the jail and various juvenile detention/drug treatment facilities. This girl came out of her coma, remembers that I did not give her the drugs, but refuses to clear my name so I can get out of this facility. I think it's because she cares more about what her mother thinks than the fact that I'll have to spend the next several years in a juvenile facility (if I'm lucky enough to NOT be tried as an adult and sent to prison.) So diary, should I give this girl a 234th chance? I think there's a great possibility we could have a wonderful relationship!

Asking Vivian to do something to benefit Gabi and asking her to do the exact same thing to help Stefan are VERY different asks. No way would Vivian refuse to help her son simply because Gabi would benefit peripherally. Clyde should have already been dead.

So what DID Abe do to piss Lexie off so much that she came back as a spirit just to curse him with Paulina? He was THIS close to getting rid of her and now she's back. Does this mean since the afterlife CLEARLY doesn't want her, that Salem is doomed to have her live forever?

Yeah, awful as that was I can't blame Lexie there - I wouldn't have taken her either. At least he was rightfully pissed at her. Of course, now he'll probably do something stupid and lie for her. No, I'm shocked as well. Who would EVER suspect a great guy like Clyde would lie. REALLY out of character for him.

See, I KNEW Ava was going to screw this up. And yes, show is STILL trying to convince us that John and Steve are geriatric action heroes. Oh, PLEASE let us have this. Unfortunately, it's probably going to be some doctor telling them that a heart is on the way (or there's some revolutionary "miracle procedure") and we're going to be subjected to endless scenes of people tearfully telling Paulina to hang on a fight because the can't let her go. Wendy and Tripp were so boring, all I could do was be distracted by the fact that no person on the planet sleeps sitting up on something with no back support. Even sitting on the floor leaning on the wall would be better. Yup, I was really moved by them today.

I assumed that the reason John jumped on the break Clyde out bandwagon so quickly was because he had a plan to double cross him that he was going to fill in Steve later. BUT, how stupid were these two to let Ava in on the plan. You KNOW she's going to do something stupid to screw it up and let Clyde go free. Granted, we ALL know that Tripp and Wendy aren't really going to die in the vat but, come on show, let's not have ANOTHER stupid person doing something stupid to "protect" someone. When Tate asked if Holly even knew where he was he brought up an interesting point. Holly hasn't even ASKED about him at all. Considering he was her date, shouldn't she at least be a LITTLE concerned about how he was handling it?

All I could think when Kate and Roman went to visit Lucas was "WHY do women who are trying to be inconspicuous on this show always wear the biggest, MOST attention grabbing hats (like Abby skulking around in her giant black number)?" That is a really stupid "disguise" guaranteed to draw attention to yourself. Wear a head scarf or grey wig and fugly clothes for god's sake. I guarantee no one would look twice at you. Yep, Tripp is probably hoping that if she goes first at least he'll get a few minutes of blessed silence.

Well, if a chair can BE IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIRE, get knocked over, and not even have dust or soot on it a box should be fine. Actually, I would guess as long as neither flame nor sparks touched it, it would probably be OK - it's not like the fires would be so intense they would melt it. Boes, this is a GREAT theory. I can't imagine the old writers actually putting that much thought into any of their plotlines, but maybe the scabs did?

Holly overheard Nicole telling EJ she would feel like a failure as a mother if it was discovered that Holly was using drugs. I'm guessing that Holly is throwing Tate under the bus to "protect" Nicole because Holly feels guilty for the fact that her mother will be hurt. Probably, Tate will fall on his sword to "protect" Holly, Holly will feel guilty when it comes out that Tate will go to prison as an adult for attempted murder and eventually do the right thing and confess. Must admit, not that into this story, especially since they haven't really established any sort of real friendship between Tate and Holly.

Yes show, we get it. Brady is not only the greatest, most devoted dad that ever lived but also an absolutely spectacular human being. Theresa, however is MAYBE 2 steps above pond scum. Of course, we have SEEN Brady pretty much neglect Tate all these years so he could horn dog after psychopathic Kristen while Theresa just lived her life and raised Tate, but that still doesn't change the fact that he's still just the greatest and she sucks, right? Every single beat of that whole interaction felt just incredibly wrong. Steve would NEVER step away from trying to find his son to go down memory lane with a slime ball - all the while selling out his friend. Nope, *closes eyes and sticks fingers in ears* that scene never happened. That was EXACTLY my impression.

All I could think was KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE GASP TALKING! That was one of the WORST acting choices I've ever seen.
