DAB makes me think of Robyn dabbing her non-tears during the Tell Nothings. SARK makes me think of the sarcastic things we say about them on Primetimer.

That jumped out at me too. If she hadn't over-filtered her face, I probably wouldn't have noticed. When one part looks decades younger, the rest looks decades older.

It is nice to see her smile, but does she not own a comb, brush or mirror? Don't hide behind the hair. -
The GCEh?C: Canadian Episodes (Spoilers for Non-Canadians)
deirdra replied to Snaporaz's topic in The Young And The Restless
When Y&R gets boring, I watch the French version (Les Feux de l'Amour) on TVA. It is nearly 6 years behind and always more engaging than the current English episodes. Yesterday Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) returned to town on the eve of Nick & Sharon's nth wedding. Today everyone ended up in jail for wild bachelor/bachelorette party behaviour. The dubbers seem more emotionally invested with their vocal inflections than the actors and Johnny is adorable when speaking French. He's ~3 and Victoria is rubbing on her fake belly. I could do without that, Stitch & Cane, but Neil and Austin were still alive in 2014 and Mariah was dating Tyler. Nikki's mouth was agape at the sight of the male stripper. -

Ensure does make a Max Protein (30g/serving) version with only 1g of carbs, if you tolerate sucralose, but yes, the original and other versions to put on weight are full of sugar (first ingredient after water), soy, and oils. It would be handy on the go, but it is cheaper to just use Whey Protein Powder (which I mix with only enough water to make a "pudding" consistency, take vitamins and drink plenty of water. It holds me for ~2 hrs, whereas eggs hold me for 6 hrs. -
Robyn Brown: She wanted the family, but got stuck with the man.
deirdra replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
During one discussion Janelle mentioned that she had moved 30 times since she got married, so the ~10 years in LV, 6 years in their own owned home, is the only place that the kids had any attachment to. -
And the cut of the square-bodied round-neck T-shirts she loves accentuate her shoulders even more. Try a V-neck with 3/4 sleeves, that isn't made out of polyesther replica 1970s couch fabric, Meri.

I don't know what they did in earlier wars, but for WWII I was surprised to find my grandfather's draft card. He was 44 and half blind at the time and was never called up, but all American men between the ages of 18 and 45 were required to register for the draft. So even if you never heard any war stories, you ancestor could have been registered. My uncle's draft card showed that he lied about his age, and he used the address of his summer job when he registered saying he was 18 when he was only 16. I'd known he ran off and joined the Marines before he was 18, but didn't know he was only 16!

I can already imagine Meri peeking in the windows of Robyn's mansion when nobody comes to answer the door after she rings the bell.

Darcey's old BF Tom is doing another 90DF with a new US girlfriend who has the same butchered face/body as Darcey when she had jet black fake hair. So in addition to body dysmorphia in the mirror, there must be something similar in the eye of the beholder, making him think plastic-sex-doll with exaggerated features is the ultimate beauty. One of those life-size silicone dolls that look like them would be a lot lower maintenance & less aggravation.

The way the episode was presented it sounded like he went to Italy twice too. Once to meet his cousin & see the town, then back again to meet with the professor (who reminded me of Emma Thompson) in the palace/archives

A significant number of rich kids whose parents gave them "free college" back when I was a student spent much of their time getting drunk or stoned and skipping classes. Taxpayers don't want to pay for that. We need more scholarships that require recipients to earn their scholarships & degrees and become future taxpayers. I don't recall Bill ever talking about how hard he worked to put himself through Cornell. He probably used pocket money from his parents to start his dope-dealing business, which is the only 'work' he has mentioned doing while in college. -

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore

Didn't Christine do a live in LV with Kootie trying on something and the cat sitting on other clothes? And Mykelti did one with Tony trying on leggings. Apparently the used-by-'celebrities' clothing can fetch a higher price. Ick! -

And what about Phyllis's granddaughter Lucy? She was born ~5 months after Charlie & Mattie (and 15 months before Johnny Abbott, 10 months before Moses, nearly 2 years before Faith). So in 6 years (Sept 30, 2009 - Oct 7, 2015) Faith, Charlie & Mattie, Lucy, Moses, Johnny, Connor, Katie & Christian were born. 10 kids in 8 years if we add Reed (2007) to the mix. But we rarely see any of them, so why were they created in the first place? How about a reunion of all these kids raised in boarding schools or at sleepovers with friends so that we can learn about their dysfunctional lives - 10 Billy Abbotts in the making? -

And soon all the businesses in GC will belong to three families - Newman, Abbott or Winters+ Abby going off to college and getting a specialized degree is a good idea. We don't need any more Reliquary Artists running the company while the only Newman with a Harvard MBA is repeatedly left to twist in the wind. -
Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
deirdra replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Soaking beans would be easier for Janelle. Dump in water. Do nothing for 12+ hrs. She probably leaves dishes soaking in the sink for days after they've sat on the counter getting encrusted with breakfast cereal (as we've seen in some of her photos of dinner creations on chipped plates). We viewers ALWAYS notice the background! I once scared the cat when I burst out laughing at one photo taken to show off Christine's vast collection of Tupperware, but what first caught my eye was the bright red TOASTER on her counter. -
Previously we were instructed to keep SM info out of the Episode threads and confine it to each character's topic thread and long-time posters have stuck to that pretty well. During the off-season, putting 99.99% of the posts in one SM thread would cause a traffic jam and make it impossible to find anything. With a new season starting up, sticking to no SM in episode threads works well.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
deirdra replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Even if you soak them overnight but get busy & don't use them the next day, just change the water as she saw Christine do. Janelle's mom probably used canned beans. Are all of Janelle's family's digestive problems and need for Plexass because she was too lazy to google "how long do you soak beans?" or believe long-time family cook Christine? The bubbles were the reason I overnight-soaked rather than pressure-cooked beans in the 1970s and donated my pressure-cooker to Goodwill - more bubbles during soaking means less gas in the digestive system. But I'd look like Janelle if I ate such starchy foods now. -
I agree. And when he is not raving, he plays the sage explainer who seems to think viewers will agree that he is in the right and his wives or kids are the ridiculous ones. He's rarely right and usually the ridiculous one who cannot see himself objectively as others see him.

S20.E22: David Duchovny; Matt Taibbi; Lis Smith

The problem is that the government subsidizes the Big Agra ingredients that go into their ultra processed junkfoods, making them cheaper than real food, like corn for HFCS, & industrial seed oils rather than broccoli & cauliflower. Bottles of soft drinks are often cheaper than bottled water. Removing the subsidies would induce farmers to grow more real food instead of subsidized junkfood ingredients. -
I'd be looking for a school with better English teachers. If my parents & I had gone there, it is also likely that it has asbestos, old plumbing, old wiring or HVAC that cause problems.
