  1. It was also somewhat negated by the "cute" video Robyn herself chose to show of how goofy she was as a teen "dancing" with alluring hip moves and bare arms and letting us know that her mother told her to "get her scent out there". She was canoodling with Kootie before "marriage" and likely did the same with Day'un's father until they "had" to get married. She probably served up that cookie on a platter. Logan has taken his time getting married, but the older girls married their first and only partners rather quickly.
  2. The "messy" part makes me think it will be Sally, another woman shared by both brothers. It is hard to invisage that a new to the show woman could create a mess. The "challenge" could be that Sally's IQ is twice that of NeanderNick's. Not a story I want to see.
  3. That's exactly what I thought. Chance, be sure to tell Abby that you had to quit your dream job because she and Victor forced you to compromise your integrity for "family" and won't have a fixer in the GCPD anymore.
  4. How odd, I just finished watching Merrie Spaeth in The World of Henry Orient (1964) before coming here and reading about Kelsey Spaeth.
  5. Yup, that's the clip, Roslyn. I wonder who got it scrubbed from TLC's streaming services? Meri was also looking on adoringly in the clip.
  6. Especially when they are also competing with the blotchy fake tan
  7. Have they ever explained why Dom has been wearing a hat, even indoors, for the entire year? Does he have a bad case of cradle cap from always wearing a hat?
  8. The 1970s called, reporter lady, and they want your limp version of Farrah Fawcett's hairdo back.
  9. I think her house sold in August last year. Perhaps Kootie didn't realize that she was gone until November. She could start reverse aging now that she has less stress. I've seen people who looked 10 years younger after retiring. All of them look like they were shot in front of blurred backgrounds. Meri probably didn't want her body in the photo. The cloudy skies are an inspired choice by the photographer.
  10. No, but he has admitted numbing himself with dope to escape reality.
  11. Well, at least his solar panels must be up and running without a hitch now since they aren't his pet peeves anymore ;)
  12. They make it easy for me to not be influenced. Many think a long drawn out mysterious way to lure you in works. Nope! If you cannot get the main reason for your post across in the first 15 seconds, I'm out!
  13. I seem to recall this happening in one of the talking heads during or at the end of a season. So not just hurtful to Christine, but re-humiliating her on camera in front of her sisterwives for the world to see. A caring husband does not do that. Kootie chose polygamy. Christine was brought up in it and of her role models thought 3rd (and last) wife was the least objectionable spot to be in the only type of family she knew. It is also interesting that at ~15 Leo was the only child who said they wanted sisterwives. Perhaps just to gain favour with the parents, but perhaps because Leo could not envision themself stuck alone in a monogamous marriage with a controlling narcissitic man. It is sad that some people grow up not feeling that they should aim for what they really want in life instead of the least worst option that they feel they have. The only good thing to come of this show is that the Brown family finally saw what options were available.
  14. Continually debasing someone and telling them that they're disgusted by her nacho eating (decades ago) and were never attracted to her (Kootie said that on the show), etc. also make the debased person think that nobody else would ever want them. So they feel trapped. But after being abandoned for a couple of years during Covid, Christine realized she could take care of herself (and had been for a long time).
  15. His tone of voice sounded very confrontational.
  16. I wonder how much, if any, of the cost of the surgery Kootie was paying.
  17. What ever happened to those non-Newman 3-4 suits who were on the Board that occasionally came to meetings to weigh in on big ideas before huge descisions were made? Or do they meet on Zoom now?
  18. Not to mention the two years they spent taking Ysabel to a plumbing supplies salesman to make exercise and bracing devices. There was one time on camera that Kootie told Ys it was her fault she wasn't improving since she wasn't exercising enough and that's why her spine kept bending, even though her doctor told them all that exercises won't reverse things once the bend goes past a certain point that she'd gone past years earlier. And how would he know how much she was exercising when he spent most of his time at Robyn's. And after years of pain Kootie said she should wait another 6 or more months.
  19. Wow - all that on one narrow lot? Was this one built before or after the allowable building size was increased to 80% of the lot in Indianapolis? It is interesting that on Google's map view the building foot print is shown and the Bang A Salon lot has two monster buildings on it now and several buildings in the area seem to cross the lot lines (though Google may not show them accurately).
  20. TPTB should liven things up and have Lucy come to town to make Phyllis a Cracked Southern great granny.
  21. Nope. Whenever this happens I start recording the French version on TVA in Canada. It is now nearly 6 years behind the current shows in English (to do the pretty high quality dubbing in France w/words chosen carefully to keep the meaning but match the lip movements). Today Gina Tognoni's Phyllis, back from a coma, crashed Nick & Sharon's wedding. Of course back then I also would get bored (Victoria was obsessively caressing her fake pregnancy belly w/pathetic acting) and record the French shows from 5 yrs prior. The show has been spiraling downward with lamer and more boring SLs for the past ~28 years; very noticeable with 5-6 years difference watched side-by-side.
  22. Though she probably got one of the 5 bedrooms all to herself, a lock on the door, and with headphones she'd barely notice Meri was there. I was the middle daughter and always had to share a room during my 18 years in the family home, first with my older sister, then with my younger sister, whereas each of them had a room to themselves for ~10 yrs (and little brother always had his own room).
  23. When I read “He broke my little girls heart”, I first thought Christine was talking about Truely and how Kootie treated her when she didn't catch on to riding a 2-wheeler in the 30 seconds he had alloted to her training. Or that time during COVID when Kootie & Robyn shut down birthday greetings and talking outside between Truely & Sol who hadn't seen their siblings in months. Sol was left sobbing and Truely again felt discarded by Dad. Then there was Ysabel too.
  24. And I think the rest just avoid or minimize interactions with Meri. Saying as little as possible so as not to rile her up makes any time when she's around go by faster.
