  1. So the show devotes like 20 minutes to the nanny COVID exposure, testing, reactions, etc. and then Gabe and Garrison(?) actually have COVID (not related to the nanny thing)...and it gets like a 30 second mention? LOL, okay. Glad that Janelle didn’t catch it, though. I know that Mykelti’s baby shower was outside, but risking COVID exposure while pregnant seems so scary to me. Whatever Christine’s job is, I hope the cat getting into her inventory hasn’t been an ongoing thing. Like, I’m assuming she’s selling cat piss clothes, or something. Yikes!
  2. Stella has never really bothered me (I thought she was fine), but she’s getting on my last nerve! She ghosted Severide, came back and acted like everything should go back to normal, got all jealous over Kelly working with Seger, and cast doubt on Pelham. WTF, lady?! I’ve never liked Gallo and would appreciate if the show paired Violet with the paramedic supervisor guy instead. I’m not sure where the heck Sylvie’s story is going. Could be setting the actress up to leave the show, could be setting the character up to break up with Matt, could be leaving everything purposely vague...I just don’t know. Please come back, Jesse Spencer. I hate all the added screen time for characters that annoy me. Speaking of Jesse Spencer returning - he was supposed to come back for Stella and Kelly’s wedding. Are we sure the wedding’s happening, LOL?
  3. Some random thoughts: Sexy boss sometimes throws "personal space" boundaries right out the window while conversing with Thony or the wife. Uh, so the sick kid lives in a room surrounded by plastic, but nobody ever seems to wear a mask around him? Thony just unzipped the plastic and walked in, and a group of unmasked people were playing basketball with him last episode. WTF? I would have preferred if Arman had been pulled into this life because he was forced to pay off the debt of Hayak taking care of his sick father. The actor playing Arman looks so much better with facial hair than clean-shaven, but they need to cut his hair. Oliver Hudson's character is totally going to end up dead or disgraced by season's end, LOL.
  4. Oh my gosh, Bess’ pink dress was so ugly and not at all flattering. She’s lovely, why did they choose that for her?! I was so excited for all of the Nancy/Ace content I thought we’d get this season. LOL, what a letdown it has been. I mean, Ace disappears for like a day or two, misses his meeting with Nancy, misses his meeting with the coroner guy, and Nancy’s like “Huh, Ace missed a meeting with you too? Wow, that’s weird...Gotta go hook up with Agent Park now. K, bye!” Dude almost gets “purged from existence” and only gets a hug and a “uh...yeah...were you with me all day today (you didn’t see me hook up with Agent Park...right???). Ugh, this is not how I wanted things to play out. Add in the Nick/George drama, and this season has kinda been a downer 😕
  5. Sexy boss is quite yum, and I do see the chemistry there. I remember him from that horrible Kevin Bacon show where James Purefoy was a serial killer. This was interesting enough for me to tune in again. I don’t have much to add, except that it was idiotic that Thony didn’t immediately switch her phone off or to silent as soon as that murder went down. I was like “you better hope your phone doesn’t ring...” But it was for plot reasons, so I guess I’ll just let that go! Anyways, I like the character and will be back next week.
  6. Oh my, watching these people navigate COVID is making me all sorts of rage-y. I guess I’ll never understand some of the decisions, like a bunch of the kids going to see Ysabel right after her surgery, or Christine’s pregnant daughter spending Thanksgiving with some of the family. I mean, infecting Ysabel with COVID as she’s in immense pain from major surgery would have helped her recovery how? There were other safe or safer options there regarding supporting Ysabel after surgery (like video phone calls or in the very least, masking up while visiting her)! And I guess it all worked out, but the thought of getting COVID while pregnant seems terrifying, possibly very dangerous, and not at all worth the risk just so you don’t miss one Thanksgiving with your family. Again, it all seems to have worked out for these people, but my gosh, Christine with her “I’m going to live my life my way” (or whatever she said). Uh huh, but what’s the harm in taking extra precautions when gathering as a family for their Thanksgiving (wear masks, social distance, get tested before-hand (if you had access to a test, obviously), etc.)? The preview doesn’t really look like they are being COVID-cautious. I think they all just got terribly lucky, and I don’t know how they all avoided getting infected.
  7. Add me as another that enjoyed the scene of the mustangs running. Kayce's "shhhhhit" as the two men were driving the horses out of the pen was very appropriate, ha. Yuck to the scene of Jimmy and the horse. Served no purpose and it's right up there on the awful scale near Monica bathing her grown-ass son in the tub a few episodes back. Saw the guy who plays the asshole with alligator seats while fast-forwarding through a commercial break, so I rewound see what he had to say. Just wanted to know what the guy does in real life. Imagine my surprise when that asshole turned out to be the showrunner! Explains so much, really...
  8. Okay, I thought An Unexpected Christmas was hilarious! A Hallmark movie starring one of my favorites (Tyler Hines), written by another of my favorites (Paul Campbell)? Perfect. I loved the humor, and the Christmas show at the end had me snort-laughing like Bethany Joy Lenz’s character. The Andrew Walker sighting is one hour into the movie. He comes in for a table and says, “Walker, for two.” 😆 This is the type of Hallmark Christmas movie I enjoy...fun, with a plot that is not overly-Christmas (no parents that are secretly Mr. and Mrs. Clause, or Christmas themed stores in threat of being closed down, or anything involving “Christmas magic,” etc.). I tend to mostly enjoy the movies that happen to take place around Christmas but otherwise don’t have much to do with the holiday.
  9. Yes, you are probably absolutely correct there. Cottonmouths/water moccasins were the only snake I knew could swim. Until now.... Sweet geezus, all snakes can swim?! Nightmare fuel!! I know that they're doing the "tough love" thing with that kid Beth brought home, but maybe don't shove him, nearly ditch him on the side of the road, and just generally treat him like shit? This poor kid is definitely ending up a murderer under Rip and Beth's care.
  10. Wow, death by cottonmouth is very...inventive (but horrifying). What was the point of making the kid run out and grab the plastic bag? Was it just to see if he can take orders without arguing and asking a lot of questions? Poor kid. His doesn't have many options and they all seem pretty bad. Geez, Beth, did you have to be all cryptic? Just tell your dad that nobody died, and that's all that matters right now. Was hoping Jimmy would die, LOL. He's a moron with a death wish. Enjoyed the dirty-looking son hauling ass to catch the guys who shot up his dad. All the people just sitting in their vehicles (especially the lady in the red car) in the middle of a shoot-out were idiots, though. I'd like to think I would have moved a safe distance away as soon as the shooting started!
  11. Mouch to Brett Dalton’s new character: Casey took Gallo under his wing. Me: He...he did??? I’m not a huge Casey lover or anything, but I’m not really enjoying the show without him. It leaves too much screen time for characters I really don’t care about. Speaking of characters I don’t care about, Gallo sucks. LOL, how can he mouth off to a superior like that and just get away with it?? I know they are setting up Brett Dalton’s character to be shady or something (based on Herrmann’s reactions), but in the meantime, I hope he makes Gallo pay! Violet sucks too. Wish it had been Gallo who had moved to Oregon and Violet had gone with him. Why isn’t Herrmann next in line as Casey’s replacement? It’s probably something obvious, but I am not getting it.
  12. Ah, so they aged the kids down...if I had not mixed up what I read in the comments thread on the earlier episodes, I might have realized that they did that to force the foster care situation and provide Casey with a reason for leaving. Did I miss why the aunt wouldn't take the kids? I can't imagine letting your nephews go into foster care instead of doing whatever you can to take custody of them... At least Jesse Spencer is open to returning. Either have Sylvie go live with Casey in Oregon if Kara Killmer decides to leave, or bring Casey back in the final season. Probably the best they can do, I guess. Another show I watch just lost two original cast members in the last year, so I am not taking this very well, LOL. Honestly still not over losing Otis or Peter Mills...
  13. "Hot sound guy" Brett Tucker will be recurring on The Big Leap:
  14. Wow, that suuuucks. Didn’t think Casey was actually leaving since it all felt rushed and not at all a proper send-off for an actor who has been on the show for ten seasons. I kept waiting for the foster parent thing to fall through, or the kids to show up in Chicago, or a three year flash forward, or whatever. The way they apparently aged the kids up so Casey only has to move for three years could mean we are jumping ahead three years, I guess. (Now watch someone link to a Jesse Spencer exit interview, LOL). Just a crap send-off, IMO. Boo!!
  15. Hot sound guy seems too recognizable of an actor to be a bit part (I’ve seen him on McLeod’s daughters, US Mistresses, and Station 19). Hope this means he’ll show up again.
  16. Kinda hate the time jump. I had wondered if they might do something like this with the fast-tracking of Devon and Leela’s relationship (went from first kiss right to talking about moving in together, and skipped all the fun stuff in between). I didn’t want to watch Conrad grieving over Nic either, but now I will have to watch as the show finds him a new love interest this season. Conrad may have moved on, but I just watched Nic’s awful death like two episodes ago, and I’m not ready for him to start something new! Welp, bye bye Mina! Don’t think her relationship with AJ survived that time jump. It’s not like they had much of a relationship anymore anyways, and I know it wasn’t feasible to keep AJ single while Mina wasn’t even on the show any longer, but it hurts to lose all hope there after just losing Nic. The only good thing that might have come from the time jump is if they took the opportunity to write Nic’s “best friend” (who I don’t remember even existing before last season) off of the show. Don’t care for her at all and don’t expect I ever will. Sadly, she’s probably still around.
  17. The Nick proposal acceptance scene was very sweet. I’m happy for Nick & George and glad that the show saw the potential in this pairing. OMG, Nancy’s reaction to the angry cat and Carson’s reaction to Ryan chopping mushrooms were freaking hilarious. I love the Ryan/Carson dynamic. I hope Bess dating/hooking up with random women is a one-episode thing. Not interested in that at all. I was never a Tamura fan (the actor is just blah to me), so I’m not sad to see that he’s gone. I like the new guy from The Librarians well enough, but I don’t need a love triangle. Ace is my guy! I enjoy how Nancy’s feelings for Ace are playing out so far. He’s clueless and she’s acting a bit awkward around him. I think he’ll notice something’s up soon, but I’ll enjoy her pining in these first episodes of the season.
  18. Murphy suuuucks, but I did feel bad for her after she was arrested. Max, Felix, and Jess get to go about their lives, apparently, and Murphy ends up in prison? What jury is going to convict Murphy, LOL? I probably would have throat-kicked Jess too. Allowing your friends to think you are dead because you think your friendship with Murphy is toxic? Wow, how shitty. Hope that the mom takes good care of Pretzel. But when she was in the car accident with Murphy, I don’t think either checked on him. So I don’t know... Felix and Murphy were, at times, terrible to each other this season. But I am glad he let Murphy know that he will be there for her. Is this the last of Max and Jess? I like the actor who plays Max, but the character no longer serves a purpose. And I’m over Jess after her terrible actions this season.
  19. So Jerri has a thing for the guy who has a thing for Cassie? Unless I missed something, that seemed to come out of nowhere. I recognize the guy Jenny hooked up with but can’t place him, hmm. Ronald can die anytime now.
  20. Ooh, I hope Juan Pablo Di Pace shows up in more Hallmark movies. Yes, please. Regarding the ads for Hallmark Christmas movies...Is there really such a big demand for Christmas movies in freaking October? Two months of Christmas is just too much — OMG I hate it so much!
  21. The Captain of the fire house is putting baking soda in his chili, losing his keys in the fridge, repeatedly calling Kevin the wrong name, etc., and nobody else except Kevin is noticing?! Mick would not have just walked off that fall down the rocky hillside. What I saw were multiple broken bones, LOL. Do I have this right? That Dilfer guy forged Mick’s name on contracts and Mick has these forged contracts just sitting around his office? Huh? I’m confused about that and about why Mick didn’t seek out this paperwork when he was accused of being involved in the whole thing? If someone accused me of being involved in something illegal, I would probably be looking through all of the relevant paperwork, hoping to find something amiss, but that’s just me. David screaming at the owl was hilarious. Why does Hallmark keep counting down the episodes until David and Jess’ wedding?! David is sweet and cute and I keep hoping he will come to his senses before then (I don’t think that is what Hallmark is going for).
  22. Don’t care for new “eccentric” billionaire guy, blech. Hope the show just goes with sweet, cute teacher instead (as Abby’s new guy). No Jess, yay! And the flowers all the ladies in her family chose for the centerpieces looked like a funeral arrangement, ha! How appropriate 🤣
  23. Sigh. Sarah needs Paul's help with the floods, Paul helps and saves most of the town from flooding. Sarah gets mad that Paul didn't consult her before flooding the glen, Paul says he tried to call her but she didn't pick up. "You should have sent someone for me!!!" Sarah shouts. Unreasonable much?? Did they really have to steal the construction equipment? Seems like the mining company may have loaned the equipment during a disaster like this to garner some good publicity. Uh, I'm not sure about the logistics of digging a trench in ground that is thawing on the top layer but still frozen underneath. Seems like it could be a muddy mess, equipment would get stuck and buried, etc. Glad that Grover adopted the sweet pupper. I was waiting for Adam to come through the door and hear Danny and Corinne. Didn't even think about him hiding in that closet area, gah!
  24. So according to the prior season recap at the start of the show, Jess and David did get engaged last season. I seriously don't remember that happening, LOL. I'm not sure I can take an entire season of Jess spazzing out about getting married, yikes. I still think Megan sucks for ditching her children and wish the show would ditch her. A big NO to her and Mick reconnecting. The Trace/Abby break-up was awkward and I could very much tell that "Hey, Jesse Metcalfe is leaving so we have to split these two up. And it has to be Abby who dumps Trace so that we can give her new love interests instead of having her pining away for him!" And Trace is already gone and is just going to be shown in flashbacks? Seems pointless, but OK. Teacher love interest seems sweet and is good with Abby's kids, so I hope that works out. Kevin and Sarah trying for a baby? Eh, who cares? Connor in general? Eh, who cares. I did like his new co-worker jokingly telling him that she's reporting him to HR, though. Ha!
  25. Okay, so I saw a sneak-peek commercial for the new season, and regarding David and Jess, There's a new guy interacting with Bree in the commercial, so I'm assuming he's her new love interest (it's another one of those guys that is in a bunch of Hallmark movies but rarely or never?? as the lead). STILL mad she didn't end up with David, Hallmark!! I can't believe that another Hallmark show is losing it's lead guy with Jesse Metcalfe leaving. Mmm, don't care much either way, but the network should do a better job in locking down contracts. Now...if we could just lose Jess...(and maybe Megan, who I dislike, and Sarah, who I just feel nothing for).
