I think in the long run this will hurt them? I won't be paying for many different little subscriptions to watch shows. I'm getting ready to cancel my CBS access, I only did it for easy access for my old TV in the living room. But I won't keep it going. So it will be a short term to watch some shows then cancel. Prime and Netflix will be all that I keep for now. I didn't do Disney plus. I have to watch my budget. I canceled cable for cost reasons, and I'm not going to go back to that expense for several mini subscriptions. I do wish they would think of the consumer and not their pocketbook. In the long run it will harm actors paychecks too.

It's been bad because Texas isn't a state that deals with this like they do up north. This time it wasn't normal on the outages. Some have been without power or water for days. I was lucky my highest time was over 8 hours I think. I stayed in my bedroom under the quilt and blankets. Though it's weird as at times I got really hot and had to take them off. Luckily tonight will be our last freeze for a while. I'm blessed as I didn't have to throw out food. What I want to know is why did 2021 create such a disaster compared to 2011. I know the freeze was longer but something is very wrong.

Just finished watching White Collar. The ending pays tribute to the villain from Season 1 and it ends with the character true to their essence of who they were. Now there are issues.... Which is why Supernatural is so disappointing? It has such a rich history. It could have tied it to the lore, to the history of the show. Even if they had to have Dean die, they could have done it in a way that made a statement. No Final will ever please everyone, but to fail almost everyone shouldn't be the goal. I own nothing of season 15 and I'm still taking a break from the show. I'll watch again, but only one or two eps will be worth my time in the Dabb years. I doubt I'll ever watch the final again. I'll rewrite the ending for myself and ignore Dabbs. I just need to give my self more time before I decide how I should end it.

According to the writer, no Ben wasn't Dean's son. The director decided to add the elements of Ben standing just like Dean and acting like him. So that director's choice has made fans believe that Ben must be Dean's son. Can you fanwink it if you want too, sure but it then becomes bad when Dean wipes their memory of him. Now since Dean lived with them for a year, that was long enough to create something but in cannon they never made it so. IA that since Dean lived with them for a year, if it was true it should have been revealed. Now could Dean have some children he doesn't know about, well of course. They used that to create Adam...well Dean could have several...

Taking a break from Supernatural. Watching older shows. May try it again after some time has passed by, but I'll be skipping the last few years. I'm sure the press will help Jared with the initial curiosity about his new show, but Walker wasn't one that I watched that much the first time. I'll wait to see if it makes it before I think about it. Getting tired of liking a show to only see it canceled.

IA, but I'm glad that they are separating to do new things apart from each other. This will allow careers to expand and not be codependent on each other.

Yes, some are better than others and her fics also have other writers that have expanded the universe even if they don't always line up with what they created. I do like her Caleb. I think when she got disillusioned with the show, well, her stories really came to a halt. Love both actors, will have to think on which one would be the better Mac...Never thought of Gerald since she always said it was Tom. I will say the stories have stolen many hours of my life but good writers do that. There are good fanfiction writers out there. Some, I think would have done a better job than Dabb.

IA but I thought that Seven fit more. I saw Agnes as someone that he just wanted to help, not that he saw her as some great love interest. I missed seeing anything for Raffi and Seven. That came out of left field for me. I'm starting a rewatch and maybe it will show up on 2nd viewing but nothing made me think oh yea, that would be a wonderful couple.

I just watched the entire series on a binge watch and when you don't have to wait between eps, it works a little better and you see some of the set ups. Santiago Cabrera talents keep growing. I loved the all the Holo's, and he does do a great job of making them unique. I was late to the show Musketeers, but he still has a bit of Aramis in Rios. Several stand out moments. When I watched this ep the second time, you catch more details. But he makes it clear how he felt about the Captain only to watch himself commit suicide and he had to clean up the mess. If you look at Soji dream, it may be that they had one pattern that they kept trying to perfect. It does tie back to the nightmare, so I didn't have a problem with Rios having a prior experience with a synth. Raffi didn't know him that well in some ways as he didn't know about her grown son. It wasn't a story he shared. But Picard needed a pilot willing to break rules and I like this part of his character. I like how they have given Seven more depth. She isn't the 7 of 9 from Voyager. If the season was a bit longer, they could have expanded on some parts. But any show will have weak points. I'm not really buying the dangers of the synths but I find the show fun to watch and certain parts I wouldn't have a problem watching again.

He's home but still very confused. They ruled out mini stroke and test came back normal. They are changing how meds are being given for pain and hoping it was a reaction to the meds. Not sure but hopefully he will recover soon. Thanks for the prayers. I'm hopeful that he will turn the corner soon.

My Dad had surgery just before Thanksgiving. Everything seemed to be going well but I think they sent him home too soon. Now he's in the ER. Praying that things turn around as he's really confused and thinks it's 2004. Waiting to see what to do as with covid, it changes what you can do. Sending prayers for my Dad and hoping this is minor setback.

This is the part that I will focus on. Not the ending. Met a people on the board that felt like friends even though many have left. But the positive messages from the show lives on in all of the fans. I'll give the show a break but I do have favorites that I will watch again.

Oh she still has a few good ones, but yes it was her earlier works that grabbed my interest. Since she brought me into the fandom, I thought I would see what she came up with. Really an outline as they are really short just shows that it can be done.

It's been shared in fanfic thread and go up in this thread it's there too. I will add that it was that fanfic writer that got me into Supernatural. I loved her love for the show so I checked it out. It was at the end of season 3. So for me it was a bookend to the series, if she started my love for Dean Winchester and the brothers then it was fitting for her to wrap it up for me. 🙂

Jensen can be quiet. I think him staying off twitter is a good sign. He has already made it clear that he question the ending and the last interview even pointed out clearly that he had zero input into the outcome of the script. His meeting with them in LA was that this is the ending. If you don't like it too bad and he made that clear using some sarcasm and humor. I don't think he has gotten in a twitter war like Jared nor does he seem to need to defend himself. He gets to play I'm just the actor and I gave it my best shot. How it would have been now can be blamed on covid. But a studio would only push back on something they felt was crossing the line and would harm them in the long run. At this point I don't care. The misery is over and I'll create my own ending and ignore theirs. But I'll give it time. I would have rather seen the iconic closing the trunk together or them both dying together than the lame ending they created. The studio did a push back on the 300 ep so I think they have only done it a few times. I wish we had a better showrunner but alas we were stuck with Dabb and that will hurt him in the long run.

One Fanfiction long term writer has already undone it 3 different ways. One involves Jack, one involves the new Death and one is ending before certain seasons started. So undoing it isn't an issue. How might be the question when there are way too many options. I think the hard part would be figuring out which way worked the best. lol

If Dabb had been so right, they would have had way more praise. Jensen is smart in not picking a battle that can hurt his career. But I do believe he will learn from this and use it to his advantage in his next choices. He also gave a warning to any Dean fan that the end might not be satisfying. It wasn't. We may hear about the truth on all of this years down the road like he did with Dark Angel but for now he can just say it took me a while to come to terms. Another thing is Kripke would have done a much darker ending...so perhaps that is why Jensen finally got behind it. If you had done a typical horror ending...both brothers would have died? Not sure what Kripke would have done.

Looking at the polls on the final you are not alone, nor is this an unpopular opinion. On one poll 48% loved it but the next large vote percentage wise gave it a 1. So it doesn't have to be in the unpopular opinion. If you love it, GO FOR IT! Now I gave the final a C-. I gave the season a D. But that's because I only have maybe two eps and some moments that I thought were good. Still love the Black and White tap dance routine. Loved Christian Kane and Jensen acting and singing together. I don't believe that Jensen thinks that Jared screwed him by pulling I'm number 1 on the call sheet. The evidence they both live in Austin and do stuff together. I do believe their friendship is real. However if you look at his relationship with his ex costars from Dark Angel, it doesn't look like they have any contact. Again don't really care. I think Jensen did live up to his promise that when he felt the story lines weren't strong enough he would pull the plug. 15 years for one show is a lifetime. Most actors are lucky if they get 5. Plenty of fandom's I'm involved in only had 2 to 3 seasons. Any show will have weak points. I will give Dabb this prop, he didn't destroy the series for me. I will take a break but when I start watching I get to choose what eps I will watch. I do think that Supernatural works better on a binge watch vs watching it live. I also think it is fine that the fans don't all agree as long as they are respectful to each other. No one needs to feel that their opinion is less valid. I'm not going to watch Jared's new show but if it ever shows up on Netflix, I might. I will try out Jensen on the Boys but if I hate the show...well that will be it. I never thought I would watch Supernatural. I don't like Horror. But Jensen pulled me in and I've watched his acting skills grow. I do believe that Jared and Jensen made the final stronger. But many have stated what I don't like or agree with so I'll not keep repeating that. If you loved the final, great. I'm okay with it. Can't praise it but I'm sick of people telling others what they may or may not feel. Do you.

It is the special that got me mad. Hearing them go on and on about how they were honoring the fans. I would have been better off not watching it. It's the disconnect with their results vs what they say they want to do. If they had written what they said they wanted to write then, well I think the ratings would have been better.

I looked at the chart and laughed. Either you loved it as a 10 or it was pretty much a one. I guess this works if a dysfunctional family is the goal.

I just watched "Supernatural: The Long Road Home". I have to admit the more that Singer and Dabb talked the madder I got. That they talked about how important family was, how important the relationships are. Then to spout the nonsense how hard they worked on the ending to make it soooo satisfying for all of the fans. Well either, you really can't produce what you say you are doing or you think that this fan must be stupid. The show didn't do what you talked about at all. The season didn't honor the legacy that you got to be part of. In fact it failed in so many ways. I get that Jared and Misha really believe what they are saying. It was nice to hear from Mark Sheppard. But when they talked about what Mary's story did. What I saw on the screen and what they said they did failed. If they had succeeded, I would have been excited this season. I will admit that except for a few press snippets, I didn't see that much excitement from Jensen. I get that there was a concern to tell a strong story, but what power did Jensen really have. The disconnect between what they think they did and what they actually did...WOW! I plan never to support a Dabb show ever again. I will admit that the ending wasn't as bad as I expected, but I wish they had been capable of producing the show they said they wanted to end with. That show would have had the ratings to prove it. It also would have pleased and attempted to please more than just a mere 30% of the fandom. I get that Misha got the ending he wanted. So I get why he is pleased. I just wish I had felt better about it. If I'm in the minority and most people love it, okay...
