  1. It's like you could see the future or something... 😉😄
  2. The first 2 colonoscopies I had, I had the liquid prep. For the last one in 2022, they gave me the pills. I hated the pills. They're horse pills and I had real issues with them. I got them all down, and drank all the liquids I was supposed to, but I'm asking for the liquid for my next one in 2025. Just saying, if you have an issue with ginormous pills, those are ginormous.
  3. I have tickets to see Tyne Daly and Liev Schreiber in Doubt in April...except now Tyne Daly is out of the show. Amy Ryan is replacing her. Do I still see it, or get a refund?
  4. My friend, and incredible talent, Hinton Battle, died last week. He was funny, and smart and so thoughtful. And he could dance and sing. Gift link from the NYT Here's the opening from the Tonys when he won for Tap Dance Kid. In the last week, there are a bunch of new YouTube videos that weren't there when I last looked. Those will keep me going for a while.

Sigh... I often wonder why we can't just play on paper...
  6. Totally agree with this. I said to Mr. ebk when Jay-Z looked over at Blue Ivy and motioned her to come along with him that she didn't look like she was expecting this and was probably muttering "Dad...why are you making me do this". Mr. ebk ignored me.
  7. I have to give it to them. They made a commercial that's even worse than the terrible, horrible commercial they made before. This one makes the last one look like a masterpiece...of something...

Os are winning the World Series this season! That's my hot take after not being here for a week.
  9. I thought the show was quite good last night. Loved Tracy Chapman and Joni Mitchell (and Brandi Carlisle), but I really missed chatting with you all about it. Reddit is awful and the NYT isn't interactive, although the live update folks are informative and quite funny. @Annber03I had the same reaction seeing Blue Ivy. The only difference is... I am actually old. 😉
  10. I didn't watch the show, and I haven't watched this video, but this came up as the first behind-the-scenes video on the YouTube channel. There are 6 women listed, including the head writer.
  11. I love Virgil's! Although I don't remember the cornbread. Maybe we'll go when we're there in April.

Even being a Baltimoron, I came to Ravens fandom late (for reasons I won't go into here), but I did get there. Don't leave - just sit back and laugh at the haters. That's what I'm doing and it makes me feel better. And really, I hate a lot of teams. That also makes me feel better!
  13. I will forever put "bitch" at the end of every line of the Star Spangled Banner...dammit!!
  14. Shows I have seen and enjoyed: Hadestown, Hamilton, Six, Spamalot. Show I saw and enjoyed most of it, even though the book will never work - Merrily We Roll Along. Show that is opening in early February that I'm seeing in April - Doubt (with Tyne Daly and Liev Schrieber). I don't know who will be in Sweeney Todd while you're there, but you may want to see that, too. We saw Groban and Ashford, but they're out now and I don't know when Tveit and Foster are coming on. It will be cheaper before they do...and probably better, too. Looking forward to hearing what you think about whatever you decide to see.

I really want them to get one more score so they've got at least 50 points.

    A great first half!
  17. We're going to see Seth tonight at the Kennedy Center. Can't wait!
  18. Mazel tov @shapeshifter!!
  19. I saw it sometime in the last 10 years. I love the show (watching it, not working it), but it really did lose something without the turntable. I don't know if the current tour is back to using the turntable, but if not... the show is still good, but it was sorta lacking.
  20. In fact, my family calls those "bubbie carts". When I lived in the city, I used one, but now since I live in Goatville (yes, there are goats next door!), I drive. I mostly use the bright orange Orioles tote bags I got at Camden Yards as a season-ticket holder party gift. They're sturdy, and large enough to hold most everything I buy in one trip.
  21. I love him so much! And her, but especially him.
  22. While these intros are mostly amusing, they're reeeeeally long. Do they not have that many awards to give out tonight?
  23. Of course I'm not ahead. But someday, I will be 😉 It's like any other discretionary spending - only this one might pay off at some point. Maybe. Probably not. But, it's (allegedly) going to the state education fund, so I can tell myself it's helping someone.
  24. Can I move in with you this year?
  25. We can get subscriptions to both Powerball and Mega Millions in the state where I live, so I write 2 checks a year and sometimes I win 8 whole dollars. It's magical. There was one time (in the million or so years I've been doing this) that we came home from vacation and there was a $550 check in the mailbox. That was fun. That's also a benefit of a sub - I don't have to check (or even remember) my numbers. They just pay me if the numbers come up. I just wish they'd come up more often.
