Why Grammar Matters: A Place To Discuss Matters Of Grammar
ebk57 replied to candall's topic in Everything Else
My reading of that is if you have vaccines as a child, you will grow up to be an adult. If you don't, you won't make it out of childhood. I agree with "cause" instead of "causes".- 4.5k replies

Mr. ebk's doctor already does that. Sigh...

I'm not even much of a Lebron fan, but the doll is fabulous.

I think I love you.

Johnson is still with Paul Weiss. Emhoff is with Willkie Farr, which isn't any better since they bent the knee, too. As my dad used to say, the world is going bad. He was a great guy, but a little depressive.

Um.... https://www.npr.org/2023/08/18/1194593562/chess-transgender-fide-pushback And, I respectfully disagree with you. This is not about sports at all. It's about hate and they've found a way in. There are many people who are vehemently against trans people in sports who know nothing about sports. They just know what the hate mongers have told them.

OMG, I could be your mother! I'm not sure how to feel about that... 😄 My family was totally liberal. My dad's family had to leave Philadelphia because his dad was a union organizer and someone didn't like that. My dad was as auditor at GAO, so he would be furious at what's happening. My husband was a stagehand and an officer in the local union. All of us, including my siblings, practically socialists! And damn proud of it. I'm going to my 50th HS reunion in September. I'm curious as to how this will go. I obviously misjudged and totally underestimated Ken! This is a great post!!

Just about celebrities, not politicians. But still...

I don't think this will still be around in July, but I'll keep an eye out. Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm sorry oakville, but the only thing I'd ever watch Gutfeld do is jump off a cliff. Which he will hopefully do soon.

I'd like to see him in anything. Or nothing, as the case may be...

Here are my quick thoughts from my trip last month (from a few posts up). "Othello - they talked really fast and loud, which worked out for my friend who live here because he caught the last express train to his apartment. It's set in "the near future" but other than the costumes, nothing suggests the near future." I can't really add anything substantive. It was...fine. I'm glad I got pre-sale tickets on the first day because anything over $250 for this is too much.

I, OTOH, enjoy it. It's always interesting to see how/if everyone gets along. And honestly - is that you Morgan? You seem awfully defensive of a guy you've never heard of.

But HIS emails... https://www.newsweek.com/mike-waltz-used-personal-gmail-government-communications-report-2053863 It never ends.

Milestone Moments: All The Celebrity Vitals

Richard Chamberlain came through my theatre for the pre-Broadway production run of My Fair Lady...whenever that was. He was very pleasant, but I really don't remember much about him. The thing everyone remembers about that production was the giant head prop. I did quite enjoy Shogun and Thorn Birds. And The Towering Inferno. RIP -
You made me look it up. Honestly, he needs a good talking-to by the Menswear Guy on twitter/BlueSky. He looked ridiculous.

My cashier, then bank teller days taught me to do the cash thing properly. Now, when I go to the bank for cash and they just hand me bills facing any which way, I will count them myself (which one should always do while in sight of the teller) while arranging them properly before I leave the window. I like to set a good example...
-
I only knew about this from The Menswear Guy (who I love and is the only reason I stick around on twitter).

Seems so... https://people.com/morgan-wallen-abruptly-walks-off-snl-before-shows-end-11705742 He's an ass and I don't know why Lorne keeps trying to have him on. I sincerely hope this is the last time.
