Death In Paradise - General Discussion
wanderingstar replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Death In Paradise
I adored Fidel, and JP eventually grew on me. Marlon I liked from the first. Same with Naomi. -
Whew - the actor playing Will Mondrich is FINE! I need to pay more attention to him-lol Cousin Jack clearly catching’ feelings for his mother-in-law-to-be. MESSY. Still love the Kate/Anthony sex scene. Tender and sexy, it totally paid off all those almost kisses.

Benedict and Colin razzing Anthony was hilarious. And not one lie was told by them. The longer Anthony drones on about his duty, the more I want to yell “Shut up, Frodo!” at him. The entire wedding, all I could think about Anthony and Kate was “Y’all messy af” *smh* I truly love the turn Edwina takes in this episode. Beautifully acted by Charithra Chandran.

On my re-watch I'm realizing that Edwina really was blind about what was happening between Kate and Anthony. She was looking at them and seeing two people whose antagonism was getting in the way of her dream life. Meanwhile, everyone else - Lady Danbury, Mama Bridgerton, Daphne - was looking at them and seeing reality. Feel bad for the poor kid.
-
Bless Lady Featherington's scammy little heart. I just know if she lived in the 21st century, she'd be heavily involved in MLMs. This re-watch is reinforcing how much I like both Edwina and Kate. High Benedict may be the best Benedict.

Lady Danbury saying "Mmm" is a whole mood.
-
I've started my re-watch, and Mrs. Varley is even more delightful than I'd remembered. Her shade is epic and I am here for all of it.

Sending her love and strength and hoping she's ok. -
I half-watched highlights of Ruud/Cilic. Why was the crowd booing Ruud?

Just finished the latest season and I loved it. They had some excellent guest stars this season, especially Orla Brady in the last episode. Of course, I'll miss Florence (Josephine Jobert was one of my favorite parts of this show), but I like the dynamic of the new team. Naomi is truly a find - love her! Do we know if the show will be back for a 12th season? -
I am still laughing at the show name Business Throne. 😄

I really enjoyed it. Jane Seymour and Rohan Nedd have great chemistry. And Kevin Ryan is also fun as her exasperated detective son. Jane is clearly having a great time with the role. Hope it gets renewed.

Thank you! Gonna watch after work today! -
That was the most I have ever liked Q. Oh hey, Wesley! The Borg in the Federation? Whoa. But I dig it. Would love to know what the hybrid Borg queen got up to in the 400 years. Tallinn sacrificing herself gave me all the feels. Same with Picard getting closure. And Elnor lives! Well done, show!

Number One was still taking folks out while injured! Respect. -
😅 I don't hate Filip, but this cracked me up.

My reaction every time Anthony said "I am a gentleman" during this season -
Why does everyone in this movie mumble their dialogue?
-
Peter 3 saying "I always wanted brothers" made me smile so wide.

Poor Tyler looked heartbroken when his grandfather told him to get out. Enjoyed seeing Tyler and Erika working together. Erika signing her name to that letter to CMS took a lot of guts. Good for her. Elizabeth and Sunny's relationship will never not be jacked up to me. Their last couple of scenes were legit harrowing. "I just fell in love with government bureaucracy, and I don't care who knows it!" lol

Edwina: Was I truly that blind? Me: Is this a trick question?
-
Oh he absolutely is. But I'm thinking more about his interactions with other people, like John Carreyrou and Phyllis Gardener, who are ostensibly his allies. He seems irritated by them.

Is it me or is Richard Fuisz one of those people who is committed to feeling aggrieved?

I listened to Tyler Shultz's podcast that he did for Audible. It's pretty intense. He recounts in great detail the threats and intimidation Theranos threw at him. @Johnny Dollar is exactly right that Elizabeth, Sunny, and their lawyers put Erika, Tyler, and so many more through hell.
