  1. Just started watching this show with the latest series. Pleasantly surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. I thought it might be a bit too gritty for my cozy mystery-loving self, but Endeavour is an appealing lead, even if he is messy af-lol Also, I like Roger Allam much more in this than in Murder in Provence.
  2. John Burton, who plays Sgt. Goodfellow, has posted pics from season 10 filming on his Twitter.
  3. Same. Anna and Jack didn't have much chemistry, and I'm glad the writers did the misdirection of making us think he was going to leave with her, but instead had him move back to be with his daughter, Siobhan.
  4. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed Jack. He had an easy rapport with all of the characters and never took himself too seriously.
  5. The two-parter where Patrice is killed and Florence leaves is one that I don't rewatch much (and I've rewatched this show a lot since discovering it last year). Always makes me sad. I also enjoy Jack's episodes, but I am probably in the minority in that I didn't find Poole's eccentricities endearing. I actually found his constant complaining about the island a bit obnoxious - particularly in the first season. As a result, he's probably my least favorite of the inspectors. I did like Humphrey, even if I did find him irritating at times-lol
  6. Rewatching the series and I like the two-hander nature of this episode. Yes, the plot is very much secondary, but Kuiil is a great character and the mudhorn sequence is just superb.
  7. I want the costumer designer for this show to be my stylist! Agatha's looks are always on point.
  8. Just finished the first season. This show is a delight! I need season 2 NOW! And we need more than 6 episodes!
  9. I love Agatha Raisin and Father Brown, so I could be into this. Who am I kidding - of course I will watch it-lol Edited to add: I'm still holding out hope for a spinoff featuring Camille, Ruby, and Madeleine solving murder mysteries in Paris.
  10. One of the most surprising and delightful developments of the season. I particularly loved seeing Wickie have the realization - "Wait, I'm in love with a normal?" Renee Elise Goldsberry is so fun on this show.
  11. Way behind and catching up. Just saw this episode last night and really enjoyed it. Loved the actresses playing Jenna and Shareen. When we found out that I.T. guy was in on the counterfeiting I was like "Et tu, Nerdy I.T. guy?"
  12. Rewatching season 11, and I really am liking Darlene as a member of the team. And I'm loving the styling for both her and Naomi.
  13. I do wish the library scene had been longer. Not to pick on the Featherington's storyline (I thought it was fine), but they could've shaved a few minutes off of the screen time for that to give us a bit more Kate/Anthony bonding time. Ah well, hope they make up for it in S3.
  14. Completely agree with this. Loved the fight choreo and scenes in this movie. So thrilled to hear about the sequel. I rewatched a few weeks ago and immediately was like I need the sequel NOW!
  15. I have been trying to figure out how to articulate this, so thank you for doing it for me 🙂 The scene where Kate begs Anthony to marry Edwina is super frustrating to watch for this exact reason. They're both so out of touch with their emotions that they cannot see how their actions are hurting Edwina *smh*
  16. What a great article! I love reading about all the crew involved. They're so integral to the making of a show, and it's nice when they get spotlighted. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Every time I watch that scene where Anthony is trying to convince Edwina to marry him, I yell at the TV. When Edwina asks if he loves her and he pauses and responds "I understand you," I just rage. Just what every woman wants to hear. Ugh! And then, he actually had the nerve to be surprised that Edwina was harsh with him (not harsh enough, IMO). Like WTF did you expect when you were eye fucking her sister AT THE ALTAR! Edwina's read of both him and Kate was great, but honestly, she could have gone much farther than she did. And I say this as someone that adores Kanthony.
  18. I agree with this. Once Anthony realized what was happening between him and Kate, he should have stopped courting Edwina. I think it was wrong for him to even pursue her, knowing that she wanted a love match and he didn't. I'm still mad that he went back to her after she left the altar and tried to convince her to go ahead with the wedding.
  19. Just watched "Returnity" and I marveled at Wickie being able to resist Sheawn, the Lunch Lord. Cuz Chad L. Coleman is hot af! Edited: Finished the finale, and I now I cannot get "B.P.E." out of my head!
  20. The creators of Dark, Jantje Friese and Baran Bo Odar, are back with a new series, 1899. Articles Behind the Scenes: 1899 Netflix Drops First Trailer for Mystery Series ‘1899’ From Creators of ‘Dark’
  21. I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes Penelope. And I agree - it's hard to square the character we see with the snarky narrator. But I guess that's where she expresses that part of her personality. LW papers does seem to be an outlet for her.
  22. One fascinating aspect of their story was how taking on the obligations after losing their fathers led to them not being in touch with their own feelings and needs. I think that’s partly why they both went back and forth between fighting their feelings for each other and giving into them. Um, me? LOL. I enjoyed Dorset so much. When he was talking about possibly visiting Kate in India, I was kinda getting into it. Whew - there is A LOT of that on this show. 😆 I am curious to see how the relationship between Kate and Lady Violet unfolds next season. They're both strong personalities, so I wonder if that will cause any friction.
  23. Finished my rewatch this evening, and I enjoyed the season even more the second time. Wow - on this rewatch Eloise and Theo grew on me. Totally did not see that coming. That Eloise/Penelope showdown was rough watching. Well played by both Nicola and Claudia, but damn that was hard to watch. Friend breakups always hurt my feelings. Cried again over the Kate/Lady Mary and Anthony/Lady Violet scenes. Anthony sure knows how to clear a room-lol I hope marriage to Kate mellows Anthony out. He needs to stop being so uptight. “Impostor, party of two?” For season 3, I want more Eloise/Benedict scenes.
