The thread for the 9/29 episode is closed for some reason so I will post here (sorry). Rebecca and Zied - he's using Rebecca's money to buy her her own engagement ring? Say what, now? And when Zied saw Rebecca's ex BF's picture on her phone he had his hand around her neck and it looked like it hurt. Avery and Omar - I used to really like Omar but I'm getting vibes like Avery's gonna wind up with a beating at some point. His true colors are starting to show. He's getting annoyed with Avery's behavior and they've only been together 5 days. Speaking of getting a beating, Angela and Michael - Angela better get her emotions under control. She keeps getting physically violent all the time (in a foreign country yet!). One of these days she's gonna come across the wrong person. She's too old for the violent outbursts. The baby story is straight up stupid and I'm getting bored with it already. Tim and Jennifer - fast forward. I'm wondering if the guy even likes girls. Jennifer's shirt says she likes girls so there's that... Tom and Darcey - Oy. Darcey is too damned old to have her girls hanging out like that. I had second-hand embarrassment for that as well as her drunken meltdown. It was all so painful to watch. Darcey certainly needs intense therapy. Darcey and Stacey's relationship is mega effed up. I couldn't stand being around them for 5 minutes. Don't make me side with Jessie now, Darcey needs to stop drinking, period. Ben and Akinyi - They should not get married because she doesn't want to step into the role of a step parent. They do not belong together. Ben's son Greyson deserves better. I didn't like the way Akinyi sort of set Ben up (put him in a bad position) when she admitted her father didn't know she was staying at the BnB overnight. I was getting visions of Jenny and Sumit, where Sumit's family stormed Jenny's BnB and all hell broke loose. I am worried Ben is going to get set up by Akinyi and her family and demand money because Ben "ruined" Akinyi's reputation by having her sleep overnight without being married. Cesar (and no one) - What in hell is he doing repacking those candy panties? And he's not embarrassed getting his luggage checked at some point?

And when Daniel's heavy lidded eyes blink that everrr slow blink with his mouth hanging open. Naw, I can't ....

Daniel's mom has got some big balls for real. She should be happy Lizzy is interested in Daniel at this point. As if he's some big catch. Daniel's mom should have been hovering over her son when he was running the streets getting into trouble. NOW she wants to insert herself into the minutiae? I wonder how filming going forward is going to play out now that there's restraining orders sprinkled in with jail time, probation, etc. This show is gonna be hella disjointed if half the cast doesn't want to work with other cast members, etc. They'd better play nice/make nice or the cast is gonna see their way out of some looooong Bravo paychecks.

My gosh. Darcy's insecurity/competition with her sister really hit a new, aggravating low for me when she had to change into heels so she wouldn't be shorter than her sister. It must be so exhausting to feel you have to compete like that all the time. It's like Darcy is compelled and cannot turn it off. I think the reason why Darcy cried at the honeymoon bridge in Albania (or whatever it was called) had ZERO to with Darcy being concerned and wanting the British guy (whatever his name is/Tom?) to have a good time on the trip- and 100 million percent with dude saying he didn't think about marriage often. Darcy is jealous that her sister has a fiance and she doesn't. Darcy just exhausts me. Hate her perpetual desperate energy. And apparently Tom does too. He looked like he wanted to jump off the bridge.

I really hated the way Akini's family treated Ben. I cosign on everything the OP said except that it would have been nice if Ben brought a few gifts to the house. Having said that, Ben must have been suffering from terrible jet lag and the fact that Akini sprung stuff on Ben last minute that instead of the Air bnb he paid for and rented, he was now being forced to stay at the brother's house. I think getting that info last minute would rattle anyone.

No, not really cheaper in the suburbs because the country is very small and land is at a premium. Also, the "key money" concept is a goldmine for landlords because its like getting an interest-free loan for a minimum of two years or more and rest-assured that system is not going away anytime soon. Nothing is cheap apartment-wise in Korea or Japan. Korea has 52 million people living in a country the size of Indiana. They are forced to build up (not out) because of this. Modern single-standing homes are not very common. And Jihoon saying those lies about needing just a few months to get the rent money together so they can move out? Huh? I have married Korean friends (several) that had to live with parents/in-laws after marriage for several years in order to save the money to get their first place. And once they started having babies two, three years after getting hitched the process took even longer cause raising kids is obviously an extra added expense that slows the savings process down. Culturally, it is common for three generations of Koreans to live under one roof but its also a financial issue. "Love Hotels" are a common thing in Korea (pay by the hour) and its not just for businessmen and hookers. Plenty of married couples pay for a few hours of alone time because they have no privacy at home. This will be Deavan and Jihoon before you know it.

I don't know. Travis' drinking problem is starting to make this show a bit dark and I love me some BDM for great views, amazing food, weirdo guests, etc. Travis has really got a serious drinking problem and I hope he's watching current episodes so he can actually cringe along with the rest of America at his behavior. Travis ruins every outing the crew goes on and I don't blame Hannah and Anastasia for calling him out on it. The crew is cooped up most of the time and not able to get off the boat regularly to relax and Travis makes problems and ruins every outing it seems. Slapping Anastasia was also a hard NO (last episode?). You don't put your hands on people. Travis' slap was not cute nor funny and the fact that he was trying to justify it shows just what a drinking problem he has. I agree that its probably hard for Travis not to be hanging out with Jack as much and feeling abandoned but Jack doesn't ignore Travis. They still seem to hang out/joke plenty during their shifts. I think Travis' problem is deeper than that. I waffle back and forth with Captain Sandy. Some times I can tolerate her, other times I just dislike her and I haven't been liking her lately. This constant "cold food" issue is getting old. Like Ben said, get some cloches or dome covers for the food. Sandy was aware of how drunk those charter guests were. They were talking non-stop for probably 10-15 mins after the food was served, so yeah, it became cold. Plus the wind. Fixing the oven/stove would probably be helpful.

I haven't posted in forever, but I just have to weigh in on the Deavan/Jihoon fiasco that's about to unfold. Deavan obviously has no idea how the whole "getting a house/apartment/rental" situation is in South Korea. It costs several thousand dollars (think security deposit) to rent an apartment in Korea. It called paying "key money" or Chonsei. Japan has the same type of system. If Deavan thinks that they're going to plunk down first and last month's rent and move in like we do here in the States, no. It does not work that way. When I lived in Korea (and believe me, I lived no where near Seoul) my girlfriend and her husband lived in an efficiency apartment in our town with no elevator. In just an "okay" apartment building. They paid $25,000 U.S. to secure the apartment (called a "one room") and still had to paid $200 per month rent. Now, you do get the $25,000 back in full after your lease is up (usually 2 years) should you choose to move. When my friends moved to Seoul and had their baby, their 3 bedroom apartment cost $300,000 in key money. Plus whatever rent they paid. That was 15 years ago and you KNOW the prices have not gone down. Anything in Seoul (even dumps) are super, crazy expensive to rent. The point I'm trying to make is, unless Jihoon's parents loan them the money, no one's going anywhere. That's why Jihoon has obviously not secured the "house". And this dude doesn't even have a job and has bad credit? Jihoon said to Deavan "I haven't found a house". No, Jihoon, you can't afford a house. When Deavan was knocking the parents house saying "They don't even have their own bedrooms. They sleep on the couch." Yes, Deavan. Welcome to Seoul. Very expensive. And trust me, those parents put down a pretty penny for that apartment. On the plus side, the first thing all foreigners do when they get to Korea is get all their dental work done. First class dental care at super cheap prices.

Officially hating chef Mila. I cannot. I was listening to a podcast that rhymes with "Watch What Happens" and they said Mila LICKED one of the raw steaks and put it back down with the other steaks. Say what? I re-watched the episode and "Yep, she did that". I had to freeze frame it because the clip goes quickly. Hey chef Mila, did they teach you that at your Cordon Bleu trained culinary school? Good Gordon. Licking raw meat? No food poisoning there ... What was she trying to do there. I kept thinking "Man, I hope she's not cross contaminating the nachos (as she was sticking her bare hands in the tortilla chips). And, how can she not cook basic Mexican dishes? I recently took some night classes at my local community college and they have a 2-year culinary program. We have a "fine dining restaurant" and once a month a fancy 5-course dinner is highlighted from a different country. I don't get this chef. I see shades of chef Leon here. I honestly hope she's the one that gets fired but you just know it's gonna be one of the deck hands.

GTFOH. For real. Haven't posted but maybe twice or 3 times this past calendar year but damn, today I dusted off the keyboard to rant. LU ANNE??!!? So fucking disappointed in you, always loved you. but this was a HUUUGEEE miss. Publically apologize to Dorinda who was the greatest friend. Apologize to John as well. He will understand.

Good Gordon. Nina was really making some serious bank on that website. For just sitting at home. That was the biggest shocker/takeaway for me. I mean ... On another note, Miles and Nina are two tragic people. I shouldn't, but I feel a little sorry for Miles. Its for the best that things were cut off completely.
