  1. I really thought I remembered that there was such a thing, but I can’t find it now. Follow-up question: if not, where would discussion of those go?
  2. Wait, what? I thought James won, with Mattea and Matt as runners up. Sam, Amy, and Andrew were the “losers” which gave them an invite to the JIT.
  3. Sometimes I wonder, would it be worse to go on this show and have everyone in Netflix-land see all my dirty laundry, or to go on this show and then find out that I ended up on the cutting room floor. And every season, I say, no more! But then I get sucked in to another season. Good thing, though, so I can keep up with the cool kids’ vocab. First it was “giving xyz vibes” then “giving xyz” then just “giving”. What’s next!?!! Oh and I just noticed—for the one couple that actually did get through the ceremony, the officiant pronounced them “man and wife”. Does anyone actually use that phrase anymore? Apparently yes?
  4. Oops, sorry! I honestly didn’t think what I posted would be considered a spoiler. It’s too late to edit my post now but maybe if you flag it, a mod can put it behind a spoiler tag.
  5. As a former swim team kid mom, I would have been interested in buying that stretchy thing as a replacement for broken goggle straps. Assuming it really was stretchy enough to hold the goggles in place. and as a parent of a mom who had a bluetooth cradle and WiFi breast pumps, I really can’t see her paying 89/bottle to tell her the milk was too old. Sharpies, duh!
  6. Thank you, NSA, for securing an end to my streak of misinformation! Week 32: 1/5; overall: 55/150, 4/31* Contestants: 7/15
  7. As a girl child growing up in the 60s and reading a lot of books, pinafore was just there in my brain.
  8. I really like all these people so I guess I’m rooting for a 4-day final! Apologies to everyone waiting to get back to regular play. Especially Lucas.
  9. Goodness, how many of these people already knew each other? I couldn’t (be bothered to?) keep track - was it one big friend group, or separate sets of friends? The intro where they say “these 19 total strangers came to this place…” is starting to sound like false advertising.
  10. Peacock (US) 2024-04-04
  11. I wouldn’t have minded a Masters Losers’ rematch, but I’m also okay with two ladies and a stay at home dad. (Spoken as a parent of a stay at home dad and mil of an avid knitter.)
  12. I think it means what she thinks it means, but (and this never clicked for me until I just now looked it up) the word origin is probably not something she’d want to be perpetuating.
  13. At this point, I’m just hoping for a season where two of the guys or two of the women end up hitting an off and being the happily ever after couple.
  14. I’m tempted to make some kind of “…and he died!” joke, but I’m sure it would sound horribly disrespectful to anyone who isn’t a Freaks and Geeks fan.
  15. I’ve heard multiple positive comments about this but after four episodes, I’m not really feeling it, so to speak. I see the IMDb ratings go up in the later episodes, so I’ll probably stick with it, but it’ll definitely be a filler, not a binge.
  16. At least when Pat and Alex did the April 1st swap, they committed to the bit and did the whole show!
  17. You can also check him out in Poor Things Not for everyone! But not a role I would have expected him to turn up in.
  18. Did Grover turn into a teenager overnight or have I just not been paying attention? (Or both could be true.)
  19. I love how supportive the bakers are of each other. So far, anyway; I’m just two episodes in so far. I didn’t really like how the judges in episode 2 (when they had to taste the cakes for the tiebreaker) seemed to be judging so much on the construction. I thought at this point they were supposed to be judging on the cake itself. Or maybe I just made that up!
  20. I can vouch that it’s safe to open the link, but be sure to read the comments.
  21. Peacock (US) 2024-03-28 And… she’s gone! “That was so predictable!”
  22. Maybe I didn't describe it quite right - might have been "language"? Anyway, it wasn't an on/off option, it was more like English/English Descriptive Audio/Spanish/etc. My P+ deal has run out at the moment so I can't check and every streamer has it set up slightly differently (of course). But if you've gotten as far as the agent/engineers, it's obviously not something on your end. (Maybe they were trying to fix the bad default and made things even worse.)
  23. I've had that happen as well. Pretty sure it was Paramount+, maybe also MAX. But I could change it back to normal English through the audio options. For some reason, some shows kept defaulting back to Descriptive Audio or whatever it's called (basically the equivalent of closed captions, but for people with vision issues). Hasn't happened in a while, though (knock on wood).
