  1. I've stopped following the Bravolebrities on sm. I became weary of being sold stuff. When Cam was a castmember, her sm was more interesting to me. I didn't see Lily Pulitzer on the ^ above list, has that slowed or stopped?
  2. Yes, I guess I was wondering if that was an 'in name only' thing at this stage. Apparently, there aren't enough interesting people in Charleston to fill the casting slots.
  3. Is it worth noting that the producers continue to dredge up cast members in California? Landon, Ashley, Pringle..., 2 of them with the same/similar storyline of splitting with a spouse and returning to "their roots". Wouldn't be surprised to learn that they don't have roots there at all. Broken branches maybe, but no roots. I know that Whitney was supposedly the idea guy behind this show, and that he was then/is now living in California, but is he still an active behind the scenes guy?
  4. I will say something positive, and that is that I do like most of her exterior changes. I have always been a fan of adding natural wood accents, and I really like where she has done that, BUT, I also know that it is very difficult to maintain, and will likely not be the natural wood tones for long. After weathering, cedar will turn grey and drab unless you're willing to invest time, labor, and money annually.
  5. @irisheyes - just watched the same episode, and wow. Confirmed what I've thought about this "designer" every time I catch a show...all her taste is in her mouth. In general, she selects finishes that are verrry taste specific, her taste apparently. I don't know if this tiling of walls is a thing now, but it's a hard pass for me. As Irish said, it's far too difficult to change. There are ways to personalize your home without making such bold design statements. If you have a cash fountain in your back 40 acres, go for it. Also, her staging is way, way too cluttered for my taste. Lastly, a home built in 1979 is NOT mid-century modern, by anyone's definition but hers. Stop.Saying.That. Oops, one more. Saying "mud space" as opposed to mudroom makes me stabby. When did it become triggering to use the word "room"?
  6. I have recently seen an advertisement for either a paint brand or a paint-selling store brand (I think it's the former) that has an app or something that enables you to download a photo of your room, and show different paint colors on the walls. Maybe you could research something like that, and at least take some of the unknown out of the equation.
  7. Aw thanks, but I meant I wish his donation would have worked. Yes, thanks.
  8. Nothing says producer interference more than a man moving to the opposite end of the country, away from his children when they are particularly vulnerable due to a divorce, so that he can reconnect with his roots or whatever the hell excuse they provided for that nonsense. The Madison thing is over the top, predictable, faux drama. Kathryn looks awful. Just awful. I'm not even referring to her weight. Her skin looks bad, her hair looks bad, and as usual, her styling is laughable. I see Danni is going to be a placeholder again this season. <yawn>

  10. I guess I look at this photo filtering thing from a different angle than most. I wouldn't alter a photo of myself for social media, only to then appear in public and dispel the trickery, lol. Same way I feel about divulging my age. I'm inclined to bump it up by 5-10 years, with the hope that people will think I look good for my age.
  11. Yeah, she'll be 80 soon, so mobility can became an issue. I'm a couple of decades younger and Costco damn near did me in yesterday, lol.
  12. Yeah. It's a hot topic that has me on the fence a bit. Probably best I don't get started on that, lol.
  13. All indications are that this is exactly what they are, in addition to being revenue machines for the schools/tv networks/sports books.
  14. To use a non-political example, I call ^this phenomenon the Jerry Springering of America.
  15. Bethenny's bikinis are all fitted with paparazzi homing devices. Apparently.
  16. You and I sound like the same person, as my hubs is also 14.5 yrs my senior. Unfortunately, his health issues won't accomodate any sort of outside work, at all. He had a p/t gig lined up for when he finally retired, but alas, it wasn't to be. Don't back down with your hubs though. As you well know, the older we get, the larger that age gap becomes, and anything you can do to keep from becoming a full time caregiver is a plus. I'm just starting to come to terms with how things have turned out, and trying to make the best of it, for both of us.
  17. I appreciate your sentiments, however he has extremely limited interests outside of his former industry/work life, and his body is rapidly breaking down to the point that physical activity is nearly out of the question. Not the 'golden years' either of us anticipated.
