  1. Yes! Shoeboots. Why we needed the bread wrappers - to make the boots easier to put on and pull off. I think, lol. Seems odd though, as I could actually use that assistance now that I'm an old fart more than I needed it as a 10-yr old, lol. Shoe bags looked like this: (shape/style)
  2. Particularly since likes and dislikes are as varied as the people who will be eating. I would eat pretty much any meat, but no, I don't like mushrooms or green peppers contrary to the universally held notion that everyone does. Plain cheese would be the safest bet to offend the fewest.
  3. I totally get the hesitation with freelance work, but if you wait for the "right time", you'll never do it. I dove in, created a job for myself that lasted almost 18 years. The great recession pretty much put an end to it unfortunately, but I made a lot of money; much more than I would have as a regular employee. Risk/reward.
  4. Yeah, he's too self-indulgant here for my taste and frankly, dishonest with himself. All of that "the world is against me" stuff serves to insulate him from accepting criticism, even the constructive sort. I would have to go back and review his designs as a memory refresh, but the last couple weren't anything to brag about imo. I wish him well going forward.
  5. While I liked the winning look, headscarf and all, I really did think that Aaron's was the truest to the challenge objective. If I need to go out somewhere in the same clothes that I've been wearing while couch surfing, I would only do it with a face covering and dark glasses. Seriously. Another far-fetched challenge, with convoluted instructions imo. In another vein, why is it so difficult to design and FIT clothing for larger women? I realize that the fayshun industry would like to operate on the notion that all they really need to do is manufacture clothing that would favor an ironing board, but there really is more to the garment industry. I can't speak to worldwide statistics, but I believe that more than 50% of the female population in the USA is at or north of a size 14. To blame the model for the horrible fit of Zayden's garment is maddening.
  6. This. The only way I want to see Octavio's sleeved nightmare, is with said sleeves tied behind his back while he's being transported to the nutbarn.
  7. Not worried, bored. Does anyone under 35 know her for anything but psoriasis Rx ads? She should submit her name for Botox ads next, just in case the Cosentyx money dries up. This performance was nothing more than an in-show commercial.
  8. 20 years and counting? josh-duggar-verdict-child-pornography-trial
  9. Pretty sure it is. Maybe they have a sense of humor and it is a floating holiday or something?
  10. For no particular reason, I went down the Prue/Mary rabbit hole and found this. Was interesting to me and thought I'd share. Prue-vs-Mary-Berry
  11. If we were going off credentials, it would seem that Prue has it over Paul. I can see where his popularity could advance, based on his looks/presence etc. I like them both, but would agree that a better judge chemistry has to be out there somewhere. When push comes to shove, I believe that Prue would lose out, Dame or no Dame.
  12. Kevin Costner is 67, Piper Perabo is 45. To me, John Dutton has been a bit "trail aged" by make up artists. I don't think PP looks more than maybe a couple years younger than her age.
  13. Nancy looked fantastic! That haircut took years off of her.
  14. Happened across this pic. Wow. BernNadette looks amazing. L to R second pic: Jimmy Walker / BernNadette Stanis / Ralph Carter
  15. Suggestion for DWTS - Take a cue from The Big Leap (Fox, Monday 9pm), and ditch the celebudolts altogether, and revamp the show with 'every day people'. Oh, and rehire Tom Bergeron. I'm meh on Aaron Andrews. Haven't watch 10 seconds of this latest season, but to be honest, I haven't watched much for the last 3 seasons.
  16. I'm old enough to remember hearing people use the term 'PG' to describe a pregnant woman, as I guess pregnant was just too scandalous a word to utter in public.
  17. I too am beyond frustrated with the incestuous cross promotion of the spin-offs. We get it. If I want to spend $however$many$ bucks to watch them, I will. Meanwhile, can we just have Yellowstone? Please?
  18. I'm already supporting public television, so thanks but no thanks, lol.
