So sorry you're going through it. My mom makes three now that I've lost to the long-term care system (she's not gone gone, she's just gone). I would like to give you a pep talk, but I've got nothing. Allow as much time for your own peace as you possibly can. I've gained a solid appreciation for dying in one's sleep, even if "too young". Living into one's 90's and beyond while propped up by pharmaceuticals, unable to see, hear, control one's own functions...nah, pass.
