Sidewalk clearing is a perennial topic in the snowy part of the calndar here. A few years back, the then mayor enacted an ordinance which was largly ignored, and protested by many, with the reasoning that there were folks who could not physically perform the task nor pay to have it done, and the mandate disappeared. It is extrmely frustrating. When I walked to school (gasp!) as a youth, there was rarley an issue with sidwalks. Homowners cleared them. Now, the city doesn't even take care of the publically owned proprties. Coming soon - endless debates about proprties not being mowed. R.I.P. personal responsibility/accountability.

I started with Rx strength Nexium - gosh, probably 20-25 yrs ago now., and recently switched to the OTC Prilosec due to..."issues" 😒 with insurance. The Prilosec doesn't work quite as well for me, but it's manageable. I've taken this medication every day for all these years. I know there are reported side effects, but like you, I couldn't exist without it. If I go daft in my old age for it, oh well. I might just as well be daft, based on what I've seen of old age.
