  1. I'm with you; exhausting. We have Netflix at $16 something/mo., Azn Prime at who-knows-what-cuz-hell-no-that-chit-isn't-free, just signed up for basic Hulu at $.99/mo for a year. I've signed up and dropped countless others after the free intro period. We really don't watch Netflix very much at all, but Ozark is coming, and hubs would have a conniption if we cancelled before that final season... Soon will need a spread sheet and a 2nd job.
  2. They are jerks. We only have cable TV and internet, and it would take a forensic accountant to find what I'm paying for cable now, vs when I tell them to shove their tv service. Evil geniuses.
  3. I can say with absolute conviction, that if I never saw another episode of Friends, I would not feel unfulfilled. In fact, can Jennifer Aniston just get off my television? Please and thank you.
  4. My thoughts as well. The show is far too popular to go away...for long. They have no doubt figured a way to increase the revenue, we just don't know it yet. My adversarial relationship with the teevee grows with every passing day. Television watching shouldn't require the investment line item expense that it now has in my household. This is getting out of control. Cutting the cable cord will end up meaning nothing.
  5. That must have been it, because even after the model demonstrated a Porter-esque sashay, the original stilted walk was used when leaving down the runway.
  6. Bones handled that kerfuffle far better than Aaron, and frankly, surprised me with the maturity he showed in doing so.
  7. It was one of my least favorites. I didn't find it particularly compelling, original, or avant garde. We've seen the hanging strips thing from too many designers, too many times on PR. The headpiece was the only saving grace for me, and even that bugged, with the way it moved so freely. The only one I liked less was Octavio's/partner's (I'm terrible with name retention) animal print hooker monstrosity. For me, the pink quilted dress & coat lining was the best part of that look, though I would agree in hindsight that it was too heavy when coupled with the bulbous patchwork fur coat, and it was a faux fur challenge. The rear view of Aaron/Bones' garment was the best part of it. I didn't think that forcing a high collar framework thingy necessarily made it avant garde. It was an elegant looking gown, again, not necessarily avant garde. Maybe I'm the one who doesn't understand what avant garde is, lol. They correctly chose the obvious winner. I agree with the ^poster who pegged Chasity as being a little too self enamored.
  8. Only two of those actors are still alive now; Michael McKean (Lenny) 74 yrs old, and Cindy Williams (Shirley) 74 yrs old.
  9. That whole scene, while wholly unnecessary, made me more than a little uncomfortable. Just me?
  10. No need to worry about Brit. britney-spears-mocks-therapy-skit-conservatorship
  11. I don't get the impression that Katy's esthetic changes with time, or that she is trying to be current with any prairie trend. I think it is what she wants to wear, is a capable tailor/sewer, and would like to monitize her own style. Someone at PR apparently felt it was worthy of a place in this cast, which is to me, the real mystery. With that, I don't intend to spend any more time thinking about her. She is as they say, dunzo.
  12. Party of one, this episode almost made me angry it was so bad. I know, I know, it's not 9-1-1's job to be realistic, but do they have to be so good at being bad at it?
  13. This is how I remember Arlene Dahl, when she was a bit older than the image in ^that link:
  14. Probably the single reason that we haven't completely cut the cable TV cord, is that my husband, being a prolific TV watcher, simply cannot watch one program at a time. The flipping back and forth between channels, coupled with the menu porn (studying for the next hour's flipping exercizes) will be vewy vewy difficult to break. High anxiety indeed.
  15. Yes, the voice is unmistakable. I did recognize him, but boy, he has aged monumentally since I last saw him on a show. Since he has had a part in literally every show ever made, that's sort of hard to imagine, but still... He is a treasure that will soon be gone I fear. He's only 81, but maaannnn he looked bad, and unless the makeup team is the best in the business (they could be), he doesn't look well to me.
  16. I'm in camp 'well that was an hour I won't get back'. ZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZ
  17. We streamed Mad Men on IMDB 'channel'. It is a free stream option.
  18. I completely understand your point. I just know that I would likely be more defeated by the reasons I would create in my imagination. I'm funny that way, lol.
