  1. I agree!! Skyy has become one of my favorite episodes. The Jones Girls episode was also very good, but they had the jealousy and addiction issues that weren't there with the sisters in Skyy. Here's my list of favorite episodes (in no particular order): Atlantic Starr, Peaches & Herb, KC & The Sunshine Band, The Spinners, The Sylvers, The Chi-Lites, Donny Hathaway, The Emotions, DeBarge, Switch, The Marvelettes, Shalamar, Deniece Williams, Rose Royce, Shanice, Heatwave, The Jets, Billy Paul, 702, Blue Magic, Billy Preston, Me'lisa Morgan and The Whispers. The two-hour disco episode was a real treat. Subjects I'd like to see in future episodes? I've wanted them to profile Syreeta Wright for years. I'd also like to see an episode about Peabo Bryson, but would he be considered unsung? Another idea I have is Lalah Hathaway. Her dad was the subject of one of the very first episodes of this show. She's been recording for over three decades, has several Grammys to her name and her albums almost always get critical acclaim, but she's never seemed to break out into mainstream stardom. I'm glad that the show is still going and that quality episodes are still being produced. I just wish they'd show more reruns of the earlier seasons.
  2. Jay even moved from Johnny's studio to a smaller studio in the NBC Burbank complex with the extended platform on the stage to make it more like a comedy club; to be physically closer to the audience. It was a wise move to do so and that was when Jay started to feel his sea legs again. He and his staff were aware early on of what worked and what didn't, and were smart enough to make changes.
  3. Yes, especially after 30 years of Johnny Carson. Who WASN'T going to find being the guy to replace him tough going???
  4. Great for Ana, bummer for us. In that case, too bad they couldn't have gone with just Whoopi, Joy, Sara and Sunny.
  5. That is a great photo. Sunny looks about 20 years younger than she really is. 😊
  6. In Cleveland, a kid named Owen Miller was called up from AAA this past Sunday. The camera was on his beaming family several times during his MLB debut. His brother even skipped his HS graduation to be there.
  7. We all realize that rain delays can be boring, but most people don't do things like this. I wonder how many beers were consumed here... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si.com/.amp/extra-mustard/2021/05/27/nationals-park-nude-streaker-tarp-roller-video
  8. I cringed when I saw MM today knowing that what happened in San Jose would be discussed. I knew she would go all Second Amendment and then try to go off topic, like she always does. Would it have been too much for ABC to sit her out this time and bring Ana in?
  9. @Cobb Salad, I thought of you last night when I heard "Mel? Mel?" 🤣😂
  10. Along the same lines, I don't know how this flew under our collective radar. Roberto Alomar is also in hot water with MLB for sexual misconduct allegations. This WaPo article was published almost a month ago: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2021/04/30/roberto-alomar-mlb-ineligible-list/%3foutputType=amp
  11. And, of course, a certain someone is not amused by last night's cameo and accompanying jokes: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nydailynews.com/snyde/ny-richard-marx-srand-paul-song-stephen-colbert-20210526-k6m7rg7nnrcsvaobhm54fkmt2a-story.html%3foutputType=amp
  12. Morale has apparently sunk even lower since the show was shut out of the Daytime Emmy nominations for the first time in years: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thesun.co.uk/tv/15067726/the-talk-hosts-snubbed-emmy-nominations-sharon-osbourne-exit/amp/
  13. I was hoping for a permanent ban, but I guess this is better than nothing. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/31516235/mlb-bans-mickey-callaway-least-2023-season-investigation%3fplatform=amp
  14. Or when you are doing major cleaning around the house.
  15. I remember the disagreement, but not what they were disagreeing about! They kept it civil and they moved on when they went to the next topic.
  16. Yeah, I found the link. The Richard Marx bit starts around the 7:40 mark.
  17. Yes, that's what it was when I went to the Tonight Show taping. I was 18 then, but my sister was 16. Our dad went with us. I too am trying to find the Richard Marx bit. It was hilarious and brought back great nostalgia, as I grew up listening to his songs. I'll have to check out his book.
  18. If it's this bad now, imagine when they get back together in the studio. It will only get worse from here.
  19. That was hilarious - and Richard actually has a sense of humor, unlike Rand Paul.
  20. When I went to a taping of Jay Leno's way back in the late 1990s, it was 16 and over allowed in. Of course, that was years ago and the rules might be different for people wanting to see Stephen. I'll have to look that up. Yes, Stephen and Jon both looked so happy about being together again and in front of a live audience. I'm happy for them, the band and the crew, but I'm going to miss the little supply closet and Evie. But, we'll all adjust.
  21. Here's the latest entry in the bizarre injuries file: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wkyc.com/amp/article/sports/mlb/indians/cleveland-indians-zach-plesac-injured-list-fractured-thumb-taking-shirt-off/95-136a59fe-3add-4b0c-ac5d-15c8d67bfb67
  22. Yes, and Netflix, Peacock, etc., as well.
