This is the Wayward Wonders spin off intro and I'm not fond of that nag Missouri - but trying to be enthusiastic.

What????!!!!! What did he do? Constantly rub it all over himself - germaphobe? I don't bother with many of these episodes (all pretty much alike) but that does sound different. Why are so many people addicted these days? Is life really that bad?

Hoarding: Buried Alive - General Discussion
Pondlass1 replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Hoarding: Buried Alive
These hoarders must have fantastic immune systems. I can't watch - not because of raw sewage and bugs - but because of the annoyingly sympathetic psychologist "he/she has the final say" as the hoarder stands amid piles of steaming dung and fusses over a plushy toy dripping with filth. Ugh! The people who suffer most are next door neighbours. I'd be furious. -
They always used to wear bikinis or swimsuits or swim trunks. What is the reasoning behind the underwear? Is it to spice things up? Because let's be honest... it's all the same season after season now. The show needs a shake up and change of format.

S02.E09: The Business of Religion
Pondlass1 replied to italianguy626's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
It's weird to me that they keep referring to it as "the Church" and "parishioners". As someone pointed out - it's really just a VERY expensive book club that you cannot unsubscribe from. The members that are free to come and go surely must see that the Co$ isn't doing anything to help anyone (as shown in the glossy videos). All the terrible weather events lately - I've not heard the news reporter saying ... YAY here comes the Scientologists to save the day and offer help. They've not donated one red cent. I guess the hurricanes and earthquakes are the peoples' own fault? -
S02.E09: The Business of Religion

Suppose you're a drug addict from the streets who's lost everything - family, home, job but you want to turn your life around. All other churches would welcome, take you in and offer help. Not this cult, I guess. They'd be holding our their hand for cold hard cash first. I'm really enjoying this series, it's presented so well. What an eye opener. Money really is the route of all evil. -
Riverdale seems to suddenly be doing well in the ratings? Jumped up quite a bit. I do wish they'd move Supernatural back to 9pm. That timeslot works better with my life. But I did read somewhere that 9pm on a Thursday evening is THE most expensive timeslot of the week.

Born and raised in London, England - I have no clue about American football - they seem to spend way too much time standing about. Most homes have more than one TV, so if one partner is watching sports and the other is watching Supernatural and the household has a Nielsen box - I wonder which gets counted? Maybe both? Thing is - people don't have to watch live any more. They can record and FF thru commercials (23 minutes worth now). The whole way of viewing TV offerings is about to go thru some sort of paradigm shift I think. Commercials are going to have to be inserted somehow. Maybe the FF button will be disabled or more product placement (Dean swigging back a bottle of Jensen's beer -- lol).

I don't know if this is the right thread - but I've been reading a number of online reviews on the first two episodes and they are consistent in one area. It's an area that bothers me too. Namely - conversations. No one has them. Obvious conversations, things said, questions or attitudes you'd expect. And there have been so many missed opportunities, especially with the Jack character. It's such limited writing.

I wish Dr. Phil would do more follow up shows or even a short sequence or catch up chat with someone (like they do on Intervention). I really wonder how many success stories there are. Despite the dire dilemmas it all just ends with sending someone off to a dual diagnosis centre. What happens to them? Did it work? The dual diagnosis centre must be jam packed with Dr. Phil guests.

Off topic : anyone ever watched the Brit Zombie series Dead Set... Zombies meet Big Brother. The zombies don't stumble along.. They run.. And fast! It's on Netflix
-
I don't follow ratings, but I thought the ratings for this show were thru the roof. Although I have to admit the thrill is slowing fading for me. It's all the same story over and over. And nowadays the zombies are swatted away like flies. There's no real tension or suspense like there was in the beginning. Zombies present no threat. It's the loony power hungry people. Would we really be like this in the event of an apocalypse? I don't really think so.

The whole Negan Can't Die plot is now beyond annoying. How much longer must we put up with this stupidity? How many more episodes is Negan in?

The pig looked delicious and cooked all the way through. Larry missed a great meal.

Is life so bad for Karine, Abby and Jenny ? America has poverty too, it certainly isn't all mansions and swimming pools like in the movies. All three men have little to offer and they'd be stuck in a strange land with no friends or family or even properly knowing the language, dependent on complete losers. Life would be particularly awful for Karine - who seems like a really decent girl. Jenny would probably fare the best. On the other hand, Miriam, Antonio and Darcy's guy (can't remember his name) have no desire to leave their countries. They are in it for the money (assuming they're paid) and the limelight. And I'm so glad 'smellavision' hasn't been invented every time Paul is onscreen. Ugh! I thought he was supposed to be a germaphobe? You can almost see the bacteria on him. He looks so dirty. Run Karine Run! Your life isn't so bad.

I get the feeling Jensen is well aware of the extra time in the makeup chair to cover his tattoo. But shirtless scenes are few and far between on Supernatural - so no big deal. I'm not overly keen on his choice of design, but it means something to him so that's what's important. What did Jim Beaver respond? Is it on twitter?

Living on the streets ages you. When she's in her 20s she'll look like she's in her 40s. But I think she's a lost cause. Even Phil thought so.

So.... Season 14 is a given?
