The Cas scenes were boring and why would the empty have a floor and gravity if it's empty? He'd float about surely? Will Jack abandon Sam for Cas now? Dean's instincts and fighting skills wax and wane according to plot and writer - (the guy that took out a whole vampire nest got killed by a wraith last week). Are there different varieties of shapeshifter? Some cast off yucky skin others just seem to change ( a la the episode with Magnus). It was a weak storyline. The B plot MOTW stories are getting pretty thin. Isn't this supposed to be a horror show? A guy pulling off his face doesn't cut it. (Remember when Dean climbed up on that scarecrow? Oh The tension. I didn't breathe for 5 minutes.... those days are long gone). The impatient Dean versus patient Sam scenes are getting irritating. They're being wrongly written too ... surely Dean would be the brother so determined that mum was still alive. Sam gives up on people usually if you check the history. And there's so much left unsaid in their arguments it's driving me to drink. I'm not particularly bothered whether the spawn of Satan turns evil or not, but Dean's approach makes the most sense to me. Sam's using him, let's face it. The actor portraying Jack is doing a good job, tho. But it's all a bit like Connor from Angel. Daddy will get out of the AU and influence him to turn on everyone, Cas will be the voice for good .... yadda yadda yadda. Bin there done that. Anyway, at least the episode didn't drag and probably was entertaining to the casual viewer. Fingers crossed for good ratings.

I'd enjoy a season without angels and demons. (Can anyone tell the difference any more?).

Thanks for this @Katy M. Your notion makes sense. It always irritated me that demons hung out in that cold dank place wearing suits - why weren't they in the fires of hell stirring cauldrons? But they started out as humans so they'd tend to gravitate towards that realm maybe, and the place would be thick with evil I guess. May head canon also tells me that demons are weaker now because they've been topside for so long. At the beginning they could merely wave a finger and stick S&D to the wall. Now it's a fist fight, then the knife.

Supernatural Bitterness & Unpopular Opinions: You All Suck
Pondlass1 replied to mstaken's topic in Supernatural
Thanks also for link. I find myself watching early seasons most of the time. I liked the gritty dark tragic story we got back then . Carver gave us soap, Dabb just wants shock & awe without substance or sense. -
I wish the host asked follow up questions instead of staring wide eyed at the prompter. She's not the right person to host this type of tell-all. Jesse and Darcy could have been putting on a show - they walked off holding hands. But Abby needs acting lessons. Chris has moved on from her - not the other way around. There's a lot more going on with Abby - she's an opportunist. Fortunately she's pretty and smart (needs to do something about the scabies tho).

I think Abby is calculating. She's attractive, smart and will do very well in the States once she gets employment after the required length of time. She won't need Sean for long. Jenny will also be fine. As drippy as he seems, I think Larry will care for her. It's Kreeny I worry about. Not just the language barrier. Paul is scary and weird. Hope she stays in close contact with her family.

My morning laugh!! Spilled coffee all over keyboard... but thanks!!

I'm just happy Dean's finally back to being a badass this season, although I'm a bit miffed he would have been so easily taken out and killed by a wraith of things!! I mean.... this is Dean Fucking Winchester... does this writer have a clue what this guy has done!!!?? Patience's visions are not particularly efficient - why didn't she envision herself being kidnapped in the first place?

It was so glaring. Took me right out of that scene at first. It was like Jensen was in a hole. Do they really think we don't notice stuff like this? I can appreciate they have issues with guest stars, Richard S has a running joke about his first scene with the Js (only the top of his head showing)... but they've been filming the 6 foot 1 versus 6 foot 4 Js for 13 years now and it's the same crew. So whoever directed was making a point via height, I guess? Many here have met Jensen in person and commented he's slimmer than you would imagine, especially around waist and hips. But those arms... those shoulders.... they're mighty fine.

Oh, I thought she was - similar pokey thing and drinking spine fluid. I get my monsters mixed up. Good thing I'm not a hunter. ;)

Wow - loads of online Dean hate cos he yells at Sam. I get the impression the show's audience is getting younger and younger. Maybe that's a good thing ratings wise - but the young'uns have yet to learn that hurting folk yell and sometimes it's awful mean. A sit down politically correct, reasonable soft spoken talk would have been a bit out of place and not advanced the plot one bit. Dean yells, get over it. Still - on the other hand - you'd think they'd whisper. Jack could be in the vicinity and probably has super duper hearing. Why didn't the wraith die prettily like Amy Pond? No mirrors in her home I guess? Dean got so much flack for that. Did the age match up - could that have been her son? But I say again, I enjoyed the episode. Fingers crossed for a .7 again (but I doubt it).

My only ??? ... Dean looked so much shorter the way it was shot.. Camera angles or something. But some great acting. Dean makes sense. Sam's using....

Yeah I thought the exchange at the end pretty realistic. And some more brilliant acting from Jensen. She's not worth your pain Dean. I wish she was dead, but she ain't...

Haha! everyone and their dog used to be a hunter doncha know? I'll bet Lisa was a secret hunter... Probably Amelia too.. And Paris Hilton ... I guess who's NOT a hunter would be more of a surprise. I enjoyed the episode. Deans a bad ass again, not tripping over candy wrappers or anything. He was spitting truth at the end. Sam is using jack. And I like Jodi. Kim plays her just right. I wish she'd stay with the boys on supernatural
