I know right!!! Something so delicate and pink amid all that black smudge. I've often seen flashes of dark irritation cross his face. Just for a split second. He's controlling the game 24/7. It has to be taxing. He never relaxes, those beady little eyes darting everywhere.

Supernatural Bitterness & Unpopular Opinions: You All Suck

Oh @Katy M Dean's sick, tangled, crazy brotherly codependence is the stuff of a million psychology theses. If only Dean could love ME the way he loves Sam ::sigh:: -
Supernatural Bitterness & Unpopular Opinions: You All Suck

I'm a Julian fan and I'm still bloody miffed. We lost a great character. There was absolutely no need for Dean to kill Death. The spell was underway - darkness was about to be released and the Mark gone. Death's death was for nothing. We can only hope it didn't take and he'll pop up somewhere in the future. I don't think Julian is committed to another gig. I think the issue with Cas is the same as for Mary.... also Kevin, etc. The actors are not regular cast members so writers must continually have them sent off somewhere (that doesn't make sense). Kevin, for instance? Why on earth would they put him on a rusty boat when the bunker has rooms and levels and all sorts of places to hide and be safe (although that revolving front door is a bit of an issue). Same thing with Mary. Why have her stomp off and need space? She could've stayed at the bunker and been nicer. We don't have to see her everyday. Just a mention she's around or gone to visit Jodi or something. Same thing with the concocted Dean tells Cas he must leave scenario. I can't even remember why. Something about Ezekiel. Thing is... why do writers feel that a character that's not in every episode must be sent off somewhere? -
It's the ugliest tattoo I've ever seen and probably cost a fortune. I think it's an eagle. But it's too big, too black, too ugly. He's too little for such a huge tattoo... the rubber ducky isn't helping matters either.

Who flies in without a hotel booked? When it's an overnight flight all you want to do is get to a hotel and shower and nap. And, as someone pointed out, you have to give an address where you're staying. She's got a camera crew following her, so maybe they had her suitcase. But it all seemed so fake. She's dimwitted yet found her way to the cathedral ok? And Antonio gave her no meeting time, but she said she'd wait 30 minutes. And then what?... She'd fly back home? Why was Antonio speaking in English to his Spanish friend? I felt I was being extremely manipulated by this storyline. She's a twit and he's a gigolo there's no more to tell. And I don't know if I can bear to follow the gullible Larry story. It would be nice if they threw in just one story involving an ordinary couple going through the process with honest and intelligent intentions. But maybe that would be too boring.... ???

Has Jorge become even fatter? He'll be on My 600 Pound Life soon. And why on earth would Anfisa agree to share a hotel room with him when they were offered separate rooms? I actually felt bad for Anfisa. He was so gloating at exposing her, but I think it backfired and the sympathy went her way. The Pao woman might be pretty on the outside, but she's ugly on the inside. Pretty don't last... then you're stuck with ugly. Poor Mo. She'll spend money on a private detective. It's not easy to hide in America. Maybe he should go back home. She's going to haunt him forever and go broke doing it. I'm not a fan of loudmouth Loren, but I think that relationship is the only one that stands a chance.

I'm still not getting why everyone is throwing comps and working so diligently to get Paul to Final 2? Do they honestly think he's taking them and that they will win against him? Don't they realize that each of them stands a better chance up against anyone other than Paul? It's so odd? And really annoying. New rule for next season - anyone actively and obviously throwing a competition will be on the Block for 2 consecutive weeks.

Supernatural Bitterness & Unpopular Opinions: You All Suck

There's no show bible for reference. No writers' room. They write in isolation. Each with their own fav storyline. And Dabb provides little cohesion. That's why we lost Sam & Dean along the way so many times this season. Dabb was all about Mary and the BMOL. Season 12 really wasn't much about S&D was it? Many episodes they could have slept in. And right from the first episode '....we don't care about the sun almost wiping out life on earth, or how you fixed it.... just give us names of American hunters... don't know why we want them or what we're going to do with them, or even why we're asking you since you seem to work independently but..." WTF??! Robbie Thompson went a little bit nuts with his Charlie character marysue-ing all over the place. He reined it in thankfully towards the end. Now we have Dabb, who's apparently fixated on Lucifer & Son. Nothing against Mark P - he's a good solid actor - but Lucifer ain't no Crowley. He's just plain galling. I am looking forward the the AU episodes and the AU characters we meet. Might be something new and interesting there. I'd love to see an AU Dean just to give Jensen a chance to flex his acting muscles, but doubt they'd go there. -
I'd love a day in life episode such as Baby at least once a season. I love this episode and have watched it multiple times - only having to FF through the annoying girls that dare steal Baby. All little bits of clues snap into place and work. No WTF moments in this one. It's a gem. I can't remember which episode followed - but it should've include a scene of Dean fixing poor beaten up Baby.

I agree. Why tell the person they're IT? It's a lose-lose situation. I can never understand why on Survivor they tell someone they've found the hidden idol. (In fact, I wish they'd do away with the immunity idol altogether but not tell the contestants until they've dug up half the island - that would be fun)

The plan has to be to vote out whoever is sitting next to Paul. They' all seem under the impression they're playing a clever game - it's so odd. Is there a lack of clean fresh oxygen in that house? *On another note - Josh has family in Miami (I think I read that). Will he be pulled aside and told about Irma and given a chance to check with relatives? Have they ever done this?
-
I have no idea? I know they see the eviction... but I'm a newbie to BB. I've only watched this and the Frankie season.
-
I've been assuming Paul will win no matter who he's up against. Now I'm not so sure. The HGs don't talk to each other inside the house, but they surely do at the Jury House and hopefully it will dawn on each and every one of them that they've been truly played by Paul. Which means he'll come in second again. YAY! He's a mean little tattooed beardy man.
-
Oh bloody hell!! Surely not? It's a shame they killed Crowley. It leaves a gaping hole, but Rowena could fill if they resurrected her from toast (same actress of course). She's very similar to her son. Self-serving, always looking for the angle, soft spot for the Winchesters, and the powers came in handy (especially for writers writing themselves into a corner).
-
If people voted fairly they'd vote Paul for the win over Raven. He's played the game (an easy game, I'll admit) - but she's done nothing but invent new ailments. In all fairness and as much as I dislike Paul - he and he alone deserves the win if he's in final 2. None of the others come close. Paul might have some votes against him if he takes Xmas, Josh or Alex. But he'd still win. They need to get Paul out right now. Then, at least, viewers will have a bit of a surprise in terms of the winner. Because if Paul goes, I have no idea who'd win. It'd be kind of fun watching them trying to make a decision without their leader.

I get the impression there's a paradigm shift coming in terms of network 23-episode series. They're going the way of the DODO bird. It's too much, too many 'iffy' episodes, too many stops & starts in the springtime to catch up with filming. Ratings drop as the TV year progresses. I'd love Supernatural to continue as a consecutive 10 episode format. It would tighten up storytelling, give the Js time with family or other projects. Maybe a 10-episode format for the next few seasons...?? I'd prefer that over the show terminating. Sam and Dean have a lot more journeys through the supernatural world. It's a wide open road of storytelling. They don't have to stay young like the vampires. But the 23 episode format is no longer working for this show (and most others IMO).

Supernatural Bitterness & Unpopular Opinions: You All Suck
Pondlass1 replied to mstaken's topic in Supernatural
I never bothered much about the amulet. I just wish Dean had kept that silver ring. But once they put screw caps on beer it had to go too, I guess. Wish the brothers wore bead bracelets like the Js. I'm actually not much of a fan of men in necklaces. -
There is no show bible or legend or whatever. So writers have free rein when concocting a script with a ghost. There are inconsistencies throughout this series and most others on TV today. They should hire a rabid fan to be on set to check out things maybe. It would be great if they payed attention and were consistent, but we have to remember most network series are really made for the casual viewer who doesn't take notes. Talking about ghost Bobby. I had to laugh. He strained so hard to move that curtain and then in the haunted house with Annie it was a concentrated effort to move an inanimate object. Yet, one of the very first things Bobby ever did as a ghost was to drink all of Dean's beer. How did he do that? It involved picking up a bottle and somehow ingesting fluid - yet next episode ghost Bobby couldn't move a curtain without a sweat.

I'm still not getting their motives. Right now they all seem to have accepted Paul for the win and are jockeying for second place. The stupidity is mind-boggling. Josh is onto Paul. Once Paul realizes this Josh will be gone. I had thought Paul would take Josh to F2, but now I'm pretty sure it's Raven. He could have taken 'I don't know the plan Kevin'. But for some odd reason they want Kevin out. Will it be a surprise to the HGs that tonight is double eviction? Anyway - goodbye Jason.

I don't know why, but of all the singing Jensen has done THIS my fav. He sings it so well and from the heart. Just wish he hadn't worn the toque. Off to bed after a night of wine and friends. The Louden Swain drummer is as entertaining as Jensen. And many times they both look directly at the camera which, according to the YouTube comment, he was filming from way back in audience. Jensen hits every note... it's not the easiest of songs - just great....love it. Love it more than the slow version. Was anyone here at Chicon 2015 to see this live?

S02.E04: The Bridge to Total Freedom
Pondlass1 replied to a topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
Are the 'cans' actually recording something, I wonder? A sweat sensor maybe? Or just plain ol' metal cans? That was an interesting episode. For the first time I got a real sense of what Scientology is. It's a giant cobweb. And miscavige is the itsy bitsy spider -
I know, right! Ugh. A woman near me went to take her seat at boarding and it was soaking wet (with what, I don't know). It was a full flight and she was given a blanket to sit on for the 4 hour flight. Ugh! No bare anything on a plane for me. I thought it extremely insulting when the stepdad said she was out of his league. What a hurtful thing to say. That's the kind of thing you think, but don't blurt out loud... in polite society anyway.

Supernatural Smackdown: The Winchester Dynamic Duo vs Other Shows
Pondlass1 replied to DittyDotDot's topic in Supernatural
I can't get into Midnight. Having problems with Preacher and many other 'my type' series. I don't know if it's me or what... I enjoy the horror type genre (not science fiction or action hero, tho) and usually seek out these types of series...but - gosh - there's so much 'over acting'. I guess because it's a supernatural genre the actor feels they must go over the top and be extra dramatic or - what's worse - extra nonchalant in the face of danger . I don't seem able to get into this new stuff, it's all the same - or maybe I'm getting old. I think they've got it right with Lucifer, tho. Nice mix of comedy and menace. I think Supernatural reruns will hold up better in years to come than some of these more recent offerings. I still prefer the blue collar, open road, face monster without tights or weapons type of thing. And of course... the Winchester brothers being drop dead gorgeous and sexy helps!
