That would be great if 'Christmas' could be changed to 'Valentine's Day' (or any other holiday). It's kinda sad in a way. Poor Dean...

S08.E09: That Was Weird
Pondlass1 replied to KungFuBunny's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
The Beverly Hills housewives don't seem to have nearly as much fun as the Housewives in New York. We see their drunken midnight shenanigans, falling into bushes, etc. But only a glimpse of the 2am wedgie party, lol. I think we need to see more of the fun times and not just the endless mountains out of molehills drama Otherwise why are they even friends if all they do is argue? -
I guess the usual dual diagnosis centres are not equipped to deal with the Tyler Perry wife's level of mental delusion. The daughters need to consult a lawyer to gain power of attorney or their mother could lose everything to this Nigerian scammer. The episode was frustrating and sad to watch. Phil should maybe have spoken with the daughters alone to try and find out when and why this began.

I am hoping they don't go the possession route again. (Unless it's Dean as Michael) Michael the Archangel will defend us in battle. He will be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. Dean is so worthy. But not holding my breath. I do believe it's all coming to a head with some kind of almighty battle though. It might blow the budget so that season 14 is a shortened one.

All I know is that I can't get as much enjoyment as I used to from re-watching early seasons because I now know that what used to be a big deal isn't any more. No one is who we thought they were. Nothing really means anything. The early seasons have lost meaning or impact now, in fact I get sad when I re-watch. However, it's a tribute to the Js and Misha that we still want it to be all about them. This isn't and never will be an ensemble show. We care about these brothers despite their foibles and flaws. With imaginative and clever writing the Js could still get the negotiated time off. It's not impossible. I could live with a Dean, Sam or even Castiel centric episode once per season. This season is better than last, but they've gone overboard so many plots and resurrected characters it's drowning out focus and consequence.

S01.E04: Head of Household #2; Nominations #2
Pondlass1 replied to a topic in Celebrity Big Brother (US)
I wasn't going to bother with this Celebrity version but I'm enjoying it way more than last summer when Paul ruled the house and all votes were unanimous. That was just annoying. But these guys are really playing and they're quite entertaining to watch. But TPTB behind the scenes should bring in some stricter rules about throwing a game. It shouldn't be allowed. I didn't realize CBB is just a few weeks. That's too bad, because this is fun. -
Wow me too!! Maybe instead of regurgitating old Supernatural plots they could look to Buffy for inspiration. LOL. That was one funny episode.
-
Maybe the final episode will be like the final episode of Seinfeld. Everyone returns from the dead.
-
I retweet everything with the Supernatural hashtag just to keep the numbers even though I often don't agree with the sentiment in the tweet. But I'm in Canada so I don't know if it counts?

Jensen looked so bloodshot-eyed dog tired. And what is going on with Misha? Were they fooling with him so much he couldn't get it together for a single scene? His expressions were all over the place. Are audiences supposed to be thinking he's not proper Castiel? Poor Danneel. Not the greatest actress in the world, but what a dreadful plot to dump on her. And the quantities of grace seem to change from episode to episode. Sister Jo has quite a lot to give it seems. And suddenly it's all sensual to be drained by a smelly Luci. And KFC guy and the chicken wings!! Really???!!! I haven't squirmed so much since the Glee episode (ok I know it's a favourite, but... oh bloody hell I'm annoyed ). All those baddies, all that talking, and now Richard Speight. I thought he had another show? The only bright spot - someone mentioned Dean's green plaid shirt. It was nice, but I LOVED the dark blue denim he wore at the beginning. Dean's been shopping (now that would've been entertaining) I see the squee squad on twitter are raving about everything. And Andrew & Co are sucking it all up. Grrrrrr
-
So many characters and plots...Sam and Dean are being crowded out of their own show.
-
Way too many baddies this season. I wonder if some will continue over to season 14 for the big battle climax and end of series ?

This is the second instance where the 600 pounder has lost 200+ pounds over the course of the episode yet looks no slimmer in the final scenes than she did at the beginning. And I would appreciate if the format for this series could be changed so that audiences are not subjected to the morbidly obese person waking up, wobbling to the bathroom and then having a shower in full view. Those poor cameramen/women - at least we can turn away. There is no need for this. It's humiliating. I have to believe the subject has signed some sort of release or they won't get free surgery. But it's wrong and should be stopped.

Phil has a whole team investigating and checking and re-checking facts. He's got file folders coming out of his ears. His show would be over if he got it wrong in an instance like this allegedly involving child molestation. From the mother's demeanour it was obvious she was way more interested in accusing and pointing fingers at the husband than protecting her child. She didn't alert authorities right away (she was scared she said ... of what?). And as others have pointed out - she could not squeeze one tear from her eyes and her story kept changing. And don't get me started on the raging gravel voiced grandma. What a pair! Phil is a legend in his own mind. He has become pompous and condescending to the point I can hardly watch anymore. However, I did stick with both of these episodes all the way through and I was relieved and comforted by Phil's final summation. I agreed with him. I hope the wife gets help. I hope she will put her anger away and get on with her life for the sake of her child.

Seems so odd to see people smoking inside their home. Even the remaining few hardened smokers I know go outside to smoke. I'm not sure if I like the new format or not. I have a hard time caring about any of them to be honest. No one wants to face up to life's difficulties any more. Just shoot up or take a pill and it all goes away. The world is filling up with whiny wimps who just want to drug all the bad things away.

Yes, the second one. It's so clever. Thanks for finding it @trxr4kids

I'm far from being a fan of Destiel but there's a YT video that entertains me every time I watch. It features the birth of Destiel with background music from Whitney "I will always love you". Not one of the sucky vids with the sucky music, it's kind of humorous and clever. Unfortunately I cannot find it to post. I think it starts with Dean climbing out of the grave and walking all bowlegged to that deserted garage. I wish YT was easier to search. Anyone know the one I mean?

I watched the first couple of episodes and couldn't get into it. Maybe I should try again...

It's all got a bit tangled in terms of particular powers of particular supernatural beings, hasn't it?. I have a personal and crazy hope for the righteous man Dean to somehow become Michael and be special and extraordinary and mythical himself and defeat Lucifer and put him back in the cage. I fantasize of a supernatural battle with clashing swords and blades and armour. Both Jensen and Mark P are physical guys, blessed with an abundance of coordination and grace. It'd be so phenomenal. But of course it'll never happen. However the expressions on Cas' face tell me something's going on there and now we have Rowena with the blue eyes. Asmodeus has the misfortune to talk/look like the KFC guy so doesn't carry much weight and I don't think he'll figure much in the final battle. And Jack? What of Jack? Anyway they'll all come together each with their own set of powers before the season's end. Maybe the writers need a whiteboard so they can keep a list of who can do what. It should end with a super supernatural battle - spend some of that budget.

I'm not sure what is the most important.... the demo or the audience numbers. But sadly I'm expecting an 0.5 and possibly even an 0.4 as the rest of the season progresses and weather warms up and we encounter lots of stops and starts in weekly episodes to make the finale for May Sweeps. I'm still forecasting episode 300 will be it. Dabb has not been good for this show. His focus is anywhere but Sam and Dean.
-
I'm not sure the ratings will be good for this one. A casual fan watching those hackneyed heavy-handed first ten minutes would surely switch the channel. Dabb & Co., seem to be writing for the younger crowds more and more these days. And they're not even the demo watching. What about us grown ups, Dabb? It's a stark contrast when watching earlier seasons when Dean wasn't dumb or clumsy (and probably could read simple French), the show was gritty dark back then, (and guest stars could actually act). The winner last week was Donna, the winners this week were Cas and Lucy (and I generally am not keen on either of them). But they moved the story forward while the others were mucking about with bimbo witches. And Cas seems to be getting his mojo back, fingers crossed. The Rowena/Sam scenes were well done, although Ruthie's rather pointed nose got some bad angles and her eye makeup is distracting. If it wasn't that episodes are filmed way in advance I would have suspected TPTB read our comments last week and clamored to provide Sam a reason for his out of the blue despondency. But some good acting from both of them in that scene. And now Rowena has blue eyes. I'm not sure what that means, but probably not good. I tend to not enjoy witches on any show. They lead to lazy writing as writers can have anything happen with a spell to get themselves out of a pickles if they've written themselves into a corner. (Witches were the death toll to TVD which I watched religiously until season 4.) I have to admit to feeling a twinge of glee to learn that Mary is suffering torture beyond compare. I'm getting sadistic in my old age. LOL. Not a bad episode, I guess. But it would never make anyone's top 50 (or even 75). Fingers crossed ratings hold up.

What bloody awful acting from the two witch girls, especially the opening scenes. OMG!! So Rowena has blue eyes now? It's kind of interesting....hmmmm

How is iCloud supposed to work? I have no clue. I am an iCloud dummy. A box kept dinging in the corner warning that iCloud storage was full and to stop it I now pay the princely sum of $1.50 each month to iTunes. I have no idea why? There's nothing there. I try to upload photos, I follow prompts and give them a file and a name. But when I click on iCloud icon on laptop - says Folder is Empty. Same with my iPad iCloud icon. Nada. I guess I should visit YouTube and figure what I'm doing wrong. Somewhere all my photos are floating about in a cloud but I cannot see them. And I'm paying for extra storage! I just email or message pics from my phone to my laptop. So much simpler than this flipping iCloud business.

Ha Ha. Well I was born and raised in London, England so I know a lot about rain. I remember it being so odd seeing lawn sprinklers in American movies. Lawn sprinklers? And, same thing in England we rarely got heavy downpours... mostly drizzle or misty for days on end. Most handbags had a pocket to hold the brolly. Yes, I'm sure our guys are used to the dreary skies and drizzle after 13 years. I've visited BC and Vancouver and it's beautiful for sure. And I think they have apartments overlooking that harbour which must be lovely for them.
