  1. That was one thing that annoyed me about her. The scene where she says she's bored being at home all day and she plops down to watch TV. Meanwhile in the background is a pile of laundry. Later we see Tim folding the laundry. There are so many things she could do. She could walk fine - and quite quickly too. She also had a car and could drive. So get off the sofa drive to a park and walk for 20 minutes.
  2. OMG - when he slowly turns to look at Crowley after telling him he killed Lester. That look! Jensen does cold and scary a bit too brilliantly. I get shivers every time. Too bad they'd written themselves into a karaoke corner with Demon Dean (not to mention he had to be cleaned up for Fan Fiction). I always hang onto a tiny hope there's a residue of Demon Dean still in there and one day someone will push him a bit too far and it'll surface. YUM!
  3. It always begins with the person waking up and waddling to the bathroom and the audience is then treated to 5 minutes of a morbidly obese person showering while they commiserate on their sad state of life. Even the shower curtain is see-through so we see every massive inch. This happens at the start of most all episodes. There must be some contract arrangement between the 600 pound subject and the network - because who would do this? I wish they'd stop this practice. It's an intrusion not to mention the suffering of the poor camera crew. We can see all the layers of fat. We don't need our eyeballs rubbed in it. No more shower scenes please. And why oh why do they wait until months have gone by before a nutritionist is enlisted to help? This should be in place before surgery surely when they're told to lose 50 pounds in a month? Although TV is filled with diets and healthy eating info, these people don't seem to have a clue. Two big hamburger patties, with salad? And not eating breakfast? And those first scenes where she eats a whole box of donuts in one sitting - that sugar load would kill most people stone dead. How did she not have diabetes (type 2)? The house must've been an Airbnb but whose food was in the fridge? Odd that all the kids' drawings were not removed? Anyway, all the best to Alicia and Tim. I'm so accustomed to the crazy - I was assuming for a while Tim was one of those fatty fetish guys and would sabotage her. But turned out he was decent. Makes a nice change.
  4. Re the upgrade: I'd like the ability to add an emoji. Hope they're adding that feature. Also some way of inverting direct replies to posts (like they did on IMDb). Sometimes reading a thread can be awkward as someone is responding to something said halfway up the page and thoughts are just bouncing around and people are asking 'are you talking to me?'
  5. Yeah you're probably right. Besties and all that. :)
  6. Me too. She gets Dark Dean. Probably wrong thread for this - but I don't think in a zillion years it's Dean that will die. If they're going to kill off a brother - it'll be Sam. Jared makes no bones about missing his family and becoming weary of the grind of churning out 23 episodes a season. He could negotiate for Sam to die in episode 300. Jensen could continue on for a couple more seasons as Dean without Sam. It would throw a whole new light on the series - almost a brand new show. Maybe Dean even swaps Baby for a Harley because he misses his sidekick ..... maybe he hunts more closely with Castiel (not in a Destiel way... but as best friends). Jared wants out. I don't think he's hiding the fact.
  7. Me neither. It's like his head is sitting on a tree stump. One has to wonder what he was thinking, not to mention - ouch - the pain! I'm not sure I like this new format. It seems all over the place and trying to tell too much in 43 minutes. I couldn't bring myself to care about Alan, he has resigned himself to die in the life but I'm rooting for Toni. Not so much the pretty slim addict living with boyfriend's mom. She came across as a conniving liar. She can rely on her pretty looks now to fool officials, but they won't last long. Scars, missing teeth and a long rap sheet are in her future I think.
  8. I feel so sad for the cats and dogs stuck in this horrible desolate life with these crazed addicts.
  9. He didn't eat while in purgatory did he? I think that was said somewhere in script? Wish we'd got more of the Bad Place but I was hoping for dinosaurs and not that silly looking monster who needs a girl to find its food.
  10. Lately I can only endure the first 10 minutes of Dr. Phil before I have to watch something else or turn off TV. Surely his ratings are falling?
  11. I own the blu-rays of every season up to season 11 (I'll buy 12 if I see in a bargain bin, but the BMOL got right up my nose). But I tend to watch episodes on Netflix. They do cut some scenes and not always the classic rock, but it's something to watch when there's not much on TV and easier than putting in a disk. I tend to have favourite scenes - moreso than favourite episodes. And with Netflix it's easy to fast forward or rewind. There's some bloody outstanding work in this series, especially the earlier seasons. The series really doesn't get the respect it deserves. But I do owe a lot to the episode On the Head of a Pin. It was my introduction. I was flipping through channels and stopped at the torture scene with Alistair and Dean. I thought it must be a movie I was watching - so good was the acting. I became enamoured with Dean Winchester. Anyway, that was before Netflix so I went to Amazon and ordered all the blu-rays. This was around the middle of season 7. I've never missed a live episode since and became a card carrying rabid fan. I often wonder if I'd not seen that rerun episode while cruising channels my life would be different. I'd be saner for sure and not spend so much time debating, thinking about plot minutia. LOL
  12. My Unpopular Opinion is that I'm at the point where I yearn to see Jensen in another role. I'm kind of hoping it ends at 300 episodes. Jared has intimated he wants a year off. But Jensen is very infected by the acting bug. He loves his family, but I don't think he'll sit on his hands. And he's pretty brilliant so I would think he'd be snapped up right away - hopefully by some project that's worthy of him. It's not so much that Jensen is not respected... I think we've reached a point in the show where Dean is not respected. And Jensen is only too happy to go along with some of the ad lib slapstick. Which is ok in small doses. But it's kind of become a thing lately. And the story swirls around everyone else now. Some episodes don't even need Sam and Dean to advance a plot. The awesome chemistry is still there of course. Everyone works so hard and I never feel anyone phones it in... but the writers seem stuck on the BIG celestial otherworldly stories now and the brothers are just swept along on a tide of broken and outlandish canon. I wanting them riding off into the sunset "We've got work to do". I'd really like Supernatural The Movie in a few years. But it's time. It's been a fantastic run. But I'd love to see Jensen portray someone other than Dean Winchester.
  13. Major insult to Jared, I'd say. Slow tweets from Gold Panel at Orlando this morning. I'm usually trying to catch up with 25 tweets per minute.
  14. I'm not on tumblr but I would have hoped even millennials would find her irritating. But let's face it, millennial TV is devolving at an alarming rate.
  15. It's contrived angst that will be revisited once the series is picked up. Monster kidnaps Dad but he's saved by the girl hunters because of his daughter's visions. After being saved he will become a hunter too. Anyone here could probably write the script.
  16. I think the show will be more successful if they allow the girls to each have their own foibles and faults and not all be overnight super hunters and buddy buddy all the time. Sam and Dean are far from perfect and here we are still watching after thirteen years. I pretty sure that by now TPTB have picked up on the criticisms of Claire. She needs to be dialed back.
  17. I wonder if Mother Mary will take a few moments from being all maternal over innocent Jack to remember it's her son's 39th birthday on January 24th?
  18. I hope they pair it with something like Riverview and not Supernatural next October. It's a teen show after all.
  19. Ratings look good. Spoiler TV is reporting 0.6 and 1.87 I think it's pretty certain the spin off will be picked up.
  20. Dean is a survivor above all else. But for continuity, for audiences watching with last episode in mind ... wouldn't the writer have included something depicting his desperation about Mother? The guy was frantic last time we saw him. That shouldn't be hand waved away with a lizard eating scene. We should have got something else. Different writers write different episodes, of course. But it's on the showrunner to dovetail the story for continuity. And it's rarely attended to by Andrew. He is very lacking in this regard. An issue that's all important one episode is completely forgotten the next. Sustain the suspense .
  21. I agree. It was out of place. And those cliche-ridden opening scenes ....good grief !! Do we have to have it shoved down our throats that she's one super duper hunter? Crikey it was eye-rolling!! Kathryn appears to have very good representation. If another more flashy gig is offered, she'll leave this "little" show I think. That would make room for the others to glow.
  22. I only watched with half an eye so I may have missed stuff. And, of course, Sam and Dean get knocked out by a girl. I was going to bet the house on this happening. But, anyhoo, when we last saw Dean he put a gun to the head of a teenage girl so panicked was he to save Mother from her torture chamber. But the rift takes him to a violet tinted forest and not to Mother. And no Jack. Where’s Jack? Wouldn’t he be pissed and frantic that they’re in the wrong place? Just seemed odd that he didn’t mention anything. Or maybe he did? I don’t know. But when Dean’s on a mission – look out, he’s a wild and crazy guy. But he seemed pretty chill eating those lizards. From Jody’s final words I’m assuming this series will remain in Sioux Falls dealing with the rift and whatever comes through it ( a la Sunnydale and the Hellmouth ). They’ve now got a doppelganger Kaia to deal with, not to mention the red eyed bluebloods (although monsters that die from a bullet are pretty boring). And I’m guessing Dean and Sam deal with all the rest of it? Hope so.
  23. It was all too juvenile for me... But then I'm not the target audience. I think ratings will be pretty good... Are we back to Dean and Sam next week? Fingers crossed.
