  1. Richard's career really profited from that appearance on Supernatural all those years ago. (Unless he was well known beforehand. I don't really know his previous career). But the Trickster caught the attention of fans and it was a funny episode.
  2. There is a huge contingent of fans our there that have views far different from the general opinions here at this board. Either that or I'm following the wrong people on twitter. But I feel it's these fans that Dabb & Co write for. Today's episodes are light years away from earlier seasons. It's almost not the same show. Big celestial events might happen in these latter seasons, but they're kind of 'Junior-High' in comparison and never take us to the edge. It's all plot driven with the brothers running from one calamity to the next with little or no lasting consequence. Characters possess powers that come and go according to plot. They never have the conversations we expect based on past events. There is no follow up to anything that happens. Things are 'world ending' one minute, next minute it's forgotten and onto some other dilemma. I don't know where I read or saw this but one article took an episode from season 12 (I think) and went through scene by scene proving that Sam and Dean made absolutely no difference. They could have slept in that day and the outcome of the events in the episode would have been exactly the same.
  3. I still don't understand. She did the 10 year deal with the YED to resurrect John. Dean even gave her the exact date. Yet she still did nothing. And her being a super duper hunter and all. I know it's a tired old debate. When the pilot was written they had no idea how things would evolve. But you'd think they'd come up with an answer by now. That night in the nursery was her own fault. Even if she could do nothing - she should at least have tried. And wouldn't Dean ask why she didn't heed his warning? Or was Dean's time-trip a mere dream instigated by Cas ... ?????? I get so confused with this show sometimes....
  4. This version of the Housewives is losing me as a fan. Hope they're all going on a vacation soon - that usually sparks things up. But right now it's pretty boring. They just overreact and make mountains out of molehills.
  5. None of the Americans comment or seem shocked by the poverty they see - or maybe they do off camera. We don't see them 24/7. I felt bad for that tied-up rooster and the dog on a 2 foot chain. I'd want to set them free. The church service was something else. They might have played it up for the cameras, though. It must take a lot of energy to be carrying on like that for hours on end, no wonder they're all so slim. And all that praying hasn't gotten them anywhere. But I guess it passes the time. Kareeeny has lost the fresh young look of last season. Her face is puffy, her hair matted and she's lazy and sleepy. If she's not pregnant, then what is wrong? She's only 21 and apparently aging fast. I don't see any of these relationships moving on from this season. I haven't read spoilers, but surely they're all done and over by now. Baby Lucy is the best of the bunch. I wish her well and hope her mother comes to her senses.
  6. It wasn't Bobby's call to make. Bobby decided Dean had 'got out" and that he should stay out. Dean had no say in the matter. Was Bobby in contact with Dean during that year? If he was, surely he could tell Dean was going out of his mind with grief. And how long was the ruse going to go on? It was incredibly cruel for Dean to have find out he'd been lied to, and my heart went out to Dean when he found out (superbly acted by Jensen I might add). And to top it all off - Bobby had no clue something as wrong with Sam. Dean picked up on it right away but Bobby argued with him. Bobby's place as a compassionate surrogate father began to slip for me ... he actually didn't know the brothers very well at all.
  7. I've only watched the Gold Panel - and I was tired and ready for me bed so I might have misheard - but it was an odd question from a fan to Jensen about Dean never opening up about his time in hell. Did she completely miss the Emmy-worthy scene on the hood of Baby? It was quite the pivotal moment. (Still, on the other hand, TPTB have apparently forgotten Jensen suffered in Hell too) The fan dynamic is changing - they're more interested in hair, children and I want to be an actor. Was there even one question about Michael? I usually couldn't wait to watch the panels, not so much now. But my heartfelt thanks to those fans that post for us.
  8. These east coast conventions must be tiring with the time difference. And they just did one last week. No one can say these boys aren't hard working. I think the comment was a joke.
  9. The Supernatural wardrobe department sucks. The 5% of time they're not in 4 layers of plaid, throw us a bone. These are good-looking guys with great bodies. The summer in BC has been hot - can't we have at least one scene where they're in t-shirts with slogans like the rest of the world? :) Ain't that the truth!
  10. The Js are getting lots of time off. That's the only silver lining in all this. I foresee a ratings drop and possibly cancellation notice next Spring. Recycling is good for the environment, but not for TV shows. Dabb & Co. have become too comfy with same shit different day. Something new and challenging like, for instance, writing not!Dean sends them scurrying to check out old scripts.... oh yeah, purgatory flashbacks, Demon Dean injections.... which one should we repeat?
  11. The theme song for this series should be "Girls just wanna have fun". And the joke would be that none of these women have a clue how to have fun. I went with 5 gal pals to an all-inclusive in the Dominican. We drank, we got stupid, we laughed, we cried, we had fun. It can be done - even on a shoe string and swimsuits from Walmart. All that grotesque excess of money and they're all still so miserable and hateful. Bethany especially has a heart that's two sizes too small (however I do admire her quick nasty wit - she is a cool customer). I think for the second part of the reunion they should turn the microphones off if they all start screeching at once.
  12. I must be the only person who doesn't like the actor playing the detective. He has the most annoying expression on his face all the time. How could they drink that coffee and not realize it's not coffee? Does the plant taste like coffee? It's all so weird.
  13. Jon has nice teeth and talks about toothbrushes all the time. So there goes that stereotype. I'm from England and the one thing I notice with American tourists is that they talk much louder than us Brits. But other than that, mostly nice and friendly and they love to tip (which we Brits don't).
  14. I often wonder how that Purge speech got tacked onto that episode. We laughed at powdered doughnuts and fish tacos and then suddenly Sam is saying the most cutting hurtful dreadful things to his brother. Sam holds on tight to any perceived pique and was afforded episode after episode to drag around his resentment and anger. Dean on the other hand must suck it up or he's called a princess who's having a pity party. This is one aspect of Sam's character that seems to have improved. Thanks writers. Even die hard Sam fans were having trouble defending him during those seasons.
  15. Me too. I live in the UK. You can't be shooting off automatic weapons like that in the countryside and not have a ton of officials show up within minutes. In the States maybe, but not here. Those shoot 'em up scenes were so annoyingly stupid I don't think I'll bother with the series. I should have stopped at the ridiculous night club killing.
  16. Supernatural has never had much of a promotion team compared to other shows. And we rarely have seen the boys on chat shows. I'm hoping SPACE channel in my area will continue. CHCH channel used to flaunt the show like crazy, but then they stopped buying seasons for some reason.
  17. I remember reading a fan article describing waiting 24 hours in the queue for Hall H panel, sleeping bags and chatting with other fans through the night. Misha apparently came along next morning with coffee for everyone. So I agree these fans warrant the exclusive sneak peek. :)
  18. I would put some fresh clean clothes into my overnight bag and once I arrived at the final airport I would go change and freshen up. I cannot believe the outfits these people wear to meet people they've never seen before. First impressions mean a lot. Angela was scary rushing at him like that, I'm surprised he didn't turn and run. She had sweat stains on her cheap looking shirt and a well worn bra on full show. And how did her feet smell after all those hours in those boots? The lack of self awareness is incredible. On the other hand we have Darcy who wakes up perfect in full makeup, not one smudge or smear. Reminded me of that movie where she has the one-nighter with a man but wakes up early to clean teeth and apply makeup before he wakes up. And those mile high boots for the boat trip. Yikes! The Melissa late arrival. No man would wait that long. I'm thinking TLC was busy negotiating with her re payment so he hung about. I agree re comments about Kareeeny. I honestly thought she was going to admit she's pregnant. Her breasts are larger and she appears tired and worn out. The streets of America are not paved with gold. I think that's the lesson some of these folks will learn if they ever arrive on these shores. Still, Jon and Jesse probably want to remain in their own countries. The most honest of them all is Hazel. I know I'm being manipulated , but I am hooked and cannot wait until next week.
  19. This is the maddening part. I'd have liked to get to know Michael. Christian has more charisma and pizzazz in his little finger than the Waywards have combined. Dabb was thinking future employment I guess?
  20. The writers are limited by their own limited imaginations. And there's been so much gripe on twitter about the brothers not being joined at the hip for any length of time. So it was to be expected that it wouldn't last long. I just hope and pray that Dean casts out Michael all by himself, just through his own strength of will. I don't want him 'saved' by hocus pocus and spells. Bin there dun that.
  21. I thought both Supernatural parodies were really good. I can't choose which is best. Maybe the second one because we see "Ackles" and "Padalecki" as part of the action ... and they both looked badass and totally gorgeous breaking through that door at the end. My only gripe - why did "Dean" just stand there while Green Luci ran at him? I wanted to see Green Luci get slimed with the proton pack. :) I've said it before and I'll say it again - those children hit the gene jackpot.
  22. I guess the only silver lining in all the news coming out of season 14 is that the Js will be able to spend more time with family and friends and pet projects. If they remain as prolific on social media as they have been in the past year (especially Jensen)... then maybe it could be a good thing? We have to face up to the fact that Supernatural is now an ensemble show. sigh.
  23. I'm with you. It seemed very amateurish. The audience was more fun to watch than what was going on on stage - which was actually quite boring. Dorinda is scary. Especially with that clownish makeup - she could star in another remake of IT. And the hairstylists and makeup people that worked on Bethany should be fired. Her hair was a mess and she looked washed out and tired. Both her and Carol are too gaunt. As we age we need a little bit of fat. I still don't understand the missing ticket for John. These housewives talk and text in riddles - no wonder they're always so angry with each other. I'm upset about the fur on this show. If it's real then it's not cool. Not cool at all.
  24. ... and would be boring to watch. .... I think they're partially safe because camera crews are with them. But it's no guarantee. The clueless fried blond alone in Nigeria for instance could be in serious trouble. Nigeria is considered a high risk area and travel there is not advised. Violent crime, such as armed robbery, assault, carjacking, kidnapping, and rape is common throughout the country.
