The Michael fight was cool and badass but way too short. I wanted more of that. But why didn't Michael's green eyes turn blue and send her flying and grab the spear? The way she was tied so loosely in that chair was laughable. I think the dumbest audience member figured it was that great hulking necklace around her neck (and once again more dreadful overacting from the young actress in bed. Where are they finding these actors? Is the Vancouver acting pool so limited?). And now woobie Jack is sick and tossing yucky bloody Kleenex about for someone to find. Who empties the trash bins, I wonder? I'm guessing the woobie factor is about to go off the charts. Dean's story is just a repeat of past seasons. (What else is new?) The writers just can't seem to get out of their rut when writing for Dean. What a waste of a talent actor. Also - and I'm not a fan of the character - but Angel Cas is now dead weight and can't do a damn thang anymore. It's ridiculous. Also ridiculous ... Sam's neatly trimmed grief beard. Dean's muscled arm was the highlight of the episode and something we rarely see. And I want Kim's haircut. That's about it for me. The thrill is going, going....almost gone.

For the first time ever I haven’t watched live. It’s too frustrating. I have to prepare myself.

Once the episodes have aired - maybe after the winter hiatus - Jensen may begin to once again voice his annoyance or disappointment. He's been vocal about, Benny, purgatory, Demon Dean, marionette fight, etc. If Michael has been short changed to make way for the WS saga, then Jensen might speak out. He was definitely excited about being given the chance to flex acting muscles and be someone else. Abb & Co are crazy. There's a glut of hair-flipping teen girls banding together to save the world shows on TV as it is. We don't need another one.
-
I wonder what Jensen was so excited about last Spring? How was Michael/Dean explained to him, because there's nothing so far to be excited about. 6 or 7 short scenes and that's it? They must've had a huge change of plan over the summer? Maybe it was getting to select the wardrobe that he liked?

What I get from these two photos - and yes, he's gorgeous and never ages - is the subtlety of expression in each scene. In the first he's with Bella and not so sure of himself in a tux "Don't objectify me". In the second he's Michael - cool, in control, confident and comfortable in what he's wearing. It's all there in the expression.

But it was Tamra that was out of control IMO. Shannon was being attacked from all sides and trying to defend herself, she wasn't out of control. She was just handling it all wrong. Instead of trying to defend herself with this crew of shrews she should've just backed away, gone to her room and locked the door. I don't know why they bother to yell at each other during these stupid fights. No one listens to what the other person is yelling anyway. They all screech at once.
-
Tamra is pure bitch. She was savouring every moment of that screaming match. No way she was trying give advice to a friend. She so enjoyed having the camera crew follow her to her room to film her tossing stuff into a suitcase. And Gina acts for the camera. The way she articulates, widens her eyes. Acting. Unfortunately Kelly gets caught up in the anger and blasts off. But out of the lot of them, I like Kelly the most. I think she'd genuinely try to help a friend. No way Tamra or Vicki give two fucks about anyone but themselves and the newbies just want that orange.

I've got self absorbed friends. I'm sure we all have. I've friends that have let me down, told my secrets, etc. No one is perfect, not even me. I just stay closer with the true and worthwhile girlfriends and tolerate the others. But it was the pack mentality that I didn't like. Just because they determined she was not being 'Fun Shannon', she did not deserve to be swarmed by screeching sirens poking fingers in her face and yelling she's depressed and should take meds. It was unpleasant to watch. And how much fun exactly are the others? Laughing hysterically at vulgar twerking is not my idea of a fun time.
-
If I'd been Shannon I'd had gone to my room, locked the door and arranged for a flight home. Maybe she has to be there because she is contracted or something? But that was horrible to watch. I expect arguments and yelling, but not gang warfare. None of these women have the foggiest idea what it means to be a friend. And there's Gina quite literally smirking through it all and patting herself on the back because she thinks she's solidified her orange for next season. I hope one day they all surround and gang up on her so she can see what it feels like.
-
With screeching screaming friends like this, who needs enemies? And I saw the self satisfied smirk on Gina’s face as she watched them surround, attack and point fingers at Shannon. A job well done. I dislike shit stirring Gina intensely , I hope she is gone soon. Tamra is despicable, but at least I’m used to her. The others, Vicki and Kelly just go with the mood of the room. Shannon is self absorbed but she didn’t deserve to be ganged up on like that. Gina ugh ?go away!!

Dean's coiled tight as a spring, but Michael's relaxed and observant. The look in the eyes is noticed first, but it's also body posture, shoulders, coolness.... it's all different and so clever. When Sarah MG played a dual role, Future Buffy had a scar across her face so we could tell. But Jensen didn't need this for his portrayal in The End. We knew exactly which Dean was speaking just by the expression and the eyes. Even in close ups when we couldn't see the clothes... we knew. We've been waiting for Michael Dean for a long time. But now that he's here I don't think The Powers know what to do with him. I hope they have some kind of plan. Jensen is well able to depict the inner struggle. We'd know when Michael or Dean was in charge of the host. We'd maybe not know if Michael is pretending Dean's back. It would be an acting tour de force for Jensen. But the writers' imaginations are so limited and then there's the We Want Dean Back bunch from twitter. I'd love to see Benny return. Ty has chemistry with Jensen. And I think there's more to their story.

I know it looks dramatic when a character empties a bottle of pills down the toilet, but don’t ever do this in real life. Take unused medications to the pharmacist to be disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.

Supernatural Bitterness & Unpopular Opinions: You All Suck
Pondlass1 replied to mstaken's topic in Supernatural
this is the thing. I'd even welcome a return of the fairies - and the bunker must be a labyrinth of creepy artifacts or maybe hidden spells that could be triggered by chance summoning a chilling spook. But Dabb and Co are so fixated on heaven/hell, angels/demons and Luci/Nick it's galling. Powerful celestial beings must become woobies within a few episodes. Demons that could stick the Winchesters to a wall with the sweep of a hand, now run away when Sam tells them to. Anything could happen on a show like this. But it's the same old shit over and over again. And don't get me started on the Woobie Meets The Grandparents scene. Believable interactions, Dabb!! Nothing in that scene made any damn sense. -
I can recommend Haunting of Hill House on Netflix. I loved the book, but it's not like the book.
-
On a practical note - it seems a bit ridiculous that husband and wife could possibly think they can fix up a huge rambling house like this all by themselves. Surely there would be construction crews all over the place? I wouldn't live in a house like that for all the tea in China. The door knobs alone give me the heebie jeebies. The acting, atmosphere, editing, camera work, etc., all brilliant although they could use a little more lighting sometimes. Loving this series. I usually cringe when children are involved in horror stories as the acting is usually pretty wooden. But these kid actors are awesome. I'm forcing myself to watch slowly and not binge as I don't want it to end.

What a piece of work is a man! how noble in reason! how infinite in faculty! in form and moving how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world! the paragon of animals! Seeing pix of Jensen Dean makes me wax poetic (as does the two glasses of wine at the restaurant) sorry, thread mods... probably wrong thread

We will miss you gonzo. ?

Was there a promo for next week? We don’t get it in Canada. Was anyone else laughing at the teeth on the vamp in the red dress?
-
I’m not finding Michael Dean as charismatic or as chilling as Demon Dean.
-
They’re making us think Nick is the next Michael vessel? surely not? It was dull and plodding. To much time wasted on characters we don’t know or care about.
-
I’m guessing a .4 also. Lots of bros joined at the hip fans unhappy with Michael story and may boycott.
