  1. Jared seems to be wearing trousers and I can’t tell if Jensen and Alexander are wearing trousers or black jeans lol
  2. A more serious spec... If it isn’t Michael, I actually think @DittyDotDot‘s suggestion that it could be AN AU azazel could be a pretty interesting one. Personally, I feel to live up to Jensen’s needing to research comment and Singer’s Years comment it needs to be someone from seasons 1-5. I couldn’t see Jensen feeling a massive need to research someone who has been there within the past few years especially if he was in multiple scenes with them. However, an actor who hasn’t been there in a decade... I could see him feeling the need to rewatch their scenes just in case.
  3. Heh maybe my crack spec that John but not JDM will return before the end of the series will come true. Jensen is researching nuances in JDMs performance of John. 11 Years (last seen end of season 2) was certainly long ago and Jensen wanting to look up performance makes sense too.
  4. Oh I have no issue with the fact he views Dean as a heterosexual man. I do find the fact that in an interview he linked the terms ‘gay and unmanly’, that he stated he enjoyed cowboy movies until Broke Mountain came out (which without further clarification such as “I hated the directing” is quite questionable since it is best known for its too gay leads) and he told a fan to “not to ruin it for everyone else” when they mentioned they were bisexual troublesome to say the least. Again, I don’t want to get into an argument over this. So I’m just clarifying what I have taken issue with (which isn’t to do with ships or Dean’s sexuality) and moving on and making this my last post on the topic :): Yes, Sera wrote them out. I meant the “Jensen fought for them” part is speculation as far as I know. If anyone has links of someone from the show stating he fought for Misha feel free to link me). Personally, I think the return of Misha was more linked to the arrival of Carver as showrunner, and he would have stayed gone had Gamble never left.
  5. I don’t want to get into it in this thread and I think I’ve discussed it in the past, but Jensen has made more than one questionable remark in interviews and at conventions. So while I’m sure there are some fans who may complain about him due to shipping I also think in this fandom it’s all too common to blame everything on the Destiel shippers. Re Jensen and Gamble: As far as I know that’s pure speculation. I don’t think anyone behind the scenes (actors, writers or crew) have ever come out and said it.
  6. It goes both ways and I believe it is worse from the anti Misha fans . I’ve seen plenty of Wincest shipper and general J2 fans who are desperate to get Misha off the show. Back when S7 aired a group of fans even tried organising an official “Fire Misha Collins Day” and while it obviously didn’t work it was loud enough for both Jim Beaver and RSJ to comment on. https://www.hypable.com/spiteful-supernatural-fans-try-to-get-misha-collins-fired-fail-epically/ (an article written at the time about it including tweets Jim wrote)
  7. I thought the upgrade was he got to move from being trapped in the veil to heaven. Although considering SN’s heaven whether that’s a legit upgrade is debatable lol
  8. It was honestly a complete joke just because of the recent non dean from Jensen and John will return from JDM. I don’t expect this to be the case at all. If they were to make crack spec possible I suppose they could break John out of wherever his soul is stashed and go for a ghost possession.
  9. Joke Spec: Jensen will play John Winchester possessing Dean
  10. A mods has replied stating they want the discussion to stay in this thread. Those who have less than no interest in Destiel (or any other pairing) fics will just have to scroll past the reading groups posts.
  11. Gillian Barber played both Mrs. Rourke in Faith and Doctor Hess in multiple season twelve episodes.
  12. I'm over main character getting possessed storylines. I also hated the Casifier storyline for what its worth.
  13. And if worse comes to worse and fans make too many jokes Ackles can just start being rude to fans at conventions again!
  14. Or he would actually be doing his job, which is to act out the material he is given by the writers and producers.
  15. I'd say its safe to assume Devil's Bargain will be one of the DVD/Blu Ray's special commentary then.
  16. No, no I just voted there now haha. I just meant that was the results when I posted! Someone could vote ten minutes from now and the results are flipped haha. I find these things can quickly change particularly if an actors losing or barely winning and their fans make a push to try and get them the win :)
  17. Of course it'll likely change between now and the end of the round but at the time of my voting the results were: Misha Collins (Supernatural) 54.6% Stephen Amell (Arrow) 45.4% Noel Fisher (Shameless) 70.3% Jared Padalecki (Supernatural) 29.7% Richard Rankin (Outlander) 67.0% Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) 33.0%
  18. Ian Tracey played Ishim in Lily Sunders Has Some Regrets and he also played Lee Chambers in Adventures in Babysitting.
  19. Sorry to hear that Diane. Like Red and Catrox said thoughts of comfort for you, your family, your friend and their family -hugs-
  20. I agree with you about Quentin. There's a massive difference between the behaviour of the others and literally using your loved ones as bait. I disagree about Laurel and don't see her lies as any worse than Diggle lying to someone he is close to (his sister in law) or Oliver lying to his family (although I'll give him some leeway due to PTSD). At this point I think we should agree to agree on Quentin and agree to disagree about Laurel :)
  21. Diggle lied to her about the exact nature of his relationship with Oliver. There is a difference between acting as a body guard to a rich kid (as his sister in law has been led to believe) and actively aligning yourself with an illegal vigilante and on occasion even posing as him fighting criminals. Anything Diggle does to aid Oliver in his illegal vigilante work is as valid a comparison to his work as a bodyguard, as Laurel's claim that her meeting with 'the hood', about taking down a criminal was related to her work as a lawyer. They've both lied to people who care for them about the danger they're putting themselves into and the illegal nature of their activities. For the record, I don't actually have any major issues with the lies being told by Diggle and Laurel. IMO both weren't able to tell the truth due to the illegal nature of aligning with Oliver and the negative response said alignment was likely to provoke. I'm simply pointing out that IMO its a pretty unfair double standard to give some characters a free pass on the lies they tell i.e. hiding the fact they're in league with 'the hood' and then condemn others for the same thing.
  22. You guys raise valid points re PTSD having an influence on Oliver's behaviour so I'll remove him from the equation and make what I consider to be a more apt comparision. Laurel's 'crime' was meeting up with 'the hood' and not informing her loved ones of her alliance with him. If that is the case is Diggle a failure of a human being every time he meets up with Oliver? We know he hasn't told his sister in law (who he is clearly still extremely close to) the truth about his activities? Does Diggle fail as a human being every time he ditches plans with her do his vigilantes work? Does he fail as a human being every time he lies to her? Does he fail as a human being every time he puts himself into harms way without informing her or others he cares for? Likewise episode 14 spoiler Personally, I think Laurel had very valid reasons for lying to Quentin. As he demonstrated had she went to him there was a high chance he would try and ruin the meeting. Of course Laurel isn't a psychic, but his overt hatred for the hood means she doesn't have to be to guess how he'd react. Tommy is a bit more dubious, but considering his own clear wariness of the hood her decision to not inform him is likewise understandable.
  23. • And Felicity joins Diggle in the “Knows the truth about Oliver” club. • Felicity and Diggle make a good team. “do you know how to use one of those?” “We are about to find out!” • Too much flashbacks! Although I did enjoy the scene where Oliver talks about how he has spent his life taking everything for granted. It’s a good insight into how he went from the man he was pre island to the man he is now
  24. • Do I blame Laurel for lying to Tommy about meeting up with Green Arrow? No! Do I blame Laurel for ditching plans with Tommy to go to this meeting? No! Do I blame Laurel for not considering Tommy’s feelings? Yes. I get why she did what she did, but Laurel definitely should have had more awareness of how much hurt her lie was going to cause. • Interesting contrast between last episode where it was Diggle’s personal connections that clouded his judgement and this week’s episode where Oliver’s connection to Laurel and his mother is clouding his judgement. • Ugh, can someone kill Quentin already? • Oliver confronting his mother was a great cliffhanger for the episode! I’m a first time viewer so perhaps stuff happens to contradict my following replies in later episodes, but based on what I’ve seen so far. 1) Personally, I think you’re reading too much into the exchange between Laurel and Anastasia. IMO it was intended as good hearted banter between two friends/work colleagues and not as genuine griping. Personally, I think if Anastasia had legitimate complaints voicing them during her introduction to Thea was a bad time to do it. Plus there’s such a thing as employment contracts. I’m sure she knew exactly what she’d be earning prior to starting work there. 3. Does Oliver fail as a human being every time he ditches plans with Moira, Thea, Tommy and others he cares for to do his vigilantes work? Does he fail as a human being every time he lies to them? Does he fail as a human being every time he puts him into harms way without informing everyone? Laurel was trying to do her best to find a way to stop someone who had already killed someone since his release from prison and would continue to do so unhindered. It’s a pretty unfair standard to count this a failure as a human being IMO considering the context of this show. 4 & 5: Quentin was there because he chose to use his own daughter as bait. The fact he was hit on the head is his own fault and not Laurel’s. The man gets no sympathy from me. 6. I actually agree with this to an extent. It was wrong of Laurel to not consider Tommy’s feelings re her lies. That was pretty self absorbed of her. On the other hand, there is also a difference between lying to someone as she and Oliver do all the time and lying to someone AND using them as bait like Quentin did here. So overall she should have been more empathetic to Tommy, but their situations weren’t identical. 8. She was attacked in her own home and grabbed the nearest object. It’s not as though she went to a planned fight with an umbrella as her weapon of choice. 9. wow, yes let’s just blame the victim for having the audicity to be kidnapped at an inconvenient time.
