• Laurel’s arrival in the courtroom was pretty awesome! I saw it coming, but the camera work and the music really made it work for me. Laurel continues to be one of my favourites. • Is it bad that I find the island flashbacks super boring and don’t really care about them? • The Diggle/Oliver dynamic works so much better for me now that he knows Oliver’s secret. Go Team Arrow! • I enjoyed the talk between Laurel and Oliver. I appreciate that she was big enough to admit that she only looked at her own pain and failed to consider the pain of others. The kiss at the end was more bleh though. I like Oliver and Laurel individually and would like to see them as friends, but the writing of them as love interests just isn’t working for me.

That sucks :( . I’m planning to watch Chronologically using this website https://www.alltimelines.com/dc-comics-multiverse-chronology/dc-comics-live-action-television/ as a guideline. I’ll definitely try and make sure to post any thoughts that come to mind as I’m watching :)

Scripts as I understand it are the original script the actors were working with while shooting the episode. These would be how the episode was written by the writer. The actual episode will often be different to this. For examples scenes may be cut for time, the delivery of lines may be slightly altered such as sad instead of angry or lines ad libbed by the actors. A transcript is usually produced by fans after the episode airs and reflects the final product that appears on screen.

I’m starting at the very beginning. So far I’ve watched episodes 1-4 of season 1. I would imagine I’d be very confused if I tried to jump in without watching the previous seasons lol. I’m also planning to watch The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow, so I might not be watching live until the start of next season.

Sorry that was bad wording on my part. I meant Cas’ body looks like Jimmy, but it isn’t Jimmy’s body. He’s more akin to Jimmy’s twin or clone :)
-
Yes, it was officially confirmed in the season 10 episode Angel Heart that Claire’s father soul was now in heaven. Since the original body was disintegrated at a molecular level (first by Raphael and then by Lucifer) and Jimmy’s soul is no longer present I tend to think Cas’ current body is closer to a clone or twin of Jimmy’s than a traditional vessel. In other words Cas’ body looks like Jimmy’s, but it isn’t his.

• Great episode! I think it did a great job of making Laurel even more likeable. I love how strong her desire to help other people is :) • While I like Laurel and I like Oliver I don’t particularly get them as a couple. Before the island Oliver cheated on her on at least two occasions (her sister Sarah and that club owners fiancée) displaying a lack of respect for her. I can understand his experiences on the island making him a more responsible and determined person, but I don’t get why it would have suddenly made him more into her than he had been. • Yay for a John Barrowman appearance.

Some thoughts from a first time viewer. Hopefully I’ve got the names right. + I’m really enjoying the plot so far and getting to know the character particularly Oliver, Laurel and Diggle. + Tommy and Laurel have strong chemistry. Although I’d like to find out why she’s the girl he wants to change for. The actors work well together now the writing needs to back that. + The directing is superb and some of the city shots are beautiful. +/- Thankfully this will no longer be an issue, but the Oliver fleeing from Diggle plot got old pretty quickly. Especially after Diggle made a big threat to quit only for Oliver to flee from him again right away without repercussions. Makes it harder to take the character seriously. - Thea’s teenage brat routine is annoying. Hopefully she’ll start to grow up soon.

A decent second episode! I think my favourites so far are Oliver, Laurel and Diggle! Although it’s still too early to truly tell. Favourite Line of the Episode: Sometimes to honour your wishes I’ll have to dishonour your memory.

I could be wrong! I just assumed that was the case because he was the only writer/executive producer mentioned by name in that article. The other two were just executive producers. I took it as Yockey would be the day to day head writer/show runner (as Kripke was for SN season one) and the other two would be involved with background stuff.

• I am so upset that Malcolm and Jessica haven’t resolved things :( . There had better be a season 3 so they can fix things. • Rachael and Krysten did an amazing job during their scene together after the death of Alisa. Trish’s desperation to save Jessica, her fear of being hurt by Jessica and of course Jessica’s sheer rage. Trish is lucky she’s literally the most important person in the world to Jess. I think Jess would have killed anyone else there and then. • Jessica deciding to really live and eating family dinner was a perfect way to end the season. Again, we’d better get a season 3! Malcom/Jess and Trish/Jess can not end like this!
-
I honestly think he’d have left under any of the show runners. If I understood the article right Yockey will be the show runner of his new show. So he’s leaving for a higher position with a presumably higher wage and excellent addition to his CV! I don’t think there is anything to suggest he had personal issues with Dabb :)

Hi there, I hope this is the right place to post this! I’m planning to start a first time watch of the Arrowverse tonight! And figured I’d just pop in and say hi to the regular posters on this board.

Personally, if Season 14 is the last (and I'm not saying it definitely is as I explained to Diane above) then an announcement in the next month or so would make perfect sense IMO. When they do end the show, whether its next year or season 20, they will want to make a big deal of it and I think we'll have a years notice. They'll want to spend the summer before the final season and the final season itself promoting "the final season" in hopes of regaining the interest of former fans who may be interested in returning to see how things end. Promotion of the final season of a show which is choosing to end as opposed to being cancelled for low ratings is rather standard practice.
-
No worries. I totally agree with you that S13 will not be the last. There's no way they'd just end the show without a big announcement especially since the ratings are still holding up well. I'm 50/50 on whether 14 will be the last. I can remember too many similar instances like "the show will end with s5" "it'll end with 7" etc to take a definite end date seriously. The show is still getting strong ratings so there's no reason for the network to cancel. It all comes down to Jared and Jensen IMO and since none of us know them personally there's no way for us to know for definite.

Shame the rating was not good :( Kripke has no luck since Supernatural has he? -sigh-

• I have to confess I’m far from an expert in such matters, but wouldn’t the coroner be able to tell the difference between damaged inflicted by a blunt blow to the head and falling from a rooftop? • Kilgrave as the little voice in Jessica’s head assuring her that she did the right thing was perfect. If Jessica’s psyche were to be separated into two parts; one part being the part that hated herself for what she did and the other part the darker aspect of her psyche which attempts to justify the murder Kilgrave is a perfect manifestation of that darker psyche. • The Malcolm / Jessica break up scene (for lack of a better word) was hard to watch :( . They’d better make up before the finale. -
• Poor Malcolm :( . He’s trying so hard to make a life for himself and form bonds, but the others around him aren’t recovered enough from their own traumas to give him what he needs. I really hope Jessica can continue to become more open with him as the show progresses. • Loving the storyline with Trish this season. However, while I think there may be a certain degree of jealously involved I don’t think it is just that. I think after all she has been through Trish wants the power to be able to defend herself and her friends as needed. She doesn’t want to ever be in the position where she is powerless and relying on others to save her. • Good riddance to bad rubbish re the prison guard. How is Jessica going to get out of this one though? :s

Yes, in the season one finale Lucy opted to tell Carol the truth about the work she had been doing and the existence of Amy. Carol rejected Lucy’s plans to get Amy back as “Rittenhouse would never allow it. Rittenhouse would never let you take the lifeboat to make me sick, all to get some girl no one but you knows or cares about”. So she’s aware of Amy’s (former) existence, but her own sense of self-preservation came first! The trips Emma were sent on were clearly to ensure Carol would never get sick again.

Does anyone know why Kripke and Ryan’s haven’t written any episodes since the Season One Pilot? I’m also a Supernatural fan and remember how hands on Kripke was so I found that surprising!

S02.E01: AKA Start At The Beginning
Wayward Son replied to The Crazed Spruce's topic in Jessica Jones [V]
I’ve watched as far as episode 9 and there have been few, if any, references to the Defenders. As long as you’ve watched season one of Jessica Jones you should have no problem with this season :)
