I think he primarily had Sam in mind when he purchased the second chair, whether Sam ends up using it a lot is another thing of course. To me buying a second chair for Sam makes sense since Sam is the only one who lives in the bunker with him full time. Im a Cas fan, as everyone well knows by now, but even to me buying a second chair for Cas, but not buying a chair for the other guy who lives there full time just sounds weird. Plus it was Sam he was eagerly showing the room to in the clip.
-
I’m assuming he’ll expect the others to take the floor, or grab a chair from the main room unless of course he wants it to be his and Sam’s private brothers only area.

I’m guessing 0.7 maybe 0.8 at a push. With all the promo I’m expecting it to be up from the recent 0.5 - 0.6 but I don’t think the change will be overly dramatic.

Supernatural Bitterness & Unpopular Opinions: You All Suck
Wayward Son replied to mstaken's topic in Supernatural
I’m honestly not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but just in case! - I really hope they find a way to keep Jack/Alexander around next season! I think Alexander is a great actor and the clips I’ve seen of him give the impression he really loves being a part of the show. I also think Jack as a character has potential! -
I’m not sure what to think of Cas’ “I once led armies and now I’m paired with a philstine and talking dog line”. I don’t think he’s shown such snobbery / arguable disdain towards anyone since he was humbled by the catastrophe that was Godstiel. Except perhaps Metatron and Lucifer and that’s because they were bad guys not general snobbery.

OK just as I stopped discussing that particular incident last night I am going to make this my last post on the topic as a whole. I think we can just agree to disagree. There are aspects of his behaviour I find troubling which have nothing to do with shipping, and if true would leave me with a lowered opinion of the man. If others don’t see the implications that’s fine, OR if others see them and condone such attitudes then that’s their business. At this point It’s definitely time for an agree to disagree on my end. Have a nice day everyone. I was not referring to your post.

I find it amusing how Ackles fans are so quick to dismiss those who question his behaviour as simply bitter shippers. I for one do not ship either Destiel or Wincest. - Finding Ackles publicly equating gay to unmanly in an interview troubling has nothing to do with whether he ships Destiel or Wincest. - Finding his statement he wanted to do Cow Boy movies until Brokeback Mountain (a movie known for its gay leads) came out troubling has nothing to do with whether he ships Destiel or Wincest. - Encouraging a booing crowd and telling someone “not to ruin it for everyone” because they dared mention they were bisexual has nothing to do with whether he ships Destiel or Wincest. Finding the encouragement of group bullying distasteful has nothing to do with shipping. Im not going to go as far as to say he definitely is since I don’t know the man personally, but he has no one to blame but himself for raising the question in some people’s minds. Rather than as per usual with this fandom trying to brush off stuff as “oh it’s just the [ship name] shippers” or “It’s just jealously”. How about accepting some people may just interpret words differently to you and don’t like what they hear. .

A great season opener IMO, which appropriately dealt with the fallout of the season one finale at both a city wide level and a personal level. • Oliver’s new mission statement is quite interesting although I doubt he’ll be able to keep up the “no kill” rule for long. • Thea’s journey throughout the episode was well done! I thought Willa Holland did a great job of conveying her inner conflict. • I loved the Walter appearance and I’m glad Moira’s “you still have family” remark was in reference to him. • The first appearance of the Black Canary (I think that is what she is called?) Yay!

For what it’s worth I’d consider the bit in bold to be over the line. As I said, anything personal to their real life such as intimate details of their sex life, their ‘size’, what school will their kids go to etc should totally be off limits. The next part we will have to agree to disagree on. Anything show related (bar spoilers they’re publicly not allowed to share) should be allowed even if they’ve answered it a hundred times before.
-
On a more general note re con questions rather than the specific incident being discussed (I said I was done with that particular discussion and I meant it) IMO unless a question is truly out of line (such as intimate details about their sex lives or other real life stuff) fans should be allowed to ask whatever questions they want. The actors are being paid a ridiculous amount of money to be there, the fans have paid a ridiculous amount of money to be there and ask questions; if fans want to ask the same question a hundred times be it about Dean’s sexuality, what’s their favourite season, what’s their favourite episode, whats storyline do they wish had gone on longer etc then they should be allowed to do it. Being bored of the same old questions isn’t an excuse for being rude. They’re there to do a job, and being paid quite handsomely to it, then they should just do it!

I do not understand why people are talking as though the fact J2 tinhatters exist is relevant to this discussion. A fan believing in bi-sexual Dean, or in this case personally identifying as bisexual, is entirely different to being someone who believes Ackles is secretly married to Jared and bearding. Both the assumption “a fan is bisexual = they must ship J2 and bash their wives” and further use of that assumption as some sort of justification for Ackles’ behaviour is frankly insulting. Im going to bow out of this conversation here rather than make any further posts on this topic.

IMO Ackles handled the entire situation incorrectly. Not allowing someone to finish their question, allowing them to be intimidated by the crowd and then telling them to “‘not ruin it for anyone else” was appalling on his and the crowds part. IMO there were far better ways of ‘shutting down’ the questioner for example letting them finish the question and if it’s objectionable simply stating “Since I’ve discussed this topic of Dean’s sexuality on previous occasions and my opinion has not changed I will not be answering further questions on it”.
-
The funny thing is the fans question had nothing to do with bisexual Dean. Their question was going to be “As a bisexual I had to learn to get comfortable with parts of myself I was initially uncomfortable with. Would you say Dean has been getting comfortable with parts of himself as he has settled into the bunker?” Or something to that effect. The question was about growing more comfortable with yourself in Dean’s case expressing himself and finding somewhere to live for the first time. Unfortunately, Jensen was completely ignorant and encouraged a booing crowd before she could even finish her question. The entire incident was disgusting and appalling on both Jensen and the audiences part. I mean how dare someone be bisexual.

Thanks :) . I’m still working on learning the cast names. I only really know Stephen Amell and Katie Cassidy (because of her role on Supernatural). Hopefully I’ll the other names memorised soon enough :)

• Tommy Nooooooooo! That entire scene was heartbreaking. Amell, Cassidy and Donnell all played out their parts wonderfully! • Moira yasssssssss go momma Queen! She’s officially won me over with the press conference and announcing Malcolm’s plans to the world. Overall, a fantastic finale to the first season in my opinion. There was plenty of action, suspense and most importantly of all emotion. I’m really looking forward to seeing the aftermath in season two :)

These Spoilers Suck: Bitter Speculation About SPN Spoilers

Bashing? It would sound more like staying true to his selfish characterisation to me. However, I’m sure they’ll bash Fred in a manner similar to your suggestion just to prop up Dean and make his attempts at wrecking an existing relationship acceptable. -
1) The Good: The break in to Merlyn industries was perfection! Everyone had a suitable role to play, and there were some hilarious moments from Felicity, in particular her platonic comment to Oliver and the dramatic “but I love him” while posing as a Tommy fan girl. 2) The Bad: Oliver completely screwed Tommy over. Personally, I don’t blame Laurel. As far as she was concerned she was now single after Tommy had been the one to break up with her. On the other hand, Oliver had just encouraged Tommy to try and get back with Laurel only to then go and sleep with her before he could reconcile with her. You were a complete and utter douche here Oliver.

And since Fred isn’t an abusive asshole that would even be worse. -

I was just saying that’s what they’re going with and since Daphne/Fred is established I feel Daphne not going with Dean is the right thing. Ackles also seems to confirm my thoughts on it being Dean vs Fred since he says “[He’s] not a big fan of Fred, simply because he’s getting in the way of [Dean’s] advances to Daphne.”
