  1. The first half was bad but that second half and OT were great. I enjoy the game more when it is close. For all the complaining about Taylor being onscreen, "the 34-year-old singer/songwriter was on all of 55 seconds (51 seconds before the game-winning touchdown) out of a broadcast that took about four hours and 18 minutes to complete. This is counting her sightings from kickoff until the game went final." USA Today
  2. This is Last Week Tonight's first time in this category - they were moved from the other category (Talk Show I think) because technically, they are not one. They don't have guests lol
  3. I am so ready to be done with this year for many personal reasons but losing two of my favorite actors/characters from two of my favorite shows in the last few months is the final straw. Matthew Perry was my crush in my college years, imperfect but quick-witted with a good heart, just like Chandler. Now we have lost Andre Braugher whose Raymond Holt was a perfect foil/father figure for Jake. I never watched Homicide so I cannot speak to him as a dramatic actor but his Holt never failed to make me smile. He really shined with Andy Samberg and I loved them together in witness protection, Holt officiating Jake and Amy's wedding or crashing their honeymoon. I think season 6 was my favorite season of Holt and the drinking contest episode, where he downed the last bottle of wine to save the bar, may be one of the best. Rest in peace Andre. My deepest condolences to your family and friends during this horrible time.
  4. I don't know who Heather is either but I think Cynthia's nerves caught up to her in the end. Me and my daughter both said "Pentagon" immediately after the clue was revealed and I am sure Cynthia is kicking herself because she missed it. Here is my thing, if she had taken advantage of the Double Jeopardy categories instead of wagering conservatively, she could have run away with this game. Wil Wheaton is the only celebrity I have seen really take advantage of these and it was great and won him his game. You are still walking away with at least $30,000 no matter where you place, take some chances. I loved all the contestants reaction to the Triple Jeopardy and Final Jeopardy categories. They obviously were there to win but not at the expense of having fun. And I love that they kept giving Heather a hard time about the Doctor Game and Ken's response that that is not the same game as Operation lol.
  5. At the end of the first episode, Frasier bought the building and offered to let both Freddy and not-GF to live in there rent-free as long as Freddy moved in with him so they could bond. She immediately agreed and I would too - free rent of a nice apartment in Boston as a single mom. Hell yeah!
  6. Man, this one is a tough one for me to judge because it hit a little too close to home for me. As a widow of a fallen firefighter whose flag is sitting in a box on my mantle right now, and then the final whammy of John Mahoney, I got a little teary eyed. I like Freddy and that he chose his own path while I can also understand the distance that would put between father and son. I do believe them as father and son and am excited to see Bebe back as Lillith sometime this season. Not sure how I feel about David yet, not seeing him as Daphne's son. Niles, yes, but not Daphne.

First of all, excellent performance by the women and cannot wait for Worlds in October. Secondly, can someone please explain the individual medals to me. I love Jocelyn but Simone had a higher point total so how did she not even place on vault? Can someone please explain?
  8. Anyone else seeing a link between Claim to Fame and the Masked Singer? Jenny McCarthy is a judge and Donny Osmond came in 2nd place on the show one season... That is another reason these contestants may know Donny - he experienced an uptake in publicity in 2019 because of the show and appeared on the show in 2022. It's not like Donny has been hiding in the shadows. Also, could the mask and dog clues be for Donny and not Jim Carrey? As we saw last night, the clues can be manipulated by the contestants to connect to any celebrity.
  9. First off, my 12-yr old granddaughter started laughing out loud when the group said Elton John. Thanks to Dua Lipa, even she knows who he is and that there was no way he was related to Chris. Secondly, as a child of the 80's I remember Donny Osmond making a little bit of a mainstream comeback with two songs - Soldier of Love and Sacred Emotion. Both were hits in 1989 and his face was everywhere while he promoted the songs. Chris is the spitting image of his Dad at that time.
  10. Bumping up this topic because Crime Scene Kitchen is finally coming back!!! Premier is June 5th... Crime Scene Kitchen Season 2 Judges
  11. Also not sad to see Tini go. The minute she used the pan on the grill, I knew she was done. You have a grilling challenge, they want that charcoal flavor and searing on the protein. A good chef can make a great meal with great ingredients. A great chef can take the most basic ingredients and create an incredible meal. Tini gave up when she got the chicken breast because it wasn't what she wanted to cook. Instead of looking for an opportunity to elevate it, she let the chicken get the best of her. Again, the mentor gave up on her. Gordon should have been saying to her "Why are you putting the chicken in a pan for a grilling challenge?" Instead he let her do it without saying a word about it. Sure, he whispered encouragement but even he knew that he might as well stick a fork in Tini because was done.
  12. Having watched all three episodes, I think I am for the season. I enjoy the characters and the songs, and the characters are not simplistic but seem to have at least some depth. Buddy, for instance, is not just some rich, white guy who doesn't care about Jane's feelings, he is torn between his family and friends and his feelings for Jane. Yes, it was stupid of his to lie to his buddy about what happened between him and Jane, but he did not do it maliciously. I actually think Buddy and Jane have more chemistry than her and Ritchie but that is just my opinion. My biggest issue is that this could be called Glee: The Early Years and it would not change anything about the show except for the school and the names of the gangs. I even wondered if Dianna Agron had come back to play Susan, that is how much Madison Thompson reminds me of Quinn Fabray. I have no doubt that eventually she will become frenemies with the Pink Ladies, if not a Pink Lady herself.
  13. I am ready for Tini to be gone, she is not half as good as she thinks she is. She is the definition of the arrogance of youth. And I really want one of the chefs to tell Michelle to put her hair up when she is in the kitchen cooking. Not only is she risking contaminating her food with her hair, it is also a major safety hazard. It could catch fire, get caught on something, or any number of other things. Why do they let her get away with it? Loved Vinny but it was time for him to go. I think the stress of the competition was too much for him and he cracked.
  14. I would - I have taken out and put in my contacts in a lot of places over the last 30 years, including the ER where I work. As a new lens wearer, no, but for those of us with lots of experience, I could see it not being a big deal. I really want to like this show, I do, and yet something is just off about it. The chemistry between the characters is missing, they do not feel like a group of friends. Jesse is definitely the weakest part for me. I had no issues with Piz but Jesse is just annoying me this season and I do not know why. I also think they are trying too hard to convince me that Jesse is the father which means he will not be. Future husband, yes, but he is not the father.
  15. GHScorpiosRule - agree, Matt is not long for this competition either but I think he may have judge a smidge more knowledge about other cuisines than April. In all fairness, Matt did start out strong and won the immunity pin for his first dish, which is more than April can say. It has just not been great since then. BTW - I love your screen name - I have written Scrubs fanfiction for years
  16. I think Nyesha was done with April this episode which is why she really didn't help her at all. April was way out of her league and probably shouldn't have even made the show - she just feels like she does not have the wide expanse of culinary knowledge needed for this competition. Everyone left seems to know at least a little bit about all different cuisines but April was in over her head from the start and has just been treading water. I am sure her specialty food is excellent but she can't seem to shift her thinking from her niche. Nothing wrong with being excellent at one style of food but cooking competitions require a wider range of food knowledge. Michelle needs to put that hair up! She is going to make an excellent dish but end up in the cook-off because there is a hair in the dish and the chefs can't eat it. I cannot believe that no one has said anything to her about putting her hair up - that should be cooking 101.
  17. First bootleg of the Eras Tour out - she sounds great and does all or parts of over 40 songs for an over 3 hour concert. She knows that her fans paid a lot of money to see her and she did her best to try and give them their money's worth. Would I spend that kind of money to see her live - not unless I was rich, seeing Taylor would cost me a mortgage payment. BTW - Ticketmaster doesn't just hike up concert prices. I am attending a charity hockey game today (police versus firefighters) and tickets at the door are $11. If we bought tickets through TicketMaster they were $27 and none of the added fees go to the charity. How can they blame the venue when buying directly from venue was $18 less than buying from them?
  18. Now that I have had time to read everyone's reactions, I will weigh in on the Supporting Actress category, at least the three performances I watched. Please keep in mind this is only my opinion and I understand that a lot of people will disagree with me - that's fine. Just please be respectful of my opinion and I will be respectful of yours 🙂 Stephanie Hsu - honestly, hers was the performance I was least impressed with in the whole film. The only time she really shined to me was in the last scenes with Michelle Yeoh who elevated Hsu's performance. I never felt the conflict, only a petulant child who does not appreciate everything her parents have done for her. Maybe that was the point but it just left me cold to her character. Angela Bassett is an amazing actress and should have won 30 years ago but not for Wakanda Forever. She had a few great scenes but that should not equal an Academy Award (I'm looking at you Judy Dench). It was not a snub and her reaction, especially after losing the SAG Award, was the exact opposite of gracious. Maybe I shouldn't but I expect better from a woman I have always admired. Yes, you can be disappointed but do not blame Jamie Lee Curtis for that. Cate Blanchett was instantly on her feet for Michelle and won far more precursor awards than you did. It wasn't your award to lose and anyone who told you otherwise was lying to you. It was neck and neck and neck throughout the awards season and I guarantee you that Jamie Lee Curtis would have been the first one to give you a standing ovation if you had won. Which leads me to Jamie Lee Curtis who, I firmly believe, earned the award. Deirdre was a complex character throughout all the universes and JLC was great in all of them. I believed her as a heartless IRS agent who slowly allows this family to see a different and more injured side of her, a woman in love with Evelyn who is devastated when she leaves her and thrilled when she returns, a vengeful monster who only wants to destroy Evelyn, and so on. Each universe gave us a different, nuanced character and that is tough to do. Key He Quan, Michelle Yeoh, James Hong, and Jamie Lee Curtis all 4 did that and did it beautifully. It is no surprise to me that three of them ended up with Oscars for their performances. Again, just my opinion.
  19. New theory to throw out there - Rhys is real and the killer but he has a partner - Phoebe. My theory is that Joe recognized the sociopath in Phoebe hence her saying that he saw her in a way no one else ever has. Phoebe figured out that Joe was a sociopath too and decided to make him their scapegoat for the murders. Phoebe and Rhys are both sick of the group and want to help him get elected mayor with her eventually becoming his wife after he is elected. They have the makings of a nightmare power couple - she has money and fame and he is the serious intellectual. Together they appeal to everyone in London and put themselves on track for running his becoming Prime Minister while she pulls his strings in the background. It may sound crazy but no crazier than anything else on this show...
  20. First off, I am enjoying this reboot. It won't win any awards, except for the always amazing John Laroquette, but it is comfortable and sweet. Moving on to this episode and my biggest pet peeve as a widow - people insisting that you need to meet someone else. I was widowed at 32 and have not dated again in the 17 years following his death. At first it was a practical matter of raising my children and figuring out my life. Right after my granddaughter was born I realized that I am perfectly happy being alone. I have gotten my Bachelor's Degree and am working on my Master's, I work two jobs, I spend plenty of time with family and friends, and I love to travel by myself and see new sights. I have created a great life and if I meet someone who fits into it, great, but I do not need anyone telling me I have to find someone. The cat and I are doing just fine. Dan may not be in the same situation, we still don't know if there maybe a Dan or Danielle Jr out there, but the show could go the route of not insisting that Dan needs a partner. Father figure to Abby, great, but some people are just fine living alone. To quote the great Kelly Clarkson "Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone." Rant over - you may return to your regularly scheduled program 😉
  21. I do feel a little bad for Brendan but wagering is a huge part of this game. He knew he made a mistake in his final wager but I think his biggest mistake was not using the DDs to their full potential. He was safe in his wagering, even though he was getting most of the questions right. He was already guaranteed $50,000 for his charity so a few higher wagers, especially when he had commanding lead, would have made it impossible for Patton to catch up and win even if Patton did bet everything. Looking forward to the Finals next week - I think it will be a lot of fun.
  22. But he didn't. In the original series, yes, but in this trilogy's universe, Michael Myers was apprehended and incarcerated for 40 years until he escaped. That is what I was saying, Michael escaped justice for the dozens of people he killed when he escaped. Until that time, Laurie was just the looney woman in the woods. Once Michael escaped and went on the rampage, they needed someone to blame and she was the most likely target.
  23. Call me crazy, but I liked it. Is it the best of the Halloween movies? Hell no, not even close, but it had some good scares and I had a good time watching it with my friend. I didn't leave the theatre frustrated or pissed off like I did with both of Zombie's films. Haddonfield is a small town and they needed someone to blame for Michael's killings since they couldn't find him. Laurie had been saying for 40 years that Michael was coming back and I think a lot of people thought she may have willed it into happening, that by being so prepared for him to kill again, she brought him back into town. They need someone to blame and Laurie was an easy target. In addition, a tragedy like what happened will haunt a town, especially since the person who did it escaped justice. You start to see the killer everywhere and in every bad thing that happens. Michael needed to die and everyone needed to witness that death if the town were ever to move on. Basically, Haddonfield was stuck in the anger stage of grief and now they can finally move to acceptance. And so can Laurie and Alison. Alison can move on from her parents' deaths and know that her grandma will be fine. And Laurie can finally have a normal relationship with Hawkins. I may be the only one, but I enjoyed their tentative steps toward each other. And Corey... I think there was always something a little off about Corey but it took being shunned and threatened by the townspeople to bring it out. He was honestly trying to just lay low and move on with his life but the town wouldn't let him. The final push was running into Michael. Evil recognizes evil and that is why Michael let Corey live. Tired of being treated badly because of what happened, he decided to become the monster they already believed he was. I wish, like a poster mentioned above, that they had placed Corey in the earlier films to really give us a chance to know his character but hindsight is 20/20. If I understand the situation correctly, Jeremy was standing outside the door as Corey was kicking it open. The final kick hit Jeremy and the force threw him over the railing. It was an accident, a horrible one, but an accident none the less. These are just my thoughts. My ranking of the films for this timeline: Halloween (1978), Halloween (2018), Halloween Ends, and Halloween Kills. Unlike the other timelines, I have no problem watching all of the films again. Cannot say the same thing for either of the Zombie films, Resurrection, or Halloween 5.
  24. I really enjoyed this and am looking forward to the whole season. All three contestants were fun and personable. I especially loved when Mayim said that they were happy to have Andy back and Ego was like speak for yourself. I also loved the surprise ending of Andy losing in Final Jeopardy. Usually when you have someone with that great a lead. the only person who could beat them doesn't wager enough in Final Jeopardy. Simu was smart, he risked it all and that was why he won. He didn't overthink his decision, just went with his gut and hoped Andy would miss the question. Ego was too reserved in her playing for me. I was almost yelling at her when she got the daily double "You have a degree in biology and you are majorly behind - risk it all!!!". She didn't and instantly regretted it when the clue was basic anatomy, something she must have taken to get her degree. Jeopardy is a game of risks - if you don't take the risks when needed, you don't win.
  25. I would not be surprised at all to learn when all this is over that Logan is actually very intelligent. graduated top of his class at college, works in an office or has his own successful business, and is just playing everybody the whole time. He has always managed to place himself in the middle of the pack and has only been the guesser when he wanted to be. He has picked his confidantes carefully and the people he wants out go that episode. Every person in that house has underestimated him at some time or another and only realized too late that he played them. I do think that if it comes down to him and LC, he knows who her celebrity relative is but she still may not know his. How odd that Jason Aldean's name just happened to come up this week? I don't think it is producer shenanigans but that is not exactly a household name outside of country music. Most everyone has heard of Kenny Chesney, Garth Brooks, and Tim McGraw but, besides his duet with Kelly Clarkson, Aldean doesn't seem to be well known outside of the country circles. I used to listen to country all the time and liked his music and I still would not have come up with that name.
