  1. His kids really are trainwrecks. They were complete jerks to him and Rebecca in the Thanksgiving ep in season 3. And then he got to the Pearson Thanksgiving and Annie excitedly yelled "Grandpa!" and ran to hug him and he got the love he deserved.
  2. I think the only complaint I've had about casting is that I'm pretty sure Kid Kate is taller than Teen Kate. I did not call the pregnancy. And I immediately assumed this ep that she had an abortion, because of her conversation with the baby's mother, and that would make sense with her insistence on getting pregnant with Baby Jack, but now I'm wondering if she didn't tell anyone that she did have a baby and gave it up for adoption because in a family that has adopted, they wouldn't think that was the right choice for her because she would have support or they'd be upset that she gave away a child that had "a piece of Dad" as she called it in season 3. And it'd be totally in this show's wheelhouse to have a secret Pearson out there. I can't wait for the viral video to pick up that the stripping city councilman is the brother of movie star Kevin Pearson. That Foster guy seems like a jerk. Genuinely don't know what to think of the "atta boy" basket. I did like Kevin making a connection to the material when he asked Kate "Honestly?" and didn't realize until this thread opened that it was the name of the episode.
  3. Toby: Serious Toby is very excited. It's just hard to tell because he's so serious. * Deja: You're enjoying this way too much. Something is wrong with you. * Jack: Miguel and Shelly said - Rebecca: Who cares what Miguel and Shelly said? Who made them experts? Their kids are trainwrecks! * Randall: I'm not going to cry today. I know a lot of you like to take bets on that. * Annie: I wanna see! Beth: No, baby. There are some things you can't unsee and this is one of them. * Malik: You know Deja's gonna lose her mind, right? Randall: Oh, I'm counting on it.
  4. All right, nice things first: 1. Good revenge in leaving Chuck human and stuck living instead of being destroyed by the Winchesters. Fitting revenge. 2. Dog. 3. The horror of being the only ones left on earth. 4. The desperation caused by having no one left to save, not even the dog. Good characterization for the boys and a solid evil plan. 5. Sam and Dean just constantly getting back up no matter how many times Chuck knocked them down. 6. Remembering Adam exists and Dean acknowledging that guy never gets a break. Hope he got brought back to life when others snapped back since he was separated from Michael. 7. Impala on country roads montage. Dislike: 1. Falling for Satan’s fakeout. 2. Super Jack. 3. Exposition. 4. Didn’t get to see all my favorites snap back. 5. Biggest battle yet being boring and not even the Winchesters’ win. I do hope next week is better but I have no idea what’s gonna happen. I don’t know how much it’s going to be different from what was planned or if what was originally planned would’ve been any better. I do think we’ll get a happy ending which for so long I thought was impossible. There’s actually gonna be peace when they’re done!
  5. That literally made me yell “Nooo!” at the screen. It gave me Infinity War flashbacks. I liked it. I feel like they packed a lot into it. I kept looking at the clock thinking we were closer to the end than we were. Dean looked gorgeous tonight, especially when holding the scythe. Like his hair looked really nice, better than normal. The scene with Cas was really powerful and highlighted Dean’s goodness in a way I hadn’t fully considered.
  6. I felt the show did a pretty good job embracing the elephant in the room. The only part about it that felt disingenuous was when they first brought it up between Kevin and Madison, since it hadn't yet been mentioned. I do think the point about the study being canceled was a good one. No idea if they always intended Rebecca not to go, but the consequence of the thing that started the fight is out of the equation is kind of interesting. I got Lost vibes from Randall's mom's eye-opening at the end. I know it had been speculated that she was alive, but that didn't feel real to me. That being said, I'm curious. Did she get her life together? Did William ever know she lived? Did she have other children? Does Randall have biological siblings? How come the private investigator who found William never tracked her down? Little things I liked: Toby thinking Kev is the new Batman. Clearly, he's the Green Arrow. I thought Kate crying while she was talking to Randall was some good acting from Chrissy Metz. And she looked like she had lost some significant weight in that short dress when talking to Kevin and Madison on the lawn, although I'm sure some of it was just that the dress was very flattering especially to her legs. I'm also happy Timothy Omundson showed up for five seconds and got his paycheck and that Annie remains adorable. And, haha to Randall calling Madison "the only friend in the family."
  7. As much as I love the idea of Peter and original Mary Jane together, I can't deny that Tom and Zendaya have chemistry. And it's not like there's not a history of changing up superhero couples, especially when the chemistry's there. Tony and Pepper never married in the comics, right? And to pop over to DCTV, Oliver Queen has twice married blonde nerds who hadn't appeared in the comics before.
  8. Well, it seemed like the storyteller would turn out to be Jamie or Dani, so that's not surprising. Am I crazy for thinking there was too much happy ending epilogue to this? Owen lived and Miles got dispossessed! Those were the things I was deeply concerned about. And to a lesser degree, I needed Henry to live, but this has more to do with the Elliot dying in E.T. scenes breaking my heart than anything else. I'm glad all the ghosts found peace, that Peter sincerely apologized to Miles, that Jamie and Dani had time, etc. Between this series and The Turning, I'm gonna have to finally read The Turn of the Screw and figure out what's really going on there. So that's really Flora and everybody else not recognizing or pretending to not recognize Jamie? Why is her accent fancy? What year is this taking place? Is Flora 40? What's her first name? What was the name of Owen's restaurant? Who invited Jamie?
  9. Seriously! I don't like entire episodes of no followup to cliffhangers.
  10. I think she was faking it. She picks ups the bottle and puts it to her lips, same Dani’s tea, but doesn’t really drink.
  11. All right, I got way too emotional over some parts of this. Really this is the episode where they gave Peter some depth and make you feel a little bad for him, but it’s overshadowed by him being a terrible person. I’m tired of faceless ghost lady killing everyone. I’m glad Rebecca was faking but it sucks that she didn’t save Miles.
  12. I thought Hannah was dead since she never ate, although her seeming to drink gave me pause. I’ve got a bad feeling about Owen now. And my love of Ravi from iZombie has carried over to him, so I need him alive. Sigh. It’s so tragic that she died right before Dani got there. I didn’t see that aspect of it coming. If she’d been 5 minutes earlier...
  13. Sam: Ignoring your trauma doesn't make you healthy. Dean: Yeah, it does.
  14. "Practicing your sign language" is a fun euphemism. Was this Jack's first "son of a bitch!"? And it came just after I was looking at his smile thinking he looked so much like Cas and then he just switched dads to resemble. Dean correcting his "Dang it!" to "Damn it! DAMN IT!" was adorable. Loved that Sam got to yield Mjolnir again. And was that the grenade launcher Dean had? Their best weapons! I will definitely be using some of those happy holiday moments in a future fanvideo. Sam reminded me of Reid from Criminal Minds in his date outfit. I liked Dean's progression with Jack. Trying to move forward. The cake was a nice touch. And looked like a pretty decent cake too. I'm glad Mrs. Butters didn't end up evil. She was a fun one-off character. And she fixed the TV from Scoobynatural! And revealed Dean has Scooby boxers. But her complaining they didn't have homecooked meals immediately after Dean cooked was just plain wrong. It's always the non-monstery stuff that scares me on this show - the fingernail pulling. Putting that on the list of "Most Horrifying Supernatural Moments" next to the other fingernail pulling, the Drano and the garbage disposal. I think this is the longest I've gone without watching Supernatural since 2005. I don't think I've watched any full episodes during this hiatus and it's definitely the longest hiatus ever.
  15. I think I made this video just to cheer myself up after Oliver's death.
  16. Thanks. His scene was so quick that I didn't know which one it was. And usually I pride myself on being able to tell them apart. (I think Shawn is cuter. This is how I tell them apart.) I thought the dog was named Taro, like the plant. He is adorable and possibly my favorite character on the show now. I thought Black Noire was either a remote controlled bot or was going to be revealed as Butcher's dead brother.
  17. It's the hair. I stare at it mystified because I thought that was one 90s trend that wasn't coming back. And I don't hate it. I was not prepared for the emotional roundhouse kick to the chest that binge watching this series was. That ending was intense. That choreography and filming was insane and awesome and really well done. And seriously, did the school not go into lockdown when a girl who I'm 99% sure didn't go to that school started making threats over the intercom? Don't care about Ali coming back...unless they throw in some Adventures in Babysitting references. All the talk of Terry Silver coming back just makes me think "Huh, they should bring in Michael Ironside's character from The Next Karate Kid as some kind of security guy at the high school only to have him make everything worse, and no one knows to warn anybody cause all his crap happened 3,000 miles away 25 years ago in a different branch of the franchise."
  18. It was season 6. Did they lock him up when he thought Iris was fake when she kicked him out?
  19. Can I quote the gag real? I'm gonna quote the gag reel. Barry: You guys always lock me in here! This is so f***ed up! Every time I kind of f*** up you just put me in the box!
  20. I need to say this to Legends fans as they’re the only ones who’ll get it. I walked into work this morning after cutting off about 6 inches of hair to be greeted with “Hey, Haircut!” I smiled way too hard at that.
  21. Deke rubbing Jemma's back and saying "Relax. Get some rest. I got you" made me like him 50% more, along with all of his protectiveness as he took her everywhere explaining she had memory loss. It had a very real grandma/grandson vibe to it. This finale was really Deke at his best. Staying behind to help the team and because he knew they could still have a future Deke, but also because he's "basically a rock god" in this timeline and declaring himself the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D? Such a Deke move. Daisousa kiss! (did we ever name them?) Love that they're just traveling through space together on missions. And that ET made Sousa cry. Garrett thinking he could just teleport away in the handcuffs was so stupid. But he tried to be decent, so I feel bad for him getting shot in the head. Then the karma of it being someone Old Garrett killed was just a perfect moment. May hugged Daisy! I didn't get teary-eyed at Jemma's wedding ring being the final piece of the machine. Or Fitz's relieved "Jemma!" upon arrival. Like I think we all knew when a man arrived it would be Fitz, but I also went "Yep, that's definitely the sound of Fitz breathing" as confirmation more than his shape was. The quantum realm! Fitz talking Jemma through the future was so beautiful. And it was very obvious where they were going with Alya. Their reunion was really sweet. I got Fringe finale vibes from the picnic with their tiny blonde daughter. I really respect that they didn't even put a commercial break between Daisy "dying" and reviving. Like, we knew that wouldn't stick, and they didn't even act like they thought we would. Coulson got his car back! Fitting that in the time of Covid, the series basically ended with a Zoom meeting. This was beautiful. Deeply satisfying. The only way I could have liked it more is if we got a Bobbi/Hunter cameo and brought Tripp back from the dead.
  22. May: I remember that room. It cost you a hand. Coulson: Seemed like a big deal at the time. Now look at me. * Sousa: Well, that sounds peachy. Mack: Did you just say peachy? Sousa: Yeah, so? Mack: If we get out of here, I gotta teach you some new words. And don't let Daisy hear you talking like that. Sousa: Why, does it mean something bad now? Mack: No, it's just - It's a fine word. You're a fine man. * Jemma: I can smell his hair, but I can't see his face. * Jemma: I know this place. Home. * Mack: Find me some duct tape. * Deke: Danny Boy over here is still impressed by a light bulb. Sousa: That's not accurate or nice. * Agent Piper: Oh, come on, are you guys messing with time again?! * Jemma: You were with me the whole time. Fitz! * Mack: That was some serious flying there. May: That used to be all I did. * Coulson: Hope this works. Mack: You hope. I'll pray. * Sybil: And what comes next? May: *drops from the ceiling* The cavalry. * Coulson: Look, if this is a contest, I've died like seven times. * Daisy: She's been through a lot. But it's funny what can happen when someone believes in you.
  23. Prudence handing Roz a sword in the final battle was a nice moment. And Theo with his rifle. Glad to see Hilda get her revenge and get her fiance back. I was certain she had bitten his head off. I loved Ambrose going all Doc Brown about Sabrina causing a paradox. I was confused by Roz in the Hectate circle when they were awakening Hilda. Queen Sabrina's outfit and makeup look stupid, but I respect the costume designer's work.
  24. My biggest takeaway from the episode was my surprise at realizing how much I shipped Prudence and Ambrose when she died in his arms. And permanently dead Harvey would make me stop watching.
  25. It was nice to finally see some new Fitz footage. Jemma freaking out about forgetting and then her completely forgetting him was heartbreaking. If she’s forgotten Fitz, does she still remember Deke is her grandson? She was definitely giving off protective Nana vibes, but idk. I’m going to need Fitz alive in the finale. Give these two some peace for once. And a baby Fitzsimmons on the way. Sousa and Mack bonding over Daisy’s superhero name is adorable. As is Mack’s “what are your intentions?” Nice enforcement of the team as family between that and Daisy’s comments. I’m not crying over her calling Jemma her sister. Nope.
