  1. 538 is talking about just how bad the Jets are. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-jets-are-bad-but-are-they-0-16-bad/?ex_cid=SigDig
  2. It's already the most viewed video of all time on YouTube.
  3. Kayla wanted to keep Tripp happy so he wouldn't press charges against Joey. Even though that won't be sufficient.
  4. Did I miss something? Why is Rafe not in Mexico? Why did we have the Hope angst over his leaving? How does Abe know Theo broke the law? The Kayla and Tripp scenes were great. They lucked out when they found Lucas Adams. And the scenes with Kate and Andre were golden. I am very confused about the lines of command in Salem. How does the mayor have the power to fire anyone in the police department? What the heck is Andre wearing? They really do dress Kayla in the ugliest clothes.
  5. Here's the full video of Haley Reinhardt singing the song and clips from the longer version of the commercial"
  6. A lot of celebs are tweeting their sorrow over the death of Joe Bologna. He was obviously very well liked.
  7. Ugh. The giants and Hunter Pence tweeted about Pablo Sandoval coming back "where he belongs". I replied to them, "Nope, he shit on the club when he left, he should have been left to twist in the wind." At least some people liked my tweet.
  8. More detail about Melaswen (New Salem, spelled backwards). A former iteration of the producers were trying to trim salaries so they killed off a lot of the old fan favorites. When the fans rebelled, the writers decided all of those characters hadn't really died, but had been taken off to an island called Melaswen.
  9. As a veteran (although I did not serve in combat), I think that the statement that says "People died for your right not to stand for the anthem" is tone-deaf. You are exactly right, even though you don't understand how right you are. If they hadn't fought for that right, the people who are not standing for the anthem would not have that right. The people who criticize the people who don't stand are demeaning the deaths, not the people who are not standing.
  10. I love that song, sung by American Idol alumna Haley Reinhardt.
  11. I knew John wouldn't be able to hear Marlena. Bonnie's pretty good at crying on queue. That bartender will discover that it's his problem if Lucas gets into a car and drives off and kills somebody, and the victim's family sues the bartender for overserving. That's settled case law. "Did you ever think of your son at all when you were bangin' back the booze?" Good point, Victor. They have a maid at the Martin House? "It must have been that peanut."
  12. My favorite new song right now. "Wish I Knew You" by The Revivalists
  13. There's a new Tim and Charlie Gogurt ad. https://www.ispot.tv/ad/w6Ge/gogurt-yoga-with-tim-and-charlie
  14. Today's Sacramento Music Circus was Damn Yankees, and it was my favorite performance of the season so far (with Sister Act coming up in two weeks). Stars: Jason Graahe as Mr. Applegate. He was SOOOOO good. He was The Cat in the Hat in last year's Seussical. He did a lot of ad libbing. There was a bit where he had just sung "Those Were the Good Old Days", the audience cheered, and he said, "It's not over yet. This is my only solo, you know." And then after that, he had to go off and change clothes real quick, and when he came back on he was in the middle of one of his speeches, and he said, "My pants are unbuttoned." And he paused to button up. And the he was looking through his scrapbook of past serial killers, and, Music Circus being in the round, he showed the scrapbook all round, and then held it over his head so the people behind him could see it. Lynne Wintersteller as Meg. She was Dolly in Hello, Dolly last year, and she is sooo good in both. Jeff Howell as Old Joe. He had an absolutely lovely voice, and killed it in "Goodbye Old Girl". Zach Trimmer as Young Joe. He has a nice voice, but he was just okay, acting wise. Lindsay Roginski as Lola. She was very good. Great singer, great dancer, great legs. :) The choreography was stellar. It just so happened that I went to a nearby restaurant for dinner after the show and the choreographer was sitting behind me, eating. I heard him talking about the challenges of choreographing theater in the round. I did notice one slip up during "Who's Got the Pain When They Do the Mambo" where one of the ensemble girl cut in front of Lindsay Roginski and there was almost a collision. I was noticing that there didn't seem to be a lot of Fosse in the choreo, and then they did "Two Lost Souls" and I nodded and said, "Yep, there he is."
  15. Hunter Pence's nickname shirt says "Wawindaji". It's Swahili for hunter, so, okay... Austin Slater's is AC, in honor of "Saved by the Bell"'s AC Slater.
  16. As a psychiatrist, can't Marlena come up with a better strategy than yelling, "I don't belong here!"? They have two people who confessed to murdering the same guy, and they have both of them in prison? Shouldn't one of them be freed? Bonnie is trying to show some humanity in her Adrienne portrayal. I like the subtlety. Uhoh, the two alcoholics fell off the wagon. Dammit. Why does the music playing in the club sound like the backing music for porn? Ew, the idea of anybody doing it with Andre ... I love watching Bonnie and Hattie together. "They cuckooed me". LOL. I hope Brady wasn't driving I wonder if they recorded those flashbacks back when the party was taking place, Sonny's hair was all floppy then. Hm. Chloe and Lucas going to hook up again?
  17. Etta Candy is going to get her own short feature. https://moviepilot.com/p/etta-candy-short-film-wonder-woman-blu-ray-dvd/4344867?
  18. JJ just signed a new $95 million contract through 2021. http://www.tmz.com/2017/08/10/judge-judy-celebrates-95-million-dollar-contract/
  19. OMG, Christopher Sean followed me on Twitter. I think it may be because I replied to a couple of Billy Flynn's anti-Trump tweets.
